"Look at them, the insects have arrived!" The Qiang King abused the allies while upon the walls of Chang An. The soldiers were being rallied for another battle but this time on the defensive. They had been pushed back at Qing Ni, but that was not of any importance to the king and was shown by his withdrawal halfway through the fight. Had he stayed to pushed the attack, the Horde may have found victory. "Archers!!" he yelled, ordering his men to prepare a volley if the allies got close. Orders were also given to attack the Golden Horde on sight as they were now enemies. ************************** "That traitorous fool!" Yan Xing said, gripping his spear tight hoping he would get the chance to strike out against the Qiang. Currently, the Horde was camped out near the river and forest. The Qiang had sealed the gates, securing their terms of war against Ma Chao and attacked his men as well when they approached the city. Han Sui had stated his opinion about what was to be done, but Mengqi ignored him. Strategical retreat, thought it made sense, was not an option now. Qing Ni was one thing, but the Horde was supposed to have control of Chang An and a strong defensive position. The army, in their current state and location were screwed. ************************** A large cloud of dust could be seen approaching from the northwest. The soldiers along the wall knew reinforcements were on the way so morale began to rise. Groups of infantry were headed toward the city with Tiny's cousin and another officer. "Do not be hasty and try to seek revenge right away! There is plenty of time, plus we can torture them if caught!" the Qiang Minister said to his bulky comrade. The two were leading a small contingent of cavalry at the head of the army. the only response from the other Qiang officer was a grunt. ************************** The allied camp was being set up but all along the gathering armies were being watched. Troops were stationed inside the forest by the Qiang King and they were one of the two groups to attack the Golden Horde when they arrived. Ma Chao had sent soldiers in, as Sun Liao was about to do, but it was to no avail. The Qiang enemy disappeared in the darkness of the forest. "Shhhh, here they come." The allies were going to be forced into combat before they were ready. Sun Liao's concern for creating ladders would lead his men to their doom. He did order scouts to move out, but it mattered little as Qiang horsebows were amongst the tree line. "Now!!!" The twang of 200 bows rang out across the open field as the ambushers let fly their arrows. Sun Liao's men were dropping like apples from a tree as the projectiles were ripping through his soldiers! "Ready another attack, then we fall back!" a Qiang captain yelled, ordering his ambush troops to move back into the safety of the forest. ************************** "Move into the forest, we need ladders" Mengqi said, ordering off some troops with Han Sui to complete the task. They needed a way into the city to seek revenge against the Qiang. If the allies opened a way for them it could serve as another entry point. The unit moved out, consisting of 100 Militia Axe and 100 Militia spears. They made haste as word of the allied approach was spreading. Not only that, a rider from the river was moving quickly toward Ma Chao's position and he had news of enemy reinforcements approaching from the northwest. ************************** Updates.........
- The Qiang King prepares his men for battle!

Let's Go! The sound of metal clanging against metal and feeting pounding against the ground echoed across the field as the Guardians of Glory along with Wei Yan himself, at the head of the army, charged across it. They made a direct line for the lines of the Golden Horde. Some would have called them reckless, those some would have been correct. Wei Yan had the old passion in his eyes that he'd had the moment he'd seen Lu Rai die. The air felt like fire in his lungs, for he could nearly see the gate where Lu Rai had fallen. In the distance he could picture the snickering face of the child that was Ma Chao. It sent a stinging pain into his heart that wouldn't be quelled without blood. This whole battle of Chang An had been a one-in-a-million chance for Glory's victory. Now that didn't matter. The Guardians of Glory had finally figured that out. With their unknown morale booster and their lord they'd finally come to realize that they had only one sole purpose now, to destory the Golden Horde. Hundreds of men had turned in their old weapons and clothes for those of Glory's Guardians. That's all Wei Yan had brought, that's all he would need. The head of the Qiang Champion was a subtle victory that was only personal. It's affect on enemy morale wouldn't matter, nor would it's affect on allied morale. The warrior wanted only the sight of Ma Chao before him, in a pool of his own blood. The spear in his hands grew light as a feather as his adrenaline spiked. His muscles expanded and his mind raced for the voice. He wanted it there, to comfort him, to control him, but it was silent. Rai, are you truly gone, thought the warrior as he scanned the approaching lines of the Golden Horde for Ma Chao. Any other battle, Wei Yan would have rallied his men with a uplifting speech followed by a mighty roar, for this battle, he had only recovered the head of Lu Rai and brought it before them. It was enough to make them all thirst for revenge. They were a mass of anguish and rage. At their spear head was Wei Yan, the embodiment of Vengeance. Who could stop the war-hulk that were the Guardians of Glory? Even the heaven's took a moment to shutter at their might as they charged the lines of the Golden Horde. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Glory has taken the field and completely forgot about the rest of the world, only focusing on killing the Golden Horde. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Glory's Guardians:200 Spear and Shield Elites 200 Spear and Shield Veterans

Chang An, one of the old capitals from the days of yesteryear, loomed over the horizon. Even now it remained a flourishing trade city, sitting firmly on major roads that bridged the East and West. The site of the Tomb of the First Emperor, it served a triple role as a powerful economic, political and cultural center for China.
