Inside the tents and around the campfire, many of the veteran soldiers were getting much needed sleep while the new recruits were scared awake. Either that or they were the 'strange' type, the ones that were over anxious to get into the fight. Everyone loved those guys, but on the other hand did not want to turn their backs near them. Unfortunately, the hardcore fighters were few in number and militia with useless ruffians made up the majority of the allied forces. That, was not good."Hey, did you see that?" one of the guards at the main entrance said to the other. His head had fallen to the right due to being tired and he was basically asleep while standing up.
It was the same soldier that was welcoming all the allies as they arrived. Ironic that he did not want or think he would see combat."Nah, you are seeing things Rong."The other guard rolled his eyes at his comrade who obviously had a case of the jitters. Unfortunately though, for them both, he did see something!
From the treeline, multiple fires could be seen igniting. After a moment they tallied in the hundreds and all raised simultaneously, aiming for the main camp.
Both guards were about to yell when they were cut down by multiple night arrows. They saw nothing coming and only heard a small whizzing noise before being slain.“Loose!!”The fire arrows were all let go, sending a loud twang throughout the area as they launched in unison. Any who were awake in the camp and heard something outside would see the sky light up with hundreds of flaming projectiles!"Wow! Check out the shooting stars!" one of the allied soldiers said to his buddy while nudging him with an elbow. Unfortunately, that guy needed some ancient glasses.
Arrows struck the tents, setting them on fire, and also many soldiers inside the camp who were exposed. Just as the majority of allied soldiers were trying to get prepared, a loud cheer could be heard from outside the camp.Enemy infantry was moving up, from behind the archers, and beginning to race toward the allied camp like water releasing from a broken dam. The missile units were preparing another attack, attempting to set the main camp further ablaze. The allied camp has been attacked by a Dong Zhuo Night Raid!!******************************* Generals: Dong Min and Niu Fu Troops: 500 Militia Spears 500 Militia Twin Axes 500 Militia Macemen 500 Militia Archers 100 Militia Hammers ********************************** **Note: All players who were ‘drinking’ are now slightly intoxicated so be careful.** **************************** ***New Battle Objectives:*** Protect He Jin from harm! (+50g)
Protect the main camp! (+50g to all)
Slay Dong Min (+1 War, +75g)
Push the raiders back to the river! (+100g to all)

((Well, here we go...))
Zhou Tai was naturally a light sleeper. He had trained himself to sleep as light as a feather, and taught the same skill to Zei Fang. And since neither had been drinking (Zei Fang had been drinking Tea Zhou Tai made to calm his nerves), the woke up as soon as they heard the twang of the arrows and the sizzling of the tent material. Zhou Tai shot straight up, and looked around him to see his tent on fire. He had slept in his armor (like always), and again, taught Zei Fang the same. "Zei Fang. Get the troops. Meet me on the West side of camp with the Twin Blades. I need to check on something. When you get there, lay low." Zhou Tai said as he exited the tent and drew his weapon. As he looked around... the enemy was upon them.
HE made his way to the main tent, not instigating any conflicts with the enemy troops, but making sure to cut down any that got in his path. Zhou Tai's face had no emotion on it. His eyes were colder than the dark side of them moon. And as his famed sword entered enemy bodies and ripped open enemy stomachs, he had enough composure to keep count. He kept count so that he could morally punish himself, because to him killing people was still wrong, no matter what the reason. To bad for Dong Zhou's troops that didn't stop him.
As he neared He Jin's tent, he saw a familiar Dark figure. He couldn't make out their face... Because he had no face to make out. This was the one Sun Ce approached. He zoned out of the bickering to try and hear his name, but couldn't figure out what he had said. The typical shady figure. Someone who would probably know how to execute a flanking maneuver.
He rushed towards He Jin's tent, He stood in front, weapon drawn, and mitioned with his right hand for the dark figure to come near as he held his sword in the ready position with his left. "Listen, once He Jin's position isn no longer compromised," he said, "We need to do something to fend these vermin off. The troops we have may not be of higher quantity, but they are higher quality, which in my oppinion is better. My troops, twin blades, are waiting for me on the East Side of the main camp. If we can somehow coordinate an attack... I was going to flank the nearest dense formation of enemy troops, but a Pincer move w9ould work so much better, if you catch my drift." he explained as he spun low and got a militiamen in the knees, and as he came up stabbed him through the head. Pushing the militiaman off his blade, he looked at the dark figure.
"Care to assist me, friend?"

