*In-Battle Post* Dozens of men fell to the ground in sheer awe of Lu Bu stampeding towards their ranks. Screams of the legendary warrior’s name filled the air, hushed only by the thundering hooves of his elite cavalry. But it was not they who were at the front of this charging formation; their horses could not keep pace with the greatest, indeed, among men: Lu Bu; among horses: Red Hare. The crimson coated steed rushed ahead of the ranks, carrying its grinning master to new heights of speed. They had seen many men rush away - now a brave few rushed forward, calling out the mighty generals name, and issuing him the challenge he so sorely sought after. Lu Bu barely had to think of an audible response, he reared his stallion up just slightly, before leaping off of it, crashing down into the dirt below with a crashing thud, knees bent only slightly. Red Hare circled round, rushing away out of danger, yet was still in ear shot of its masters cries. Zhuo’s finest warrior stood tall, almost motionless for a few moments, his eyes closed, breathing in the atmosphere. “Fools!” As quick as these loud words rung in the ears of the men challenging him, Lu Bu pounced off of his back foot, swiftly rushing into his own stampede across the battlefield. His fingers circled around the shaft of his halberd: one hand was held half way along its length, the other gripping the end of the fine weapon tightly. The razor sharp, perfected blade split the air open before him, guiding his way towards his first enemy: the wounded Qu Yi. Was it cowardly fighting an injured man? Lu Bu perhaps knew not of the mans ailments, but a disability would not stop this animals charge - all were fit for death under his blade! Speed had been built up in Lu Bu’s quick pace, dirt had been kicked up into the air from his charge - now only bloody had to be spilled for the perfect end! The warrior drew back his halberd just before coming in range of Qu Yi, began to focus his energy into a balanced, controlled swing, and then slowed his sprint into a jog: he would not be beaten by his own enthusiasm. Towering above his opponent, Lu Bu laughed, and then finally, his blade swung through the air in a diagonal cut, aiming to slice Qu Yi from his left shoulder, down to his right hip. “Die!” The attack was a preliminary one; Lu Bu kept his armoured body at a slight distance, using the range of his weapon to strike his opponent with vicious power. It seemed he was not too worried about Zhou Tai’s cries, though he would spring into full action should the warrior dare intervene in this bout. *Lu Bu has engaged Qu Yi's challenge!*

He's come, thought Wei Yan as he ripped through another enemy soldier. "There he is, milord! Lu Bu!" yelled Lu Rai, almost seeing the disbelief in Wei Yan's eyes. It was a dreadful day, and it would have one of two endings, great or horrid. Wei Yan was on the war path for the mounted beast.
The soldier kept pressing up into the enemy ranks for a few moments, before falling back and forming their ranks again, taking a semi-circle form to prepare for opponents on all sides. Lu Rai fell back into their ranks to aid them and coach them through their actions. Wei Yan did not...
The first mounted man that came within grasps was not only dismounted, but was murdered with Wei Yan's bare hands. Not an uncommon sight as of late. Yan did a quick sweep of the land, retrieving both his battle axe and his spear. "Rai! This is glory!"
Wei Yan was off, charging for the rider, Spear in hand, there were no words only a name and roars. "Lu Bu! Hoo-Rah!" boomed Wei Yan as he tossed dead enemy soldier from his spear threatening the massive mounted general.
Lu Rai watched, gritted his teeth, than stole a horse of his own. He made a hard dash for Lu Bu. It wasn't a spur of protection, it was his own pride ripping at his chest.
"Men! We go to slay the beast! March!" Rai roared, and the semi-circled men began a slow cautious march behind the two charging generals.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wei Yan and Lu Rai both charge at Lu Bu. Their remaining soldiers taking a defensive stance to break upon the tides of spears and arrows.