To see it swarming with men of such ill intent saddened Jiang Wei; at least Wei Yan had been a man concerned with governing the city. The horsemen, the mongrels from outside of the civilized world; they saw Chang An as simply another conquest, another prize to plunder. They would enrich themselves upon the toil of honest, dignified people and turn the streets into rivers and torrents of blood as they made a mockery of all that had been built.
Thus far, Shu had avoided taking sides in the conflict between Ma Chao and the feudal lords. It was not a popular decision, it was the right decision. Now, however, the Qiang had gone too far and it was time for those that wished to support the people to step forward and make good their claims. This battle was not about any one lord, it was about those that every lord was sworn to protect.
”I hope we will be there in time.”
It was a sentiment that Jiang Wei shared to be sure, but the unabashed anger smoldering in the voice of his Spear Captain was hard to miss.
“Eager to get into the fray Captain?”
It was a rhetorical question: Jiang Wei knew that the older man had family in Chang An. For his part, the fellow nodded and fixed Jiang Wei with a stare that blended fire and pain together in a most uncomfortable manner.
“Eager lay my life down to make those bastards pay for what has happened here… my lord.”
It was hard not to feel a bit of sympathy for him, for the family that he might no longer have. But Jiang Wei could not afford to lose him to revenge: such a path would only lead to self-destruction.
“Captain, our purpose here is to liberate Chang An from the Qiang. While death in the service of Shu is a noble sacrifice indeed, our commitment remains to the living, not the dead, do you understand me?”
The Captain was silent for a long moment and then nodded as his features softened, returning his eyes to the front. Above all other things, he was a good and loyal soldier, he would do his duty.
“I expect that from all of you today. We are here to fight the Qiang and preserve Chang An. Neither Ma Chao nor the Coalition is our enemy, though should either group decide to bring battle to us, we must act in our own defense.”
With luck though, they will be content with allowing us to put our lives on the line…
The city of Chang An loomed ahead and already the sounds of battle were beginning in the distance. Even so far away, the city was breathtaking, a monument to the splendor of the Han. It would be a true honor to fight in the defense of such a place, but then just as they were not there to seek death, neither were they there to chase honor.
Duty above all else was the order of the day.

Zhou Tai had no steed for this battle, as his horse seemed to have… disappeared after the last battle at Qing Ni Pass. His face was twisted in anger, and his eyes were red from the crying he had done earlier. He simply stalked forward, both swords in their sheaths. However, if you looked closer, you would notice that the sword he held on his left side was his regular katana, but the one on the right… it was the sword of Zei Fang, his apprentice who had fallen in the line of duty (he was oblivious to his apprentice’s suicide for being an epic failure in the battle.) He would do his lord honor by liberating men of China from Qiang. H would liberate Chang An from the men that killed Zei Fang.
“Men.” Zhou Tai said without breaking stride, “We march today to liberate Chang An. We will rid Chang an of the men that killed Zei Fang… he was a friend to all of you, and a brother to me. We ride today not only for Wu. Not only for Sun Jian… but for Zei Fang. We will honor his name this night.”
He continued to stalk forward, and as he exited the trees, he could see Chang An in the distance and so could his men. He was followed by 200 Elite Twin Swords, and 200 Veteran Mace and Shields. The spears were in front of the Twin Swords. With every other step they took, the macemen slammed their mace into their shield. The Twin Sword filled in the gaps the macemen left with a cry of war.
Doom…WAR…doom…WAR…doom…War…
Zei Fang could see the banner of Glory up ahead. He began to march faster, until his ranks were in line with those of Glory. He was not right next to Wei Yan and his guardians, but if Wei Yan looked, he would see that Zhou Tai held almost as much anger inside as he did. Zhou Tai put his left hand on the sword on his left hip, and his right hand on the sword on his right hip. He wrenched them out of their sheaths, and held them with the blades behind him. Zhou Tai was thirsty, and he was determined to quench his thirst with the blood of his enemies.
Doom…WAR!…Doom…WAR!…Doom…WAR!...Doom…WAR!
May the heavens pity the man who got in his way.
Zhou Tai and the Tigers of Wu have taken the field and are ready beyond measure! I pity the fool who tries to stop 'em!