The Dark Knight was listening to the messengers decree when he suddenly jolted the messenger aside, allow a stray arrow to pierce the floor around him. the sky had become illuminated, coating it's arms within lights that seemed hot enough to burn the mouth of Pillada Mors herself. Shocked, and unknowing of what to do - the Dark Knight bowed to Sun Ce and darted off to the main camp.
he saw troops as he ran, his soldiers falling in line behind him as he whistled loudly, the men cried - and yet the bolts of these flawless arrows seemed to over-power even the cries of the damned. Inside, the dark Knight offered these men a silent prayer, as his heart rejoiced at this most fortunate opportunity.
Awaiting him however was not bloodshed, it was instead a tall figure, who had began speaking as soon as his own men had fallen within line. "men, we will act without delay, take the path to the east and we'll help our friend here in diverting the enemies attention way."
The dark Knight turned upon the man then, his hood skimming past his frail hair as his dark, emotionless eyes sprang forth from the refinements of his darkened garments, "I am Dagoth general, i pray we may share a drink once this is over." smiling, he turned upon Lu Zhi, a man who he didn't in-particularly like all that much, "Take He Jin to the west, it will be safer within the mountains, we will keep the enemy under control long enough for you to escape, once you're in the mountains, look for an opening, two large stacks of rocks binding a path in between. we shall use that path to join you, but as soon as i cross that path, i need you need to trigger a rock slide, something to delay or force the enemy elsewhere. Our priority is to live - and fighting in such conditions can not sustain such drama if we are caught within melee for too long. Good luck, i shall be back soon i hope."
he took a moment to look back at Zhou Tai, it seemed these two would share a common goal for the next few hours, a goal of survival - of battle, and of destruction. "let us depart, there is a path west. leave a few soldiers around to spread the news, any other generals are to take their pick of joining He Jin and setting up the ambushes or joining us in holding the enemy off. remember, shields first, blades second."
he turned as another arrow skimmed by, striking at a tent that left it in left over fragments of material as it withered slowly to the ground, another thud followed, with a scream that indicated someone has just perished beneath this dark omen. "We must move NOW!"
And he ran off just in time to evade a dart heading to-wards him.
The Dark Knight and his 100 Veterans *sword and shield* are moving along the western path to flank the enemies west assault line.
EDIT : i had the map flipped in my mind, sorry! blame Curt hehe.

"Raaah! It's time for Zhang Fei!"
A Drunken Roar rang out amongst the Allied Camp as an intoxicated Zhang Fei had somehow managed to mount his horse and brandish his Spear. This was probably not the best of plans, but Yide was a man of action!
After his mighty bellow,Zhang Fei reared his steed and charged out of the camp's Northern Gate.Zhang Fei had only 100 Cavalry who wielded Spears and Shields, but once again he did not care.He and his cavalry began to trot once they were a small distance from the gate to conserve energy.
Zhang Fei marches to meet the enemy,North of the Allied Main Camp!

Little information was known to Lu Meng about the upcoming battle which will be set of in Dong Zhou's field of battle. Meng didn't think that the enemy would think of something such as somewhat creative as this, but Zhou's tactics seem to be very aggresive to catch his enemies off guard and quickly destroy them, since may lord in different regions have come to bring him down, but that's not the case as of right now. The guards should had at least gave us some warning before all of this mayhame came down raining on the allied forces.
Seeing as how Men was yet to introduce himself to the generals here or even the Commander He Jin himself, but it was obviously not the time for that as of now. He'll just introduce himself to the enemy lines. As the arrows fly over the Main Camp a few just trinkle over the head of Meng.Quickly Meng rushed towards his steed as his troops gather their weapons and meet Meng at his tent most of them we still somewhat groggy due to the veavy sleeping, but now they need to get in battle mod and start beheading some of enemy soldeirs.
Not knowing the man is, who is actually commandeing the night raid army, Meng was hoping he wiuld soon meet him face to face. But some main objectives was to protect the supplies and of course He Jin himself. Hopfully some generals under his command would protect him sercurly while some we to actually fend off the raiders.
As more men started pouring in the tent. Meng quickly ran towards the gates but secured by his men not to be surrounded by enemy soidlers. He heads towards the far eastern part of the battle hopfully ableing to team up with a fellow general and capture one of the enemies boats while his 25 Spearmen and swordsmen make their way to collaps the enemy pocket then to be surrounded by the rest of the allies soldiers in orders to make quick work of these men. Though not actually charging but make a causious run towards the enemy, the rest of Mengs men stood back until orderd to fight in the battle. But hopfully before all of this some men not able to fight and some they had to much to drink would get rid of the fires that was engulfing the tents.

