I call myself the Beast, why do I keep it locked away? Maybe this pirate is right, thought the Beast as he snarled a bit under his breath. How bad he wanted to let loose and destroy this pirate. Not only did the arrogant fool speak to him like he was a child, but then he'd gone as far as to approach him like a friend. Sighing a bit though, the Beast just shook his head as Sun Liao came out.
It was the most welcomed sight since Lu Rai. The man who had done nothing more then stand beside Wei Yan in his times of turmoil and struggle. He had been there with Dong Zhuo, and was the first man to arrive when Chang An came under siege. Never during Qi Ning did he turn tail and run, instead he pushed on, right beside Yan. Even when the city was on the verge of destruction and the Glory Leader came to reclaim it, he pressed on, blade in hand. If ever there was a man to re-kinderd the heart of Wei Yan and take the place of Lu Rai, it was Sun LIao. He held no love for the pirate, so neither would the Beast.
"Pirate, people who wage war with madness are the reasons the Beast of Chang An has to wage war with rage. No one can stand against the horde of madness better than the Beast. None can submerge themselves in the sound of madness and come out sane, unlike the Beast. I know my role in this world. I breathe war, hear war, see war, digest war, bleed war, sweat war, and, as of late, cry tears of war. Do you really think I need some guerrilla war-waging pirate to tell me how to do battle. River masters may fear the Pirate, but the heavens shake before the might of the Beast. Remember that."
The coarse voice of the Beast was only emphasized by the evident tighter grip on his spear. Again he could feel his forearm nearly ready to explode. The adrenaline was beginning to course through his body, so now was a time to either make or break it. Taking in a deep breath, as if to roar, the Beast just shook his hair out of his face and let out a deep sigh. With a smile, he looked over to Sun Liao. He wanted to immediately follow his friend and hear what the Lord of Ye wanted to say, but he wasn't sure he could.
"My friend... Peace has not just crumbled, your cousin take the sledge to it's foundation. Don't take my words wrong, I hated the Cowardly King. I wanted him dead. I wanted to be the one to kill him, but he deserved open warfare. I told him to come to this banquet hoping he would see all the enemies who stood against him and have a fair chance to ready himself. Instead he comes and is killed by your cousin." by now the Beast was breathing hard again, distraught by his own indirect role in this, but he took a few deep breaths and calmed down before continuing "I'm not sure it would be right of me to speak with the Lord of Ye. I've only just joined the ranks of T'se. It's not my place. Though, if you insist, I'll go. If I go though, don't expect me to hold my tongue. After the banquet of Xi Liang, I'm sure all of China knows of my talking skills."