ooc: I know I did nothing in the other battle, not like you missed me though But I can be active for this one.... I hope "So the Qiang have locked Ma Chao out? So this has basically become a three way, I wonder who Mengde would go after first."Other units already began the rally for war, and all men under them shouting war chants and preping for the fight of there lives, certianly the kingdom operating under the name of Glory would have to debt of gratitude to pay to just about all other forces on the planet for bailing them out in there time of greatest need. "Yu Jin, take the calvary and wait behind us and the main unit untill the first faction strikes, we'll stay out of action. Basically just stay awau from the city for now and wait for 'the golden horde' to go after someone."He was almost sure the overly agressive Mengqi would make the first move, and since the allies were more then likely soon to be the bigest force they could just throw there weight around here, unless of corse Mengqi was smart enough to plan for reinforcements, or the savages could've provided the brains for this outfit... who knows. "Fall back! Move!" The Qiang Captain smirked after his ambush against Sun Liao's scouts and quickly ordered his men to retreat into the forest. There, in the darkness of the forest, they would find safety until the next time to strike. The soldiers were aware of the Golden Horde's presence, near the river, but they dared not go that way. Word was that Ma Chao was on a hunt for Qiang heads and revenge with him was something taken deadly serious. Whether or not Sun Liao would send more men to attack the Qiang inside the forest was unknown, but it seemed more soldiers were moving out regardless of the presence of enemy troops. Wei Yan and his army of 400 strong were racing out from the allied camp, going on the offensive. It may have not been the best decision, being outnumbered easily by the Horde alone, but Yan was not a man known for his caution. He was a warrior, a berserker, and actions were always his words. ************************** "My king! The allies are approaching from the south!" a soldier yelled, pointing to a distant unit moving along the tree line. The Qiang King smiled and raised his hand to the sky. Any allied units heading toward the city would be at the mercy of his archers. If not, they would have to go around to the west where Qiang reinforcements were arriving or into the forest where many an enemy could be laying in wait. The defenders usually always had the advantage in war. Defensive structures, fresh soldiers, height advantage, trap placement, and the first opening attack were many of the positives in the Qiang's favor. Had the allies moved their siege equipment up first and started to open up on the city it would have offered them the first attack. Still, the allies were in troulbe and normally a sieging army should be 3 times the size of the defending army to have a good chance. The allies, though lacking in troop numbers, seemed to make up for it with skilled leaders and officers. "Loose!" The King ordered a volley into Wei Yan's soldiers as they moved around the forest and headed toward the Golden Horde lines. After the attack, the Qiang leader actually took a second look in confusion as to why Yan would be barreling toward Ma Chao. Hell, the King was a great fighter but not even he would move straight up against the Horde leader in his current state. Mengqi had lost his lady, most of his pride, more than half his army, the city of Chang An, and word had arrived with his messenger from the north that more barbarian scum were spotted around Xi Liang. If there was any time in Ma Chao's life that he could consider the best, then this would be the worse. The anger he felt could only be akin to half that of Wei Yan, but still it was enough to start an inferno of hatred and death in the young lord's gut. He had been betrayed and now his once glorious army stood on the edge, teetering on the brink of defeat. ************************** In the northwest, reinforcements arrived in the name of the Qiang! A high ranking Minister and another powerful warrior appeared with well over 2000 soldiers! "Now, move toward the city to embrace your new home!" the Minister yelled, having been ordered to Chang An as part of a series of moves bringing the Qiang further into China. They were going to use Chang An as their new capital and after annihilating the enemies would move out to gain more land. "What the?" The Qiang Minister squinted while looking into the distance as the army under his command cheered and chanted songs of their King. Green banners could be seen, fluttering in the morning breeze, and instantly the official new the enemy had arrived sooner than expected. He did not remember hearing of any Shu involvement in the war nor did he know much of Shu to begin with. What he did know was that any banners other than that of the Qiang were going to get ripped and burned! Biggy was ordered to move immediately toward Jiang Wei's position with 200 Militia Twin Swords, 200 Veteran Hammers, and 200 Militia Archers. That was only a small group from the large army of reinforcements and should be enough, the Minister thought, to erase Shu from the battefield as if they never arrived to begin with. If anything, it worked to the Qiang advantage as they did not want a united China standing against them. The more the feudal lords fought, the more divided the coutry would stay. "Move out!" Biggy yelled to his task force. He was seated upon a glorious northwestern steed with armor that could have been worn by the king himself. Well, if the King was around 5 foot tall. Also known as Pwn Master Flash, Biggy was no joke and was the cousin of Tiny. It was said that Tiny was the true Qiang Champion but that even he backed out of fighting his cousin. Truly, Biggy could have been the Qiang Champion but just like the Carnival there were height lines to be able to ride and partake! He just fell short of the restrictions, so he went into seclusion to train and become the best warrior around. Biggy may be small........... but he was a ravenous wolverine in combat! Missile troops were to the front followed by swords then hammers and they moved southward to engage the enemy, if Jiang Wei had the sack to fight. ************************** Ma Chao was located close to the river, looking out across the water, as Yan Xing approached on horseback. The once gleaming dragon armor of Xing's lord was dulled by scratches and blood, similar to his once bright shining pride which was also dwindling. Both men gripped powerful