The main gate to the city. This is used for visitors to gain entrance and for the defenders to strengthen.
Gate = 0/600

The blank sheet of rain seemed to dull the mind, like that of music in the background, making you far more tired than you should be. Yet, deep inside, you don’t care, you don’t see a reason too. It was another day, another month, another year of wastefulness, and you just can’t seem to keep your spirits up, no matter how much wine you drink. Yet even so, you take a peep out of the hole that over looks the gate, and you see nothing, just the morbid fog that seems to cover the city. You shrug your shoulders and look at your companions.
They are all sitting around, tossing stones to see who got closest to the center, and you smirk as the man next to you, Yen, misses his target once again. He was always bad at the game, that is why you and the others always let him play, because it is amusing, yet he never seems to get it. Or why his wife bitches at him when he comes home a few yen short.
“Damn it, Cheng,” Yen swears at you. “Stop smiling. It really is not that funny.”
Yet you know it is, you like the misery of others, doesn’t matter who, because it means you can ignore your own miserable life, which is something you like to ignore. Going home alone every night is not pleasant, no matter how many prostitutes you sleep with, they never equate to her. But that was when you were younger, and she is long gone now, married to someone else. The bitch.
“Shut up Yen, you suck and you know it.” That was De, a lanky bastard who never seems to get any fatter no matter how much food he eats. Long dark hair seems to cover his hair, him being to lazy to keep it up in a bun in the latest imperial trend. But yet, he was the youngest, and perhaps, best looking of the group. The last one would be Yu, who seemed never to say much, but rather stare at the others, a giant scar puckered his flesh along the left side, extended from under his eye and ending under his ear. Nasty thing given to him by pirates.
“Yeah!” Yen kept going, he was a loud mouth for sure. “Well it is annoying, as if this weather isn’t bad enough, I have to look at his ugly face.” De simply shook his head, throwing his own stones, which landed closer to the center than the others. His face lit up as he picked up the money, depositing towards himself.
You simply shook your head, he would like to believe De was cheating, but that would be unlikely, that bastard was to honest. Never took a bribe, never took a mistress, and never was lacks on the rules. He would likely not be gambling, but that was his one addiction. Thankfully so, for it passed the time.
Suddenly you note Yu moving, and you look at him. He motions with his head for you to look outside, which you of course do. And you spot it, a covered wagon pulled by two white horses. A man sitting there in the rain, is at the reigns of them. Four cavalry officers are on horses around it, bows and swords in hand, but not an army. You wondered what they are they for, and you ask.
“Lord Sima Yi of Chang Sha has come at the request of Lord Yuan Shao to speak with the lord of this city. He would like permission to enter and be granted an audience.”
You swear and shake your head. It had not been long before that they had taken over Jiang Ling, the city to the south. Yet, Sima Yi, you had heard whispers of before, of the renowned Sima Clan. But why would he ally himself with Yuan Shao, the man who had burned his own capital to the ground. It seems like he would have joined someone far smarter and wiser. But perhaps, you wonder, ambition got the better of him.
“Hold on.” You yell through the rain. “I have to get a hold of an officer of the state to get a confirmation.”