In-Battle Post Qu Yi readied himself as Lu Bu neared him and attacked with the terrifying polearm. He brought both blades up to catch the dread weapon, intending to force it aside and counterattack. However, upon impact his right leg gave out and he dropped to one knee. The force of Lu Bu's blow had been more than anything Qu Yi thought possible. Still, he wasn't beaten yet. With a grunt, he pushed the halberd to his left and, placing all pressure on his left leg, pushed off the ground to get within striking distance of Lu Bu. Keeping his left blade ready to ward off a counterstrike* he stabbed at Lu Bu's abdomen with his right. As he moved, his own stomach wound opened slightly, staining his armor. He really didn't have a great deal of time; hopefully Zhou Tai would be able to offer a timely assist. *For the record, the terrorists** aren't gonna win this one. **You're the terrorists.
Lu Zhi bades his soldiers to once again tend to the Grand Commander and deal with the injury that He Jin had substained from the enemy troops. He was getting rather annoyed, but made sure not to show it, at how easily wounded He Jin could be aswell as how easily fell into traps. He would rather be on the frontlines fighting helping out the rest of the allies and maybe slay that fool Niu Fu to quench his anger.
"Grand Commander maybe it is best if you remain away from the frontlines of the battle. It would do us no good if you try and fight with that injury. it would only put you in unnecessary danger. The likes of Lu Bu are out there right now and you are in no fit state to battle so please remain away from the frontline and let us take care of things."
He waited patientely for an answer while one of the troops was removing the arrow, if still left in would, and started to cover up the wound with a bandage.
*In-Battle Post* Qu Yi held his own well, the wounded warrior had stopped a mighty swing from the even mightier Lu Bu. Even with his injuries splitting open, crippling the man, he still dared to thrust a blade towards his healthier enemy. Lu Bu grunted as he saw his blade fail to cut down Qu Yi - already he was eager and hungry for blood. One thing did please him however, increasing his wicked grin; the counter-attack came swiftly. Bu had already drawn his weapon back as soon as it failed to connect with his enemy’s flesh. He hugged the weapon close to his chest, and in the same movement, he darted to his right, away from Qu Yi’s strike, and also slightly moving back from the warrior and his range. Having evaded the blade, Lu Bu again swung his colossal weapon down upon Qu Yi in the same diagonal angle as before, as if swinging a mighty hammer to split open his opponents head. Another roar escaped his lips, letting all around hear his zeal.
The young woman continued to push her men through the enemy, striking down those who dared come in range of the Demon Claw with surprising strength and accuracy. She was definitely no pushover, one who had fought for her right to command these troops more than any male officer had. She wasn't entitled to that right because of her gender, she had needed to reach out and take it from another.
Her men roared with triumph as another enemy was slain, grunted in pain as they fell. But still, they wouldn't give up, not even as the words so many dreaded. "It's... It's Lu Bu!"
Word defiantly got around fast.
Xifeng turned Syto around, toward the direction of pounding hooves and the roar of bloodlust. She could see them from here, and part of her wished to challenge this man who was thought to be a demon. The Demon Verses The Devil... The thought made her eyes flash with angry intent. There would be glory to the winner of this fight indeed. Her thoughts were interrupted by her second calling out to her, riding up and pulling his horse into a hasty halt.
"Qu Yi has Challenged Lu Bu!" He panted, then turned to ward off a oncoming attack. Xifeng frowned in surprise. "That fool! He's still gravely injured." What one would do for glory, hm? She had to admit though, it was quite the feat to pull off.
"I'm going to go back him up! You're in charge!" She wheeled around, preparing to gallop away. "But M'lady..." "Just do It!"
Her Dapple Gray's hooves pounded on the sand, causing it to fly everywhere as she sped past, taking out one last Enemy with a neat uppercut of her spear. Today would be the day Lu Bu fell, whether by her hands or another Allies.
Xifeng's men continue to battle it out! The Beautiful Devil runs off to Back up Qu Yi!