spears of the Horde and would use them here, now, to finish it. Chao was deep in thought and Yan Xing knew what it was about. "He has come, Mengqi" the Horde second in command stated, looking to his right briefly to notice Chao not even acknowledge. They looked out across the flowing river together, but could only enjoy the momentary peace as Wei Yan and his crazed Guardians were approaching. The Horde army could hold them off, of that there was no doubt, as Mengqi's own elites outnumbered Yan's by more than 2 to 1. However, the young lord knew what the leader of Glory wanted. "If you were slain and disgraced in such a manner, i would do the same thing Xing."Ma Chao was speaking of the dastardly acts of the Qiang and what they had done to Lu Rai's corpse. Not only did the Champion use the former great's head as a tool of war, against Wei Yan, but they also had his body upon a pike outside the city. The Horde had noticed on the way by, but either way it was not their issue. Whether or not Wei Yan was out for vengeance against the Qiang or Horde, he would never defeat the Dragon of Xi Liang. Yan Xing nodded to his lord's statement and bowed in thanks. He was always more cautious, as a person and officer, so more than likely Xing would not have acted like Chao or Yan. However, he wondered if Rai would have. Was he similar to the fallen comrade of Wei Yan in some way? It mattered not, the maniac was on his way to crash their party and the kegs were not even tapped yet. Between the Qiang and the Guardians, Ma Chao was getting really pissed. "I will slay that animal soon enough. Xing, buy me some time to get these ladders prepared" he said, ordering his second to take command of the force while he moved with some cavalry to aid the task group already working. They had put a few ladders together, but the army needed more if their siege was going to be effective. Yan Xing immediately called off some elites of the dragon cavalry kind and also some infantry units. They would move to engage Wei Yan and his soldiers, offering time for Ma Chao to scale the walls and engage the Qiang. It was now a three way battle, but it seemed more people were out for the Qiang King's head than that of Mengqi. "Wei Yan, what is the meaning of this nonsense!? Die like a man, not like a charging, mindless beast!" Yan Xing did not want to slay his enemy with arrows, as the preferable way for a warrior to go was by the blade, but he would protect Ma Chao at all cost. Dragon horsebow elites were with him, 200 strong, and also 200 militia spear/shield soldiers. Behind them, waiting for the order to loose, were around 600 archers; 400 ruffian and 200 militia. It would rain hell from above should Yan Xing see fit to end Wei Yan's life. However, the honorable warrior would not do that. "Archers, hold for my signal! Spears, form up and prepare for combat! Elites, send them a warning!" Arrows were sent flying from the Horde van and some hit the ground ahead while others ripping into Yan's lines. If the elites wanted to they could have pinned a bug to one of his men's faces, but they were ordered to go light for now. ************************** Updates.........

Zhou Tai, who was in a state of pure, unbridled rage, was torn. He was torn between two loyalties, both of which were completely different scenarios. He had promised Wei Yan his assistance and the army of Wu in his conflict with the Golden Horde. Yet... it was a Qiang sword that felled his apprentice, Zei Fang. Attack the Qiang in the name of Zei Fang, or honor his agreement with Wei Yan...? Should he assist Wei Yan, he would be ignoring his duty to Zei Fang, his fellow general... and his brother. However, honoring Zei Fang's name in combat would mean ignoring his duty to Wei Yan... however, the Golden Horde were still in line with Qiang. They still found a common enemy in the allies...
Zhou Tai had no idea what to do.
"...Wei Yan, if you need my assistance, roar for me. I have something I must do." he said to Wei Yan from his position. Then, as he saw the Qiang reinforcements enter the fray, headed by someone in some nice lookin' armor, he made up his mind. He stalked forward, both blades in hand. The veins on his neck were visible now, and he could hardly control himself. His troops followed, and they continued to beat on their shields, creating a truly bad-ass sounding battle-cry. Each maceman was paired with a twinswordsman, so shoudl a voley come at them, the twin swordsman would duck under a shield with a maceman. As he approached the Qiang reinforcements, he was still stalking forward. He had no banners flying, no huzzahs. Just a simple beat of a horribly loud, ominous DOOM followed by a cry for War.
He began to breath heavily through his nose, like a bull whose world just turned completely red. As he roared, he looked just like a Grizzly bear.
"QIAAAAAAAAANG!" He called as he gripped his swords so hard they started to hurt.
He closed his eyes, and this time, his face turned visibly red.
"QIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!"
As he opened his eyes to speak again, he looked like the personification of Hell.
"QIANG! SEND ME A CHALLENGER! SEND ME SOMEONE WORTHY OF THIS TIGER! SEND ME... YOUR CHAMPION!"
He was standing there now, his face contorted in fury and rage. His head was thrown sloghtly forward, and his shoulders were thrown back. He was at the head of his small army right now, and the fact that the Qiang outnumbered his greatly didn't matter. His cause was valiant. His cause was honorable.
His cause was the death of every God forsaken Qiang soldier who crossed his path.
Zhou Tai has challenged the might of Qiang!
He has told Wei Yan that if Wei yan needs assistance, he just has to holla'!
His positioning is slightly infront of the city, more towards the northwestern corner. He's in a position that, with the volume of his voice, everyone will hear him.[/b]
((O.O.C. me charging forward might have resulted in epic casualties, but... Zhou Tai's got bigger fish to fuck up.))

"Glory and Honor are not our objectives men. Understand that."
Guan rode behind his horsemen. It was odd for him for usually he takes the head. This time however they requested that he ride between the horsemen and the infantry. He took in the consideration of his unit and obliged. The formation of the horsemen was a pyramid, the point of it towards Guan. He sighed as he carried Green Dragon to his side and with the reigns of his steed, Red Hare, in his left hand.
"Men. We are to reinforce Jiang Wei. Our goal is to deliver Chang An back to Glory. The Qiang are to be ran out of the city."
