*still under construction*
A slaughter festival....that was all the description one would need to understand the carnage along the two front lines. The allied defenders were putting up an epic fight, surviving the most overwhelming odds to make it this far. On the other hand, the Horde kept pushing them back and it all started at Chang An. Now, the hopes of Chang An's populace and maybe even the rest of China lay in the hands of a chosen few guarding Qing Ni Pass.
Wei Yan was in heated combat with the Qiang Champion who, for the record, had displayed the true nature of barbarians with such brutal tactics. To wield the head of Lu Rai like a psychological weapon was smart, no doubt, but so low on many levels. Honor was obviously not their strong point, but some could argue there was no honor in war to begin with.
Sun Liao and Yu Xueman continued the battle in the center, fighting back against what at first was an endless ocean of enemies. The allies were still in a dire situation, but with the aid of Liao's cousin Sun Yuan Ci and that of Zhou Tai the battle seemed to be turning in their favor. None of the front line allies were aware though, that Ma Chao had gotten to the walls and was threatening victory for their side. All they had done would be for naught if Cao Mengde, the default leader it seemed, was slain by the Golden Horde ruler.
The Qiang King had lead troops into battle himself against the crafty Wu Sheng Tian, but it seemed his initial success would be dampered by allied reinforcements to the area. If that was not bad enough, it seemed there was a newcomer to the battle who had no sense of honor at all. Just the kinda person the Qiang were looking for in their ranks! Maybe after the King cut a few fingers or an ear off, he would offer Mint a position in his army.
Ruffian swords were falling to the ground like wet sacks of potatoes as Tian's blade carved a bloody path through their lines. The wake was like that of a speed boat ripping through the water, only the water in this case was blood.
The carnage was too much for the lowly soldiers to handle and they began to break! Militia axes were in small number too and their morale began to fall seeing their weak comrades routing.

Sun Liao.........."Ha ha!" Cheng Yi exclaimed, but right after being blocked his steed was chopped at and it sent him flying. He crashed down to the ground like so many did, after falling from their charging horse, but he was quick to get to his feet. Looking around for his sword, he picked it up and then grabbed a close shield.
"Kathy! That was my favorite horse you son of a motherless goat!"
Cheng Yi charged and slashed at Sun Liao multiple times. He was being blocked easily by his oppenent's shield and sword, but he too had the same combination of weapons. When Sun Liao struck back, Yi had to defend with his shield and the blows were sending horrific vibrations up his left arm. Using the recoil from one of Liao's attacks, Cheng Yi kicked outward and sent his foe reeling backward holding his abdomen.
"That was for Kathy, you scum!" Yi said, looking to his right to see his beloved horse.
The Horde officer charged again and attacked, this time being parried and countered. It sent him off balance and he stumbled a bit, but recovered soon after. The two had gone a few bouts and it seemed Cheng Yi had the upper hand.
By now many soldiers had formed a death ring around them and some enemies were even standing next to one another enjoying the break in combat.
Sun Liao raced forward to finish his opponent, having only attacked but a few times to his enemy's many. Also, Yi thought he was superior to the young warrior which anyone who knew the Unsung Hero would laugh at. The man had single-handedly turned the tide of battle along the beaches of Luo Yang and was also known for having cities handed over to him. Was he that charismatic? Yes, it made Cheng Yi sick to his stomach!
Yi brought up his shield and took multiple attacks, sending him backwards in a defensive stance. He was weathering the storm of a much younger opponent and if he was trying to wait for Liao to run out of strength it would not work.
The two were at a stalemate thus far, but surely that would not last.

Mint and Wu Sheng Tian.........."What the fu*kbeans? Some bastard is attacking us from behind! You and you, do something!" the King yelled to two nearby swordsmen. The two had no clue what to do and could not see the enemy, but they ran off to gather some others. