In The South... YEAHHH BOIII[/u]
"Father... have you heard? They say that there are tribes here. Would they cause any harm for us?"
"I do not know Xing. That is what I have come to see. Thank you for keeping me up on the rumors in the north my son. You have been invaluable to me for these last few days.
"I just wish for what is best father. With such things being said all of us should know what is going on and you are the furthest from any information."
Guan and his son Xing were on a peaceful ride through the forests of Yun Nan. While Guan's men continue to work and patrol the city, rebuilding it to its glory that the Great Teacher had once had it. The man who was left in charge after the Teacher passed had left the city in such dissaray. Now it was for Shu to rebuild it, to protect it.
As Xing informed Guan of his worries of both the happenings in the north and the rumors of great beasts and nearly unbeatable men in the south. Guan had decided to meet with these men. They were the inhabitants of Nanzhong, and now that Guan was put over the area he had to meet with them. They had worked with Zhang Jiao, but he did not know their stand on Cheng Tong, the man who ahd formed the 'Red Scarves' and ran the area poorly.
After a while Guan and Xing had come to a stop. The beast of a horse that Guan rode, known as the Red Hare, looked down at a man who had stood before it. Red Hare had whinnied and Guan looked down to the man. The man didn't look like a stanard soldier, but didn't look completely like a villager either. His skin was darker than most and he had tribal markings over his body. This must be one of the Nanman.. Guan thought to himself as he dismounted Red Hare, leaving his Green Dragon in Xing's possesion. Guan walked up to the nanman and looked down at him, he had no choice... Guan was a giant of Shu.
"You are a tribesman correct? I am Guan Yu. I have recently rid Yun Nan of its so-called 'leader' Cheng Tong and his band of Red Scarves. I wish to speak with the tribal Kings of defending Nanzhong."
Guan stood as tall as he could. Though there was something different about him. Since his encounter with the gatesmen at Yun Nan he always had himself ready now. His body was ready to react to the slightest sign of hostility, though he had prayed that there wouldn't be any.

The man stood motionless and expressionless as the massive Guan Yu, of Shu, introduced himself. He had never seen a red colored horse nor such a beard. Ironic as it would seem, out in the middle of the south, Guan Yu was well known to the Nanman people. "Guan.....Yu?" the man said, his eyes shooting open now realizing who he was standing before. The great Shu general was conversing with King Sulu, of the Nanman tribe, who was not to be confused with King Mulu or the asian guy from Star Trek. No, he was King Sulu and he was very important. "Come with me.... i will show to the village." Surrounding Guan Yu and his son was thick wilderness. If they looked quick, just in the distance was a creature. The animal was only around 20 feet or so away but the trees and grassy stuff was really long. It was an elephant! *elephant sound* "Oh ho ho! Do not be alarmed, that is my elephant Bob" Sulu said, holding a hand over his chest for some reason. Maybe he was trying to beam himself up, if so it was not working. Bob moved toward the two Shu warriors and smelled them out. If he did not like the two he would squish them no problem. Elephants in the south were known to go crazy and especially if their name was Bob. "Do not worry, Bob and I have known each other at least a week." So they were off, moving through the thick brush and foliage or something. To the right was a poisonous swamp, but that seemed a bit to DW-ish. Still, if one of them stepped in it by accident bad things could happen. King Sulu pointed out the landmarks as they went through. On one side was an ancient statue of the first Nanman king. It was a solidified pile of Elephant poo, but the people were unaware of that so they worshipped it. The bad part was when some kissed it as a blessing. Anyway, the Nan man took them deep into the forest and soon they could hear noises in the distance. The village?

Guan looked in the distance in shock from the sound. He had reached for Xing and his son knew what to do. In that instant Xing had thrown Guan his Green Dragon. Though before Guan could even ready himself after catching the weapon he was told not to be alarmed. He set the weapon to his side as he whistled. As King Sulu began moving forward Red hare alongside Guan Xing moved towards Guan. Guan Yu took the reigns in his hand and walked behind King Sulu a little, with Red Hare and Guan Xing trotting next to him.
"Such an exotic area..."
Guan thought aloud taking in the scenery and following the tribe king.

Jian Yuan and his troops was hiding not far from Master Guan Yu and his son Guan Xing. Jian Yuan was scouting on Guan Yu and his son so they will help him if they were under attack by the Nan Man tribes. "Hold your ground, if General Guan Yu is safely leave the village, we will retreat. If Master Guan Yu and Master Guan Xing is ambushed, we will strike the tribes from here." Jian Yuan whispered to his sergeant. The sergeant nodded and tell the rest of the men. "Master Guan Yu, hope that nothing happened to you and your son."

King Sulu escorted Guan Yu and his son into a small village deep inside the jungle. He was not the king of much, but he was still a king. Meng Huo controlled a much larger piece of territory to the south, but no one really went there because the fat barbarian ruler was said to be a cannibal.
"Ah ha! Here we are. Make yourself at home Guan Yu the Great."
Other tribes people surrounding a small fire, where Yu was being brought, looked at the two foreigners with buldging eyes. They too knew of the great bearded man and had action figures of him. In the north was Zhang He land, but down south they rocked Guan Yu all day, every day!
If Jian Yuan thought he was not detected, in enemy territory out of his familiar surroundings, he was wrong. Elephants could smell the remaining dribble of sauce on his chin from the cheesy fries he had earlier.
Bob looked toward the general direction of Yuan and squinted his big baby blue eyes. If one could describe Bob it would be said that he was an elephant, but one sexy ass elephant. Hell, Bob had his own action figure too!
"What the hell, Bob you smell something?"
If Jian Yuan was found, the lives of Guan Yu and his son could be at risk. How many troops did Yuan have? His entire force? One would hope not as that could seem like a declaration of war!

Guan nodded to the King as he was told to make himself at home. Guan Xing dismounted his horse and Red hare stuck to Guan's side. It was if the bond between the two were as strong as the bond of Guan's brotherhood, maybe stronger. Guan spoke with a few of the villagers until he had noticed Bob's reaction. The reaction had alarmed Guan himself and he moved next to Sulu with his Green Dragon at the ready. He stood slightly in front of the King and looked in the direction that their attention was drawn to.
"That looks like where I sent Jian to survey."
Guan said thinking to himself and turning to Sulu quickly. He ran his hand through his beard, relaxing his shoulders, trying to ease the moment of the villagers as well.
"Do not worry King Sulu. I had sent a small party to search for a man named Cheng Tong. He ambushed me when I liberated Yun Nan and he was last seen fleeing to this area. Could you send a few men to assist my General? He has no knowledge of this land and any help would be greatly appreciated.."
Guan said as he bowed to the man.

King Sulu looked concerned when Guan Yu stated having some troops stationed nearby. Did the big green monster have plans on taking Sulu's village?
"Bob....seal the way out" the leader said, ordering his elephant to block Guan Yu's escape.
"We finally have you!"
Villagers came out from behind huts and large vases. The people behind the vases stood up and had make-shift weapons, but inside the vases were midgets and they had weapons too!
"Some of our people were in Yun Nan the day you attacked!" Sulu yelled, furious that they were all slain and were innocent.
It was no doubt the work of Cheng Tong, but the Nanman did not know that. They knew a bit about the Turbans and the former lord Zhang Jiao, but they only sent men to offer peace.
"We send people to make peace and now there is war!"
Guan Yu and his son were in big trouble. They could either try and get help to wipe out the small settlement or Yu could try to talk his way out.