The men of Shu roared in reply to their General. The men's respect for Guan had risen, if possible, since he had liberated Yun Nan and formed a friendship with the nanman civilization to the south of Yun Nan. The word of his liberating Yun Nan may have spread to the north already but it didn't matter... for now he had found what he was on this field of Chang An for. I apologise Wei Yan. I will not be able to speak with you in this battle, but... I will be able to deliver Chang An to you. He thought to himself as his forces slowly came upon Jiang Wei's, still at the patient pace.
With his horsemen ahead of him and his infantry to his sides and behind him, Guan mentally prepared himself for the Qiang encounter as did his men, noticing the banners of the Qiang moving towards Jiang Wei's men.
Guan Yu has arrived from Cheng Du to reinforce Jiang Wei's troops.

Hatebreed!! "Elites! Shields to the city! The rest of you! Shields to the Horde!" commanded Wei Yan as the rain of arrows came hard from the city and few and far between from the horde. There was no doubt the Horde had the more accurate archers, but with the lines of Glory coming to a complete stop and making a wall whatever adjustment both sides made to lead the moving warhulk would be futile. Shields clanged into place all around and the few arrows that actually did come within range of the Guardians were caught with the shields are batted aside. They had gotten more percise in their fury, it was the adrenaline taking hold. Even Wei Yan was seen sky rocketing over one of his Guardians and splitting an arrow in half with his spear. With a roar the warrior landed and the charge was on again, but the words of Yan Xing reached the warrior's ears. "Wei Yan, what is the meaning of this nonsense!? Die like a man, not like a charging, mindless beast!"It was like an echo into a memory. For a moment the warrior wanted to roar back. He wanted to challenge the man's belief on honor, but a flashback caught hold of him that rocked his whole ideal on the warrior. ~~~~~~~~ Flashback..."Yan, can you feel that in the air? Something about China just seems different." whispered Lu Rai as he layed in his bunk at the academy, Wei Yan in the bunk to his left. The large warrior just shrugged and rolled onto his side trying to forget the thought. Rai just sighed a bit. "I know you're not asleep. Yan, seriously, can you feel that? War is coming." again Rai was whispering over to the warrior. Wei Yan just snarled and rolled his shoulders bringing his small sheet up over his head. He hated thinking of such things that could bring his whole world crashing down around his feet. Lu Rai just sighed again and nodded in defeat. For a moment all was silent, but then Rai broke the silent for the final time. "Yan, just remember... When you choose to do battle and if you fall, you'll always have a second chance at your enemy. I'll make sure they find their own way to the heaven's." stated Lu Rai protectively as he patted his shield lightly, the one against the wall beside his bunk. ~~~~~~~~ Reality...Chao... Maybe we are alike? thought the warrior, but he violently shook the thought from his head as he pressed on. His fury would have saved Ma Chao this time. As the lordling moved out to help retrieve wood, Wei Yan completely missed him, a new focus on his mind for a moment. "Guardians, let us bring the lordling to our agony! Yan Xing is our target. The man who brings me his head shall bring a bit more peace to Lu Rai's grave." With that, the bounty was on for Yan Xing. The warrior had roared the command loud enough the lines of the Golden Horde could hear, hell he'd hoped they would hear. Some of the Guardians weren't exactly thrilled with the idea, but the once that didn't like the idea knew that cutting off Ma Chao's main line of defense would force him into open combat. Somewhere in that midst of yellow, a lordling was waiting to be covered in read and draped with teal. Every Guardian wanted to find him and relish in that moment, but Wei Yan had a hundred different things in his person. His heart ached for Lu Rai, his soul burned for revenge, and his mind smirked at the thought of Yan Xing's head being brought to Ma Chao. There was something about losing a friend that would make a man lose himself in the hate. It was like losing a child. You had three options: hate, hurt, or forgive and forget. Wei Yan couldn't decide on which to do: hate or hurt? He would never forget, and forgetting seemed just as gone. A snarl crepted over the warrior's face as the words of the Zhou Tai etched into his thoughts. Another friend he'd have to thank. But that ally brought another thought to his mind. Sun Liao? Are you here...? thought the warrior as he ordered the continued charge of his Guardians. The moment the final arrow had fallen, the war-hulk was on the move again. "Glory!?" roared the warrior, and his Guardians gave the answer. "Hoo-Rah!"It was becoming a quicker reality that the lines of Glory would clash with the lines of Yan Xing and the horses of Glory. Wei Yan prepared to spring up. First horseman that came within range he'd launch himself up and dehorse the man with a spear through the chest. The lot of them were without a passion that the whole of Glory held. They'd tremble before the might of the warriors. With every thrust of the spear, they roared. With every killed the boomed together. It was an uncanny synced way of war. Again the heaven's shuttered, partly feeling sorry for the warrior of Glory's bloodlust. He'd lost all reason and they feared for not only the Golden Horde but Wei Yan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wei Yan's Guardians took a defense against both onslaughts of arrows.
Afterwords continuing their charge.
Wei Yan didn't notice Ma Chao leaving for the trees. He's put out a bounty on Yan Xing's head for all who could hear.
Though, Yan's starting to question his hate for Ma Chao.

Sun turns to the battlefield, his men assaulted by barbarians from the forest. This will lead to many casualties that cannot be sustained at this point in the battle. Ma Chao himself makes his way into the forest to gather wood. The Qiang and Hordes purpose is unknown, but they cannot be in control of the forest with the allies so near.