Gongwei had been in the command tent with He Jin and Huangfu Song, discussing plans and concerns. There was some dissent between the allies previously, which caused a great deal of concern for the Han generals. There was silence in the tent, an unsettling silence that seemed to diminish the confidence of all present. Unable to stand it much longer, Jun as about to speak up, but just as he was opening his mouth -- something happened. There was much calamity outside the tent, and yelling pervaded the air. Gongwei scowled, and made his way to the entrance of the tent. He scanned the area and saw that there were fires all about the camp.
A raid... "Lord! We have a situation! It seems we have indeed underestimated the enemy. They have launched a raid, and several parts of the camp are ablaze. I ask that you give me command of half of the militia and ruffians to help repel this enemy attack. We must react quickly or it will be our undoing!" Zhu Jun may not have had the greatest confidence in He Jin, but he was going to do all that he could to create a victory for the Han, that much, he was sure of.

"Sir! We're under attack!" cried a panicked soldier as he dashed into Zhang He's tent. Junyi was in a deep slumber, trusting the other generals to keep watch. The soldier nervously approached his commander and shook him lightly by the shoulder. "Sir, wake up! We're under att-ACK!" He was interrupted as Junyi's hand shot up and slapped him across the face.
"How dare you! I told you never to interrupt my beauty sleep," scolded Zhang He as he sat up from his cot, "Why on earth would you disobey such a solemn order?"
"My apologies, sir, but we're under attack. They surprised us. What are your order?"
"An attack at this hour? So uncouth. Gather the men. I shall be with your shortly."
Once Junyi had slipped into his clothing and donned him talons, he strode from the tent, where his company of soldiers waited. Half were armed with short spears and shields, while the others supported them with bows. They saluted as Junyi appeared.
"Come, then, let us proceed gracefully!" cried Zhang He. The men looked uncertainly at each other, then let up a hesitant cheer. Junyi gave certain orders to his men, who gagged their mouths and wrapped their weapon tips in cloth. They then quietly exited the camp to the north, making sure to make no sound that would betray their position.
Junyi considered informing Yuan Shao of his actions, but a plan as beautiful as this required speed. The attack came from the northeast; surely the attackers would never expect to be attacked themselves. Junyi intended to lead his company toward the enemy's main force and launch a quick raid to confuse the attackers. While the infantry hid in ambush at the edge of the forest and made a great clamor, the archers would let fly with a volley or two. If they were counterattacked, the spearmen would leap out and surprise the would-be attackers, but Junyi doubted that the enemy would dare venture out to meet an unknown force in the dark, especially if they sounded as large as he intended them to sound. However, if they did, Junyi hopd the commander was among them. His head would make a beautiful trophy.
(Posted entire plan for the benefit of the BM. I don't expect it to be completed this turn.)