In-Battle Post Qu Yi was growing more sluggish by the moment. He had expected Lu Bu to dodge, but he was unable to stop his momentum in time. As he stumbled forward, off-balance, he saw Lu Bu's strike. The repetition was a godsend; Qu was just able to throw his left sword in the way of the strike. This time, though, the force of the blow drove him to the ground. He rolled as he collapsed, moving away from Lu Bu and managing to roll to his feet. He was breathing heavily now. Still, despite his obvious physical weakness, he refused to falter. "Is that all you got? What a..." Qu Yi paused and coughed up a stream of blood. "...ugh." He grimaced and tightened his grip on his weapons. He tried to shout as he launched himself once again at his clearly-underwhelmed opponent, but that only prompted another trickle of blood and mucus. As he entered Lu Bu's range, he readied both of his swords to deflect the blow. by this time he realized that he couldn't possibly block it head on, but if he merely made it glance off his swords, he might have a window to counterattack. * * * * * "What?" exclaimed Zhang He when he heard of Qu Yi's duel. "I specifically told him..." He was interrupted as he noticed Xifeng separate from the rest of her troops. "Her too? A most hideous situation. You..." he called to one of the swordsmen near him, "Follow her. I expect she's off to aid my erstwhile lieutenant. Make sure neither of them come to harm." "Yes sir." Junyi grimaced, then continued his attack on Guo Si's forces, covering Xifeng's unit's flanks.
*In-Battle Post* Seeing blood spew from his opponents mouth, and his already limp weakness, Lu Bu broke his menacing frown, forming a raised eyebrow in confusion. He hadn’t struck the man yet, he had barely knocked him to the ground, yet this warrior before him was near death, his heart pumping out streams of blood to his lips. Still, Bu had little time to ponder such things, his enemy’s endless bravery rushed at him once more. Readying his weapon back to his chest once more, Lu Bu prepared his next, and hopefully, final assault on Qu Yi. He knew that another vertical attack would be deflected by his opponents swords, so, pressing hard on his right foot, Lu Bu leapt to his left, and not an inch forwards, again keeping range; here he relied upon Qu Yi’s enthusiasm. In the moment he leapt out to his side, Lu Bu swing his immense halberd out in a horizontal swing, from right to left, bringing the blade crashing towards the front of Qu Yi’s abdomen. Following with it was another roar from Zhou’s mighty warrior, adding force to the brave swing. Now he hoped to end this, and take on the next challenger; but would Qu Yi's zeal still be too much for Lu Bu to finish?
In-Battle Post Once again, Qu Yi found himself outpaced by Lu Bu. He had expected the strike to come from the side, or at least a stab that he could bat away. He didn't expect a sweeping blow to come hurtling directly in front of him. He stopped short, wincing as he realized that he'd stopped on his bad leg, and brought both swords up to absorb the blow. However, his grip finally gave way, and the weapons were knocked clear from his hands as he blocked. He was sent sprawling backward; his swords fell to the ground a distance from him. He glanced at them and realized that it was hopeless. He slowly tried to get to his feet, mumbling a silent prayer to the heavens to grant his allies speed.
(This is my arrival with Yuan Ci, up to the present battle time, you guys pack a lot of shit in one night.)
Arrival Sun looks across the battlefield, shocked at the carnage, the reality of battle. He has witnessed it before but never at this level. In the air he could smell the burning flesh and in his mind he can seetheir mangled bodies. The river is discolored and bodies flow down it as a loud crash is heard. The catapults fire flame into an ally ship and Sun looks down.
His time has come, this is where he gets to prove himself. He looks to his cousin as he makes his speech and Sun feels proud. He now feels a new strength in him not felt before. He feels as if he finally has a reason to fight and someone to die for.
"At last men we make our stand. We have waited for this for far too long and these men have suffered in our absence, let us bring them hope! Let us be the turn of the tide and strike down these pretenders! Ride with me men to glory!"
Sun raises his spear in triumph as he watches Yuan Ci charge at the enemies. Sun looks to Ce,
"We will take the men north around their flank and take out their archers. We will meet with everyone in the middle of the field, we will vanquish this enemy once and for all."
"Yes lord"
Ce motions to the cavalry and rides around the north flank. Sun looks back to his remaining men. He turns and looks forward and raises his spear as his horse starts trotting. The men start following behind him at a slow jog and it builds up into a charge.
"For Glory and Honor!"