"Men, prepare fires! This forest shall burn!"
If Sun could not get wood without losing so many men, then no one will get any wood, this battle will be purely of siege weapons, the catapults should be sufficient in destroying the walls, and if not then they could be purchased, but a forest under enemy control can do no good, even if you need the wood.
Sun's men that had scouted the forest have fallen back empty handed, they now begin to make fires with what would and oil they have, and the archers prepare to fire.
"If we cannot have this forest! Then no one shall! Archers fire!"
The archers let loose a volley of fire arrows into the forest and begin reloading and firing again, now shooting at will. The forest will burn like the horde and barbarians. Sun turns on his horse and points at the forest edge.
"If the enemy comes out of the forest, fire at will, let none survive! They have pushed my limit, I will show no mercy to these villains, for they would have shown none to us if the roles reversed."
Sun's men await the exit of enemy units and the archers continue raining fire onto the forest from a fair distance away. All the men with shields prepare for arrows.
*Summary* - Sorry, burning down the forest, stupid ambushes.... - Men ready to own the guys that flee out of the side I'm on

Blood Is The Price Of Glory
Ren had spent some time an Qi Ning tending to the wounded after the Horde retreated, so he wound up bing late for the battle to retake Chang An. Nevertheless he sped forth as fast as he could. At his back were four hundred swordsmen. The army made quick time. They were fueled by the adrenaline of battle, and the morale of victory.
As they reached Chang An Ren could see nothing of the Horde, but saw Qiang banners lining the city. From what he had heard the Qiang had back-stabbed the Horde, it was less than Chao deserved. He ordered his men to rush through the trees to the north. There they would build some siege ladders and surprise the Qiang by coming from the east upon their city.
His men ran fast and lightly through the forest. To make speed their shields were upon their backs, and swords in their sheaths. They made no secret of their approach, for Ren did not think that the Horde would be waiting for them there.
Liu Pi had been keeping pace with Ren, but suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. He looked up at the opening in the tree line canopy. The clouds looked ominous, and the mist surrounding them, only added to the feeling. "Old friend, I feel a sudden storm approaching." Zhang Ren gave him a quizzical look. "Not the weather, anyone could tell that a storm is brewing. But no, what I feel Ren, bodes badly for us. This storm foretells our doom."
"Well Pi. Let what may come, come. I am ready for it. Should my death await, then I hope it is glorious.," he walked up and patted his friend on the shoulder. "Hell, you should hope for the same." Pi just nodded his head. With out a word more, Ren drew his blade, followed by Pi, and the rest of the men did the same.
As army began to pass by the opening in the trees, a horde of crows flew over it. To be exact, there were four hundred and two of them. One for each of the mercenary troops...

Zhou Tai, Jiang Wei, and Guan Yu................Along the walls of the city, Wei Yan and Zhou Tai charged toward the Golden Horde lines. Luckily, for Yan Xing, Tai had decided to move against the Qiang reinforcements that had arrived with the sound of a war horn. Not only that, the soldiers atop the walls of Chang An yelled out in excitement, signalling the arrival of yet another champion of their homeland. Now, all that remained was the unit under Wei Yan. Arrows rained down against Zhou Tai and his men as they moved passed the corner of the city, but his men were prepared to counter by raising their shields. The attacks did minimal damage, but a few dead bodies trailing his quick moving unit were testament to ranged weaponry's deadly potency. To the west, where Shu officers had arrived, Biggy and the Qiang reinforcements were getting ready to engage. The large barbarian warrior had broken off from the Minister's unit, moving to take out Jiang Wei, but he was unaware the mighty Guan Yu would appear to aid. Just as the Green Beast's name had spread far into the southern uncontrolled lands of China, so it was in the north as well. Biggy raised his hand to halt the army when he saw the banners of Guan Yu and Shu arrive behind Jiang Wei, his intended target. His men shuttered in fear, but knew better as Biggy would tear them limb from limb if they showed any signs of cowering. "Guan Yu is here? This is the chance i have been waiting for" the big little man said, trying to see over the head of his steed into the distance. Just as the Qiang were about to let rip a volley into Jiang Wei's army, who most likely spotted the approaching barbarians, another allied officer arrived near the north. It seemed Zhou Tai had picked up some 'Speed Increase Boots' along the way, maybe even stopped to raise his musou bar to full? The point was the Bash Brother was there and ready to face hell at the hands of the Pwn Master. Surely, the Sun family bodyguard had no idea what he was getting himself into! Biggy looked perplexed and was not sure now who to engage. He wanted to kill them all, at once, but he was no Tiny with meat hook hands the size of catapult baskets; that which hold the boulders. The Minister, who was still approaching the city, immediately called off some aid for Biggy seeing Zhou Tai show up and make a weird ass entrance. Just who the hell did these allies think they were, Ma Chao? Pssh, they would have to be way cooler to reach that level. The rumble of 400 Militia Twin Swords, 100 Vet Hammers, and 100 Ruff Claymores could be heard as they were dispatched and made their way toward Zhou Tai. Then, 300 Militia Halberds were ordered off to bolster Biggy's lines who were