Lu Zhi was startled when he heard the sound of screams from the shoulders and emerged from the Command Tent to find tents ablaze. Hurriedly he send off a guard to summon all 100 of the veteran troops he brough which was made up of 50 Veteran Horse with Swords and shields, 25 veteran Twin Maces and 25 Veteren Halberdiers.
Quickly he mounted his horse and was prepared to march until the Dagoth general spoke to him. Lu Zhi listened with the utmost attention and took in every word he said. He gave a nod to show that he understood everything the man had said and hurriedly went of in search of the commander who he eventually found.
"Grand Commander, you cannot stay here it is not safe enough. Quickly Commander a plan has been set in place. The other generals are providing a distractiong by attacking the soldiers head on to buy us time. Let us make for the mountains we're we can regroup our forces. I know that at a time like this you will want to stay and fight but that is not a good move my Commander. If you die that puts an end to this entire operation and putting an end to Dongzhuo's Tyranny you must Live so the hopes of those of us who are fighting this are not hopeing and fighting in vain. To remain here is asking for you to be killed.
We can flee to the mountains in the west by cutting through the forest and plains to there. Preperations are made to secure our escape. Once we arrive there we can rally our forces together and strike back against the enemy. You must do this, for the sake of The Emperor and Empress He you just come with me, with as many troops as you can muster as possible to the west. Do not let the mens sacrifices be in vain! Please i beg of you, this entire main camp is burning down as we speak we cannot fight here as there is nothing to be gained."
Lu Zhi waited desperately and anxiously for He Jins reply. Should He Jin agree the two units will head off and exit the camp to the west and through the forest and plains to get to the mountains.
If He jin wouldn't not agree however Lu Zhi would remain there and continue to try and persaude He Jin to move and set his men in a defensive formation encircling both him and He Jin to protect them.

"As long as I know where to find you, comrade. I will gather my troops and meet you there as soon as possible. Zei Fang and I will move towards your position as soon as possible. Until then, friend." Zhou Tai said as he sped off towards the east, where his troops were. He kept his sword unsheathed, but ducked his body low as he weaved in and out of groups of soldiers. It took him about three minutes going full speed to meet up with Zei Fang, hwo had all the troops ready. "Men, here is the plan. Something will be going on in the West, a plan of sorts, so we need to act quickly. While they flank the Western Front, I believe it would be useful for us to attack with the rest of the troops heading up a western path towards the flank of the enemy.. That way they will be caught in total disarray." Zhou Tai said, more to Zei Fang then anyone. The troops all agreed, for they trusted Zhou Tai with their lives. He had been their commander for longer then they could remember... and they would go to the ends of the earth if he so wished.
"Now men... there is a path towards the west that will allow us to swoop around behind them, and fellow troops are already heading on it. We need to swiftly meet them there."
The men scattered in groups of three, heading through the main camp. This way, it would not be as obvious as a formation of 100, and if they were in three, they would at least have a little support if they got into a skirmish with militiamen, which none of them did. Once on the western side of the Main Camp, they slunk through the forest towards the western path the cloaked man spoke of.. Zhou Tai, Zei Fang, and 100 *Twin Blades* head west to ambush enemy troops in coordination with the plan![/i]

It's A Raid
ZHnag Ren and Liu Pi had been sitting watching the argument between He Jin and Yuan Shao for sometime, not wanting to get much closer. Zhang Ren had just considered leaving the allies when fire arrows started raining down on the camp. Ren spoke a few words to Liu Pi before the other went running off to the west.
Zhang Ren tightened his armor, drew his blade and went to join the others in the battle.