Guan's eyes watched the elephant move towards the only "escape". Guan knew there were other ways away but that was truly the only one known to him. The other passages through this village to his knowledge could be a dead end or to a different village. Guan sighed, calming himself instantly from the immense rage that was building within him. If it had not been for his son's worried face he would have completely lost it.
"F... Father?"
"Remain calm Xing."
Guan said looking to his son and then moving his sight back to the leader. He looked to the leader of the village. Should he appeal to the man's common sense? or should he just let them attack him and slay the village until the elephant decided to go on its rampage. The wise man would opt for the former, and that Guan did. He remained stood where he was, the butt of the Green Dragon digging into the dirt beneath his feet.
"King Sulu. Would I kill your tribesmen and come to your village with only my son? It wouldn't be very smart from the view of a general or a leader. I have come to speak with you in assisting me. I am the first ring of defense before any fool can get to these precious tribes of the nanman. I wanted to make sure that my rear would not be attacked by the men that I intend to protect."
Guan spoke clearly, his deep voice clearly heard by every ear... even by those that were in the vases. Guan stood unmoving, still his body was prepared for any slight hostile action towards him. Of course he was somewhat in his prime and the second thought that came to his mind was if he was able to fight off all of these men if they decided to charge him anyway. Perhaps he would not slay them, but knock them unconciounce until Xing could get back to Yun Nan. The thought quickly left his mind as he opened his mouth to speak again
"I apologize that I was not quick enough to act against Cheng Tong to save your tribesmen, but over 100 of my most treasured men were killed by his cowardice as well. Those men have just left Yun Nan and unlike me and my men, Cheng Tong knows this land. He can strike any of us at any time. Will you not assist me in ridding Nanzhong of this fool? I wish for no hostility between us."
Guan's black eyes were focused dead on King Sulu. His words, though able to be heard by the others, were mainly going to him.

King Sulu was a powerful man himself, but even he could sense the overwelming aura of strength surrounding Guan Yu. Not only were the rumors true of his magnificent beard and appearance, but the Green Dragon looked as if to be the weapon of a god. There was no doubt that the people of the village did not want to fight Yu, especially the midgets, but if he did kill their people they would have no choice.
However, it seemed Guan Yu was just as skilled in the arts of diplomacy as he was warfare. Well, maybe not as skilled in such things but if anything he could talk sense into King Sulu who was obviously just angered by the loss of his people.
As was stated, they knew of Cheng Tong but not which one was responsible for Nanman deaths. After Guan Yu had clarified the situation, it made things a little bit more clear.
"Hmmm, i see."
Sulu's hand hovered around his chest area again almost as if he was going to beam in some reinforcements. Instead though, he started to laugh and walked toward Guan Yu.
"I knew it could not have been true, Guan Yu!" he said, moving forward and giving the Shu officer a big hug. Yu would most likely smell the lovliness that was King Sulu's stink, but better to deal with that than become Bob's new play toy. Normally the elephant used good sized trees to fling around and fetch, so Guan Yu would have been a nice replacement.
"Bob was excited and he wanted to fight, but i guess we can save that for real enemies. Right, Bob?"
The elephant gave out a deafening roar? with its trunk. If the hidden Shu soldiers were not visible by now they would be as Nanman scouts had moved to verify what Guan Yu had said. All was working out so far, but one thing needed to happen.
"It is good news to hear that you wish to offer us protection and we will do what we can to help you in return. However, Meng Huo is the true power of the Nanman. He controls far more land than I and many more soldiers. I do not suggest going to see him now though as word has it a death in his family has caused crazed acts to visitors" he stated, warning Guan Yu to not push his luck.
"I believe this is the man you have been speaking of."
From behind a few huts, Cheng Tong was dragged forth. It seemed the Nanman were more crafty than one would have thought. They had Cheng Tong the whole time and were trying to find out Guan Yu's true intentions. Tong is handed over to Yu for punishment or death. If Yu refuses than Tong may be handed over to Bob.
Guan Yu and Shu have fortified a friendship with a small village of the Nanman under control of King Sulu. The King and Bob can now be called upon for aid!