up against Shu and now outnumbered. "Volley, you sniveling bags of snot!" Biggy called for an attack against Jiang Wei and Guan Yu, sending 200 arrows toward them. Wei would take the brunt of it, as he was to the front, but Guan Yu was there as well just behind his army. Immediately after the call for the ranged attack, the large warrior called over a Captain to take control for the fight against Shu. Zhou Tai would probably see the Minister's men headed his way, ready to end his miserable allied existence, but there was not doubt he would also sense the presence of someone else. "Ha! Zhou Tai, warrior with 200 scars! You now face Pwn Master Flash!" the Qiang elite yelled, reaching his hands to the heavens. It was not because he was rallying himself or anyone in particular, it was so Zhou Tai could see someone was there on the saddle. If not, it would look like the horse was ghost riding! The unit that Biggy had left, to take on Shu, was not entirely leaderless. They had a seasoned Captain controlling them, but in the distance was the Qiang Minister's remaining men who had stopped to offer aid if necessary. Engaging: Biggy, 400 Militia Twin Swords, 100 Vet Hammers, and 100 Ruff Claymores against Zhou Tai! 300 Militia Halberds, 200 Militia Twin Swords, 200 Veteran Hammers, and 200 Militia Archers against Guan Yu and Jiang Wei! *************************** Wei Yan, Zhang Ren, and Sun Liao................"Very well......" Yan Xing let his hand fall once more, signalling to his elites to drop the hammer on Wei Yan and his charging men. They did so, which great accuracy, but the Guardians of Glory were formidable foe and had great communication with cooperation. If they worked as one unit, one being, they could become a turtle for defense and a snake for offense. The problem was, in either case, a predator was located just ahead near the forest and would eat them up for dinner! The sound, or lack there of for that matter, during the initial charge of Glory was frightening. All was quiet as the raging soldiers under Wei Yan muscled forward after Yan Xing, maybe on a vendetta mission to even the score against Mengqi by taking out his second. It was true, Golden Horde soldiers had slain Lu Rai who was trying to protect fleeing civilians but it was the Qiang who utterly discraced him with their tactics. Was a warrior's brave death in the name of honor and the people so bad a thing to die for? "Hoomph!" a Militia spear/shield soldier blurted out after jabbing forward with his weapon. The two lines crashed together and it was obvious that Glory had the advantage of unit types, not numbers. Horde elite bows were not stupid enough to stand and fight so they immediately started to move back away from the skirmish as it erupted. They would fire at will against any enemies that came for them, but they would also have no choice to engage if Yan Xing got into trouble. They had small back up weapons that were all but useless against such powerful foes. Wei Yan could be seen storming through the center of his lines, making a mad dash toward Yan Xing. If he thought though, that the latter would be frightened he was incorrect. Xing dismounted his horse and smacked it on the ass, sending it running toward Horde lines. He walked forward, slowly, as Wei Yan ran toward him and he gripped his spear tight. As soon as Yan was within 20 yards, Xing bolted forward to meet him head on! "For the Horde!" The two warriors locked blades and exchanged a vicious stare before breaking free and unloading on one another. It was like lightning was blasting between the forest and city, sending sparks everywhere and light illuminating off of Chang An's walls. The two fought 20 bouts before letting up. Yan Xing rolled out to the right, gasping for breath after the onslaught. He stood and pointed his spear toward his opponent who was powerful but did not seem at 100 percent. The Horde officer was not aware of Wei Yan's injury in the previous battle and it was better that he did not know. Others would capitalize immediately on such a recent wound, but Yan Xing was not them. "I fear for you, Lord Yan" he said, circling to the left now, sizing up his foe. He was speaking of Wei Yan's inevitable clash with Ma Chao. Xing could possibly be bested, but if the Glory leader was not at full tilt against Mengqi it would be game over. "For the record, I have appreciated what you did for the people of Chang An though your approach at the banquet was got me angry. Either way, there was no stopping my lord from rising to glory like a flaming phoenix so our paths crossing was inevitable once you took this city." The two warriors squared off once more, ready to attack, while Xing finished up what he had to say. All around them soldiers were getting mauled, either by Qiang arrows from above or from each other. The Guardians had the advantage, outnumbering the infantry of the Horde but soon enough they would taste the wrath of Ma Chao and his elites. "It is a shame what happened to your friend and out of respect for my lord I must clear his name of any foul doing involved with that act" Xing said, whipping his spear around before holding it at the ready. "Now, i have spoke my piece...Let us finish this1" The Horde elite ran foward once again and the two engaged in heated single combat. Another 50 bouts of slashing, stabbing, countering, and parrying went on while Horde numbers were dwindling around the duel. The situation was beginning to look bad for Yan Xing who was slowly being encircled while the fight was underway. Engaging: Yan Xing, 200 Elite Horsebow, and 200 Militia Spear/Shield against Wei Yan! 200 Qiang Raiders against Zhang Ren! *************************** "Oh sh*t....." the Qiang riders yelled as the forest was set ablaze. They were near the edge again after moving back to strike out at Sun Liao. This time, Liao had a surprise and it was in the form of dancing flames