He Jin did not expect his sleep to be disrupted by the screams and cries of allied soldiers inside the main camp. Had Yuan Shao and the beautiful woman he was with mutiny against him? Were they attacking their own comrades? The Commander was sitting up in his bed, listening momentarily to try and make out what the commotion was as well as shaking off the nightmare he was having. Even worse than a nightmare, was the truth, which came in the form of his general Zhu Jun announcing the presence of Dong Zhuo’s army on the allied side of the river. “What!?” Jin exclaimed, getting up quickly to adorn his armor and grab his weapon. His men were dying, but he was yet to see any of the true devastation that lay in wait outside his tent. Beyond the canvas flap door was something no leader wished to behold. Zhou Tai had also moved toward the main tent as well as Lu Zhi. It seemed the two were worried for the safety of the Grand Commander, as was the dark warrior who more or less was just working out a plan to kill many an enemy. He Jin exited the main tent and looked around in horror. His camp was on fire and soldiers were running around panicked. Either that or they were lying on the ground already dead. “Zhu Jun, your request is granted! Take the soldiers you require and strike back against these cowards!” All around the campfire and main tent the massive army of the allies gathered, awaiting the word of their leader. Any who felt it was unsafe inside the camp, which was beginning to burn rapidly, could exit through the other two gates not in range of enemy soldiers. “To arms men!” He Jin yelled to his soldiers and the allied officers. It seemed some of the officers were moving to the west with some sort of plan. It made He Jin proud to see them acting on their own, but also sad that people still questioned his ability to lead. An army should fight together, as one mighty being. “Any who are slightly wounded, or too frightened to engage, make haste for the river and gather water to fight this fire!”He Jin withdrew his sword, showing that he was not afraid. His veteran army did the same and yelled out a mighty war cry. Their morale would affect that of the lesser militia and ruffians though more than likely they were hiding behind the camp barricade. At least He Jin had Zhu Jun leading the other group of lesser soldiers so to be the guiding light to their lost souls in such a dire situation. It seemed Lu Zhi was as loyal, if not more so, than both Huangfu Song and Zhu Jun. That made He Jin appreciative, but it was no time to fall back from the fight when many brave soldiers were willing to stand and fight! Though the plan was to make sure He Jin was safe, the truth was he was more safe with his 1000 veterans and the skilled officers who fought alongside him. “Now, sally forth and strike the enemy in the name of the Han!” he yelled waving his sword forward to the north. Immediately after he had given the orders, veteran soldiers made for the north and east gates to give battle. The gates flung open, if not already and the skirmish would begin! Unfortunately for the allies, the enemy had the advantage of another uncontested attack. He Jin and his Veterans are moving to exit the camp and attack the enemy!!****************************** Troops: ::Main Army::He Jin 1000 Veteran Swords with Shields 500 Ruffian Med Spears 500 Militia Halberds ::2nd in Command::Zhu Jun 500 Ruffian Med Spears 500 Militia Halberds

The main camp was ablaze as Xu Shu and his men marched through, some of the soldiers were wary, but Shu reminded them of the minor danger posed by the fires so long as they followed in orderly rows, and instead reminded them of the bigger danger of more arrows, giving them orders to raise their shields should they see them or Shu calls out for it to be done.
His troops were dismissed to help return the water to the main camp, meeting He Jin's men half way and bringing the water back to put the flames out, it meant the job would be done in twice the time. Meanwhile Shu looked around, catching site of the famed He Jin, and deciding to introduce himself in the small window of opportunity Shu had before the general followed his troops out of the camp to engage the enemy forces.
He walked rather than went by horse, it was a psychological factor to make He Jin feel more at ease, make him able to hear out the strategist rather than feel outmatched and possibly dismiss him. He bowed first and foremost, a sign of respect and allegiance before speaking in a respectful manner, calm, collected and above all sounding knowledgable.
"Lord He Jin, it is a true honour to at least meet your noble self. I have sent my 100 men I bring with me in aid of your forces to help put out these fires of the enemy."
He looked behind as his men begun to stop the fire spreading, knowing the first areas hit were all but gone now, the remaining areas were wet with water, meaning another fire attack and the spreading flames would find it much harder to damage the camp anymore.
"I am Xu Shu of Yingchaun. I hope my presence can only aid in your efforts of repelling the enemy."
Xu Shu was a name a few people spoke of, but not as often as say Zhuge Liang, Li Ru or Guo Jia, however it should put He Jin at ease that a person who studied alongside the famous Sleeping Dragon and Fledging Pheonix should be at the battle, surely with a well planned strategy the enemy would falter? However Xu Shu had arrived too late to plan proceedings, so he would be forced to remain as support rather than first strike.
"I must apologise for my late arrival, but I shall attempt to make up for it however you see fit."
He was offering his services to He Jin, perhaps Shu could be the Guo Jia to his Cao Cao, the Tian Feng to his Yuan Shao, even the Zhou Yu to his Sun Ce. Who knew how the Han general would react... [/size]

