Upon the walls, the Qiang King ranted and raved trying to get his men to end a deadly siege which would be the end of him. Arrows soared through the air, in both directions, as allied attacks criss-crossed with that of the barbarians. Battle had erupted around the entire city, save for the north which was occupied by the Qiang Minister. To be exact, it was now controlled by Shu as the Minister had fallen back into the city after the mighty Guan Yu raced forward to claim his head.
"Move, defend from the city!"
As the Minister's men funneled through the gateway, which was much bigger due to damages inflicted during the first Horde attack, they were quickly being tossed aside by someone inside. It was as if rows of dominoes were just falling over with something moving through the middle, blazing a path.
It was Biggy!
Zhou Tai was standing over the fallen body of Biggy Smalls, but he was unaware that the brother of his victim was inside Chang An and now seeking revenge for what was done. A rumbling noise, akin to 2000 heavy cavalry, was heading toward Tai's direction with deadly intent.
It was Biggy.............Bigs!
"Oh snap, it is Biggy Bigs! Turn and fight!" a soldier yelled, seeing Bigs trucking toward the Wu lines as many of his comrades were running away. The Wu soldiers, mixed with their now allied Shu comrades, were ripping the Qiang from a functioning machine into small useless pieces. The combined power of Zhang Fei and Guan Yu had caused many of the barbarians to soil themselves before running back to their homelands!
Jiang Wei's timely commands and strategical insight had kept Shu's losses to a minimum. They were now in a perfect position to turn the tides of battle and would do so as word inside the city was spreading that the Qiang's escape was cut off!
The Shu army bested the small detachment sent by the Minister and immediately moved to guard the northern plains as well as the gate there. All the while, Zhou Tai and Bigs were exchanged attacks. The former trying to counter and parry, while the latter was attacking in a fury of hatred for the loss of his brother. Bigs had twin swords, similar to Dong Zhuo's saw blade, and they were making a most frightening noise while being whipped around in the air; just missing Tai's head on a few occasions. The Wu soldiers were all panic stricken, not totally concerned with Tai's safety as much as their own if Bigs headed their way.
To the south, the allied assault continued and the main army under Sun Liao was advancing along its path to glory. The siege tower had finally reached the walls to the left of a now gaping whole created in the wall there by boulder attacks. The Qiang were now in a bad way with Shu to the north, the Horde and Glory to the east near the river, and the main allied force coming from the south.
"Prepare to defend!" the king yelled, unsheathing his blade to aid in the melee which was about to ensue.
Qiang archers let go one final volley before running for the stairs leading down into the city. Replacing them were axe/mace men who were ready for the fight, anxious due to waiting inside where they could see and do nothing. Now was the time they would have to make a stand, if at all. If the walls were lost the battle would surely be over!
The allies had the advantage of both numbers and momentum, but the Qiang could not be counted out just yet. Their army was still strong and their leader still alive. Along the walls a massive host of defenders were waiting, bunched together as if at a rave party in line for the beer! They would not fall easily and the allies would have to get into the city elsewhere as the walls were about to become the location of a slaughter festivale.
CRASHIt was like a wave of power had blasted through the Qiang upon the walls as the large gate to the tower smashed down. No, there was probably no big gate on the front but the effect is cool. Not only that, but Sun Liao and Sun Yuan Ci had emerged from it like the Groundhog coming from his hole. The only difference was, that groundhog was cute and harmless where as the cousins were like one only with a pair of helicopter chain guns aiming to cut you down.
Bodies were flying off the walls as the allied soldiers poured out from the tower. The king fought hard and cut many down, who came close to him, but he tried to stay further to the middle near the gaping hole. Below, when he looked down into it, he could see allied infantry moving along with Huang Zhong and his men into the city. Unfortunately, that was where the archer groups were and they were vulnerable if caught in melee combat.
"Attack! Push them back!"
The Qiang King was both angry and frightened at the same time, seeing his weakling soldiers getting dispatched one by one as well as the cage coming down around him. As if things could not get worse, with the Sun cousins only yards away killing everyone and Huang Zhong moving in below, on the other side of the wall, near the river, more enemies were present. Horde banners, mixed with that of Glory, were waving high in the air along the eastern wall sending Qiang morale plummeting. Not only that, the Qiang King was now surrounded with only down as his option of escape.
"Oh........f....u.....c......k" a soldier muttered, looking to the eastern wall to see Ma Chao and Wei Yan scaling! He was looking over the edge, caught in a daze, and could be seen by his comrade behind who was waiting to engage. The back of the soldier burst open with the head of a spear as it ripped through him and then tossed him over the edge like a piece of nothing.