across the tree line! The unit knew they were in trouble now as the Horde had men searching through the forest for wood to the northeast, Glory troops were to the north, and unknown to them Zhang Ren with his soldiers were to their east. The other way out was blocked by flames so it seemed their ambush had backfired against them. "Son of a bitch, move to the east we will make for the river!" The Qiang Captain ordered his 200 soldiers to break out through the forest, riding right into Zhang Ren's men. Their eyes shot open, frightened and confused as to why allied troops were there. This Zhang Ren was a mad man and had rushed into the forest as it was being set ablaze! "Fire at will!" he yelled, but his men were at a disadvantage amongst the trees. Still, they opened up on Ren and his soldiers. As the combat broke out in the forest, to the north a rider was making haste to Mengqi who was ordering the finished ladders to be moved toward the city walls. The rider was out of breath and wounded. "My lord, Yan Xing is slowly being engulfed by the enemy!" Ma Chao pulled hard on the reins of his war steed, looking shattered if only for a split second. It immediately turned to rage, which was his default emotion it seemed. "What of Han Sui!?" he barked, wondering where the hell Sui was. Down by the river, Han Sui was ordering men to retrieve water in case the defenders would use fire and he was unaware of the skirmish that had broken out. He did not think anyone would be crazy enough to just attack the Horde in their isolated position. A messenger would be on the way, to inform Sui to get his ass back there, but it would not arrive in time. "My lord!" The ground quaked as Ma Chao's steed thundered across the terrain and all that was left was a cloud of dust in his former position. Gleaming golden armor could be seen streaking from the forest toward the Horde main force and soon dragon elites were moving out! ***************************

Huang Zhong's Forces
200 Elite Bows 100 Veteran Pikes 100 Veteran Sword and Shield The old veteran Huang Zhong had calmly watched the battle from a distance. He had suspicions about the allies of the Golden Horde when they had suddenly withdrawn from a fight they had a chance to win in. His suspicions had turned out correct; the Qiang had betrayed the Horde, and now held Chang An. Neither did they seem obliged to ally with the Coalition forces. This would make for a truly troublesome battle; a three way fight was no an ideal situation right now. Nevertheless, the old man had vowed to fight, and fight he would!Leading his troops from the southeast, Huang Zhong marched with his men to the city walls, stopping just short of arrow range. He positioned his 200 Elite Archers in front, 100 Veteran Pikemen, and 100 Veteran Swordsmen behind them. He was in front of the ranks on his black horse, Straight Arrow. Riding forth, he shouted to the defenders, his voice heard far and wide."I am Huang Zhong, slayer of Tiny! Are there any cowards who dare face me in single combat?!"

Moni nähdä ei saa enää huomista, moni jää heitä kaipaamaan, jälkipolville jää maa rauhaisa
Once again Ren's 'quick' thinking managed to get him in trouble. Not was the forest now alight, but the Qiang soldiers managed to come up beside them. As the Qiang men came up beside them, both armies seemed to pause for a few seconds, just looking at each other.
Ren put his sword away and drew his bow, as Liu Pi did the same, both men shot a few arrows at the enemy. Ren's arrow took a man full in the face, as Pi's arrow missed his target, but managed to get a poor fool somewhere behind him.
Zhang rushed forward, knocking another arrow, and letting it fly. "Charge! Take them out, they are at our mercy here. Leave none alive." The four hundred men ran forth, clashing with the skirmishers in the woods. Some fell, but many less than had they been in an open field.

Zhou Tai smiled genuinely for the first time in the past 24 hours. Finally, a challenge... a ghost?
No, it was just someone overly tiny. And as the little man, Pwn Master Flash, came towards him leading a small army, Zhou Tai rallied his troops.
"My men! We are gathered here today to end Qiang's existence on this earth. We are here to avenge the death of Zei Fang... We are here to kill. I do not know all of you, but I do know that your presence here means much to my country. Men, I believe we may be outnumbered... almost two to one. Normally, I would say disengage... but now, let us, too, fight for glory..." he said, making an obvious compliment to Wei Yan and his Guardians. every maceman was paired with a Twin swordsman, the twinswordsman haing back ever so slightly behind the maceman. His troops were more seasoned than those Biggies. His twinswords were better than Biggies, they were faster than the claymores, and had the advantage of reach over the macemen. Although the same would be true for Biggy's twinswords in regards to Zhou Tai's macemen... Zhou Tai's macemen were veterans of war, and were out for blood. Could a simpleton militiaman stand up to that? The cry that followed Zhou Tai's little speech gave that answer.
HELL, NAW.
Zhou Tai stood in open ground his trops going to either side of him, 200 on his left and 200 on his right. He pointed the sword in his left hand at Biggy, and did the little "come on" thing Martial artists did with their fingers. He scowled at Biggy. sure, Biggy had some legit armor, and was probably swole as a wrestler on steroids... but did he have a cause? Was he fighting for revenge? No, he was fighting because he just wanted to fight. And within their differences would come Zhou Tai's victory.
the morale of Zhou Tai's troops has broken the Guinnes Book of World Records!
Zhou Tai has challenged Biggy to an ultimate Battle of Ultimate Destiny!
His troops are about to engage Biggy's in a rage of unbridled skill and death! ...Yes, I did just say that![/i]