Guan's body had relaxed as the man dismissed the thought of hostility between the two. He was more than relieved and he patted the man on the back with his free hand as he was hugged by the King. When Sulu let go Guan took a step back and nodded to him with a smile. Guan was about to open his mouth to speak until he saw the man Cheng Tong being brought out.
Guan's eyes widened he lifted his Green Dragon slightly, ready to cut down the man that ambushed him and then attempted to flank him. Though, Guan's son had stepped in and reminded Guan of his "temper". Guan quickly sighed and closed his eyes smiling to Guan Xing and patting him on his back.
"You have grown fast Xing. Thank you King Sulu. Our friendship shall remain strong and Yun Nan will not fall as long as Shu has your aid. Meng Huo?.... Hmm... I see. I will save the visit to him for another time, but I hope that when I do go to see him that you will be with me King Sulu."
Guan looked to Cheng Tong for a moment and clenched his fist. His anger towards this man was clearly noticable, despite how he tried to calm himself.
"How I'd love to pass a judgement on this man. But my anger may make my brother seem like one who is bloodthirsty. I shall take him to Cheng Du and ask my lord what he wishes for me to do with him. King Sulu... my son, Guan Xing will be put in charge of Yun Nan along with my general Jian Yuan. I hope that you three work well together in my absence. I believe that the northern troubles have called for me to take my leave of this place. Though... the serenity of this land will be missed."
Guan said as he bowed to King Sulu and the tribe members as he moved towards Cheng Tong, delivering a hard blow to his stomach. Knocking the wind out of Cheng Tong and knocking him unconcious Guan mounted Red Hare with Cheng Tong laid across the saddle.
"Guan Xing. Return to Yun Nan and begin your temporary governing. Do not let any opposing force pass you and make it to this village. Jian Yuan and King Sulu will be there to assist you if it is necessary. King Sulu, I wish I could stay longer but I am afraid that I must leave."
And with that Guan Yu and Xing had rode off. Xing going straight back to Yun Nan, Yu however going north. To Cheng Du to meet with his brothers again and to deliver the Red Turbans leader to the Lord of Shu.
((Sorry for the Cheng Tong mod... Kinda in a rush))

Jian Yuan saw Master Guan Yu rode off with his captive, Cheng Tong. "It seems that Cheng Tong has been captured by Master Guan Yu....I should have kill that dog Cheng Tong myself if I have a chance..."Jian Yuan think as his left hand hold his shealthed sword. "But now I must protect Master Guan Xing, by order of Master Guan Yu..." Jian Yuan think as he gets up turn back to his men after the negotiation was successful. "All right, all of you return to your post in Yun Nan at once except both of you, sergeants." Jian Yuan said to his two sergeants as he look at them. "You two follow me to meet with Master Guan Xing in the village, and escorted him safely to Yun Nan later." Jian Yuan said to his sergeants as they walk together and the rest of the soldiers went back to Yun Nan.
As they enter the Nanman village, the Nanman tribes were curious as Jian Yuan and his two men enter, probably because they notice Jian Yuan's clothing different with his two sergeants who wear medium armor, Jian Yuan was wearing Wu Xia style clothing. As they approached towards Master Guan Xing, Jian Yuan immediately saluted along with his sergeants, "I'm Jian Yuan, Master Guan Xing, I was ordered by Master Guan Yu to assisted you in Yun Nan. And it is my honor to meet you too, King Sulu." Jian Yuan said to the King of Nanman tribes as he bow down to him. Although Nanman tribes are different from people of Han, Jian Yuan doesn't made any differences between Nanman tribes and Han people. He respected them, honor them because they are humans too, not barbarians or other things. Jian Yuan do this because he learned morality in School of Mo, during as a student of a Mohist.

"Of course Master Jian Yuan. Let us make our way back to Yun Nan."
Guan Xing said with a smile and a nod to Jian Yuan and the nanmen and rode back to Yun Nan.
((Sorry it so short))