The other barbarian, that had just seen Mengqi's spear ravage his ally, turned to flee but he was instantly cut down by Wei Yan who had climbed up a different ladder. The two leaders were now upon the wall and it was time for a worse nightmare to be realized.
Screams and weapons clashing could be heard to the east as Qiang bodies were falling like wine pouring from a jug into Zhang Fei's mouth. Ma Chao ducked a slash at his throat and swiped the feet from a foolish barbarian before Wei Yan finished it with a downward thrust of his weapon. Yan turned to block an overhead attack to which Chao charged foward, ramming his shoulder into the exposed chest of the opponent. Immediately the Horde leader ducked to allow his ally the opportunity to attack. Wei Yan rushed forward a few steps and used his hand to push off of Ma Chao's back, sending his feet outward to level the enemy soldier. The Qiang was sent clear into the city, yelling out and looking back to his murderers as he fell to his death.
The two leaders looked to one another, just recently being hated rivals, and they exchanged a handshake after cutting enemy chumps down like it was nothing. Quickly, both retracted their hands as an axe came cutting down aiming to trim their limbs off. Their eyes shifted to look at the attacker who was now in a most dire situation. He just looked and shrugged, as if saying he was just doing his work; what he was paid to do.
"Gah!!"
As the barbarian fell to his death, it was obvious that his 'shift' was over.
Zhang Ren, the dirty rat bastard who had turned against the two leaders, had finally arrived. No one was sure just how he got out alive from his previous situation, being surrounded by the Horde after attacking them, but the white stuff around his mouth could be an indication. Either way, the famed mercenary was present and added to the already overwhelming amount of powerful officers along the walls.
As the battle raged on, the smell of roasted meat was wafting from the allied camp towards the western side of the plains around Chang An.
Upon the walls, Wei Yan could finally see the Qiang King. He hated the man, for being apart of the ruse which involved Lu Rai's head, but he had already slain the king's champion so that at least was slight revenge. Nothing could replace his fallen ally, but at least he had a new one fighting by his side. Both of the leaders who had started the war would soon finish it.
Ma Chao acknowledged Yan's call, pointing out the dastardly king, and both just looked at each other for a moment before reacting. Wei Yan darted forward, heading toward the gaping hole in the wall, and cut a bloody path through the Qiang along the way. Right behind him was Mengqi who was dancing on the corpses of the fallen as he passed by.
Time had to slow for something as kick ass as what was about to happen. Bodies were falling from the walls, seeming to defy gravity, as the camers panned around in a slowed state. Wei Yan could be seen, approaching the edge of the wall where the hole was, and he rolled right in front of an enemy. Had his new companion not acted, perfectly, it could have been his end but Ma Chao was well known for his prowess in combat. Not even a second had passed by before a hurling spear did, flying over Wei Yan and impaling the barbarian about to attack him. Mengqi never stopped though, after his throw on the run, and actually increased his pace to make a most notable impact upon the war.
"For Glory!" the horse lord yelled, giving respect to the kingdom he had previous intentions on destroying.
An armored boot set down onto Yan's back, possibly hurting the wounded warrior, but he held strong. In fact, he was so powerful he pushed upwards to help his ally get more height!
Ma Chao's other foot caught the shaft of his spear and then finally another landed on the head of the dying Qiang soldier, sending him flying through the air. He was jumping over the gap in the wall!
In mid air, Mengqi unsheathed his broad sword and yelled out to his treacherous enemy.
"Do not flee, Ma Chao has come for your life!"The camera slowly rotated around Chao as he descended upon his prey, kinda like the Matrix, and a most chilling noise followed his landing. Many of the Qiang around the area, fighting T'se, turned to see what had happened. To their despair, all they could see was two halves of their former king laying upon the walls of Chang An!
To the west, as was stated earlier, the smell of roasted meat had arrived and Bigs took immediate notice. It was almost as if this part was a quick ending to the story as the admin's hands seemed ready to fall off after this post. Yes, it was just that. The smell of the meat forced Bigs to looks away from the fight with Zhou Tai and it would be his undoing. A quick slash of Tai's weapons and soon the large gut of the Qiang warrior was pouring its contents onto the battlefield. There were Ho Ho wrappers, pieces of animals, and lots of beer if anyone wanted any. Either way, the Wu die hard had killed the two brothers and along with Huang Zhong has slain the entire Bigs/Tiny family!
The Qiang King has been slain by Ma Chao! Biggy Smalls and Biggy Bigs have been killed by Zhou Tai! The Qiang army shatters under the following attacks and has no choice but to attempt a retreat! Shu, however, is waiting and they annihilate the majority of the men trying to retreat!
