This is the strength of the city's walls. They are repaired or increased by working.

*The night air sat perched upon the shoulders of the young warrior who stalked the walls of the city which he never once left. He walked slowly, taking each step with a halt, looking out to the dark horizon under a white starlit sky. He came up to a rampart, and leaned forward to rest against it. He thought of his upbringing. His many years of brainwashing, in which he held audience with his father, look up with a wide smile at all the lies he was filled with. Forsaken was the Han for years. His father was a high ranking politic, and this young warriors life was merely to be a pawn at the will of the Han. He was a strong child who learned fast, and when he began to learn of martial arts and tactics of war, it was thought that the next great general of the Han was on his way.*
*But much happened to thrawt that. Perhaps he was too close with his father for too long. Perhaps he was not brainwashed enough by the time he was able to think for himself. The corruption was translecent, and Sun Zhiyun could see straight throuh it. It was odd, Zhiyun thought, how if he saw his own father he'd contemplate slaying him to save him from further damnation. While he once loved the man, he could not believe the makings of his deciet. When Dong Zhuo came on a rise, his father joined him for the sake of power. This is all what he heard, for Sun Yuan Ci had not talked to his father for years prior to the events of Dong Zhuo.*
*Zhiyun also had spent a long time away from the palace. He turned to look at it. As beautiful as it was, it was the fortress in which so much evil had arose. Somewhere within rested his father, and it was hard to imagine that the man was so close to him, but at the same time so far.*
*Zhiyun began to walk to his own cottage. It was located on the southern tip of the city, along the walls. However, he was met by a harsh gaze from a guard captain patrolling the streets as he approached his home. He met the captain's gaze, knowing that this man likely betrayed his honor in order to reach his rank. Nevertheless, he was smart enough to avoid trouble. Until trouble was unavoidable.*
"I bet you think you're something."
*Zhiyun stopped. He halted for a moment, before turning around to return his gaze at the man he passed.*
"Excuse me?"
"I know you. Look at you. If you're as great a fighter as you say they are, then why do you sit idle at the homefront in the middle of a battle?"
"It's funny you should say that, seeing as you sit as idle as I."
*The cocky smirk was washed from the captain's face, who called for a few guards to follow him as he approached Sun Yuan Ci closely. He stepped up to his face, as he took a deep breath and spit in Zhiyun's face. Sun waited a moment, before he responded.*
"Do not think that spitting in the face with honor shall restore you own. I have words I may say to you now, but that will get us nowhere."
*The captain said nothing. He created a fist, and threw an uppercut into Sun Yuan Ci's gut, who lost his breath and fell forward, where he was met by a straight throw of another fist. It was at that time that the guards swarmed iand took a series of swings at Sun Yuan Ci, who opted not to fight back. When they were done, Zhiyun was left bruised and bloodied. He retired to his home. The words lingered in his mind. Why did he sit idle? Perhaps there was no honor in fighting for Dong Zhuo's greed. But there would be in defeating him. With that thought, Zhiyun departed Luo Yang.*