Liao and his men charge with Zhang Ce north and move to flank the archers firing
Troops: 25 Veteran Sword and shields 25 Veteran Archers 25 Veteran Spearmen 25 Veteran Lancers 100 Veteran Archers 400 Veteran twin swords (The archers and the Twin swords came from the main unit that Yuan Ci put under my command)
Current Battle
Sun Liao and Zhang Ce have ridden north and barring any pit traps or ambushes lays and waits watching the archers. He looks back to the men and raises his spear. The charge commences and they charge the first unit of archers. (I'll put this but Idk if there was a trap or not, just say so and I'll delete this tidbit.)
In-battle Post The woman urged her horse onward, intent on making it in time to save the Lieutenant of Zhang He. And maybe also, there was that little bit of her that wanted the glory of fighting a duel as well. But that was only left for others to guess as Syto barreled across the beach at a breakneck pace. Ahead of her, the Semi-circle of Wei Yan's men had started to block her view. Xifeng cursed her luck.
"Tch. Get out of my way!!"
It seemed like up until the last moment she was going to run down the Allies, but her horse gathered it's feet underneath her and jumped. Not to mention any sane man would of moved out of the way or ducked seeing her coming down the way like that.
This girl was on a mission!
Syto kept going, it seemed; straight in between Lu Bu and Qu Yi and off in the other direction before coming back around. And if that hadn't momentarily startled the men, the dark haired figure that stood between them (who was admittedly smaller, but no less fierce,) should do the trick.
"Feh. What were you thinking? You're still Injured." The musical voice of The Beautiful Devil held a slightly scolding tone, but of more amusement than anything else. Her piercing golden eyes remained on the man in front of her, her spear held in such a way that she could either Attack or Defend in a moments notice.
Xifeng Interrupts the Duel! Just what the heck is she thinking?!
*In-Battle Post* Two dull thuds. That was all Lu Bu was waiting for. Qu Yi’s swords had left their master, and tumbled into the dirt below, a good distance away from use once again. Lu Bu snarled at his opponent, whom could barely stand now, stumbling hopelessly to his feet. A death on his knees? Lu Bu had often seen himself as an executioner of sorts, a man reaping souls on the battlefield. Perhaps this was just too literal. He gave no further thought to it; his weapon was back to his chest, hugging it loosely, primed for the final blow. It was then that a petit, thin figure stepped in, causing Lu Bu to take a step back, and grimace. “Agh! A woman!? Why are you on the battlefield? Shouldn’t you be letting yourself out as a whore to He Jin!?” Lu Bu cackled evilly - he cared not who this woman was, what strength she had hidden away inside her, or whether or not she held any real power in the worldly scheme. All he knew is that she was in his way between his next kill, and that she would become just another score on his tally chart should she not move. The mighty warrior smirked, and tightened his grip around the shaft of his grand halberd. Its blade glistened quickly in the sunlight, and Lu Bu’s eyes pierced forwards, narrowing, showing his prepared nature. “Move.. I don’t have time for the likes of you!” Letting out a roar, Lu Bu pounded the ground with the opposite end of his weapon, thundering a small tremor throughout the ground. His booming voice had hopes to strike fear into his enemy, or perhaps call out for a true warrior to step forward, and remove this dainty creature from his sight. Lu Bu would not yet strike - he pondered upon his opponents next move. One thing was for certain - Qu Yi’s life had been extended, if only for a short while. Now he could witness his feminine saviour die in vain!
Stuned, nothing else to say about it, as he predicted the legendary Lu Bu tore his army a new one and was already acting like some raving lunitic, only some one with a reputation such as his could barely after a single man deep inside the enemy. If it weren't for the darned pit then such a heavily clad unit would've never caught his more moblie unit untill he was upon the foot soilders, but the raving imbicile Lu Bu might still have charged him even if it would've killed his own allies. After hacing pulled out his unit slightly to regroup he had to reform his plan.
"Damn... This is some grave mistake brought on by my rashness, perhaps I've been watching Xiahou Yuan to much. We can no longer afford to proceed with are original assault. Take the catapult!"
Turning the unit again and getting up to a full gallop his remaining punitive force stormed the nearby catapult to ether disarm it or take it over. It was all he felt he could do with just about a forth of his original force.
After regrouping from "IT's" assault Xiahou Dun is trying to take over the catapult right before him.