Flames roared in the formerly hushed night sky, and the silence that once comforted the allied camp was now torn asunder by the screams of soldiers, crying out from their pierced flesh. The site could be seen from a good distance, illuminating the night sky, and the targets within the camp. It would seem several eyes were witnessing the carnage; while the Gods above needed not the aid of fire to observe the bloodshed, the mortal spectators would use it to their full advantage. Thundering footsteps became the new sound of this chaotic war, as hundreds of soldiers began to mobilise in full force. As the gates flew open on both the north and the east, Dong Zhuo’s men were prepared to strike once more. Seeing the first of the soldiers storm out, including the likes of Zhang Fei and Lu Meng, Zhuo’s forces knew they were in the presence of great men. Their duty and their task however would not yet be faulted. “So the enemy finally storm out of their little tents! Fire again!” roared Dong Zhuo’s general, Dong Min, who swung his sword through the air violently, letting out a laugh as the fires began to grow. The Archers facing the north and east gates prepared their next assault. Formed in 5 lines of 50 on each side, the front line of archers fell to their knees, bows strung, and launched their first wave; the second line would fire simultaneously, then proceed to fall to their knees, giving way for the third line. This continued until each line let their arrows skitter through their air, hoping to strike any enemy that sally forth. The wild charge of Zhang Fei in particular was met by a hail of arrows at his rampaging cavalry. Many others went unnoticed in their tasks however, yet Lu Meng was not one of them. 100 twin axe men rushed out of the main formation to meet with their assault, charging without fear or hesitation into their small pack. “Prepare the rest of the infantry! He Jin isn’t stupid enough to sit around in that camp all night!” It was then that the rest of Dong’s men began to rush towards the gates, spearmen in front, and macemen and their flanks. They were split equally between each gate, and formed up in front of the archers, who began to pace backwards following their volley. Min himself galloped towards the eastern gate, commanding his men from here, and watching the carnage ensue with a wicked grin.

When Zhou Tai heard the clamor of weapons, he stopped his troops. They were about 100 meters away from the West gate of the Main Camp. He Jin had not retreated, which meant...
They are attacking them. TO hell with sneak attacks.
"Troops, back to the Main Camp! We will show the enemy swine what it's like to fight against Zhou Tai!" He roared as he rode back towards the main camp. He was met with roars of excitement from his troops, who prefered combat to flanking any day. Zei Fang smirked and sheathed his sword, drawing his long, powerful spear. Spurring his horse on, he and his troops Rode through the main camp. When they reached the eastern gate, they heard Zhou Tai call out to Dong Min.
"Dong Min! I am calling you out, you miserable swine. Come out, little, kitten. Come face tigers!" he roared at Dong Min, who was approaching fast on his own horse. Zhou Tai slowly drew his sword, enjoying the metal on metal sound the sheath provided. His own troops, knowing what was about to happen, looked to Zei Fang for orders.
Zei Fang smirked. "You need not worry about Master Tai. He knows that he is a better warrior then Dong Min could ever hope to be. However... Go and fight freely with He Jin's troops. You are all better warriors then even the lame generals that Dong Zhuo provides his troops. I will join you all shortly. When you hear the battle cry, head back in this direction." Zei Fang said as he held his spear firmly in his left hand. This was about to get interesting.
His own troops ran towards He Jin's own, and they followed their allied troops into battle.
Zhou Tai has challenged Dong Min to a dual! Zhou tai's troops have entered battle alongside He Jin's troops![/i]

At the head of his men, Zhang He arrived in position for his ambush only just as Dong Min's men began to mobilize. A shame...he thought, I was hoping to catch them napping. Faced with no other choice, Junyi gave the silent signel for his men to ready themselves. The spearmen knelt as the bowmen readied their weapons. Closer...closer...now! Junyi dropped his hand, prompting the archers to fire while the spearmen banged their weapons against their shields and let up a roar. In the darkness, the advancing army wouldn't know how many assailants there were; hopefully they would halt and reassess their position. Unfortunately, as soon as they reached Junyi's men, they'd realize just how few of them there were, so no sooner had the attack begun, Junyi bade his men follow him as they moved south of their current position. He hd spotted an officer riding at the head of a troop in that direction. With any luck, Junyi could attack him from the rear and, if not slay him himself, then distract him long enough for the allies to mount an attack. As he neared Dong Min's troops, he called out to the enemy before him.
"You poor, ugly fools, rejoice! I, Zhang He of He Jian, shall grant you a beautiful death!" He pointed a clawed hand at the leader, "You I shall give an especially beautiful demise. Have at you!" Knowing once again that he was hopelessly outnumbered, Zhang He relied on surprise and bravado to carry the day here.
Zhang He ambushes the center of Dong Min's infantry, then pursues the force headed toward the east gate. Is he brave or crazy? More at 11!
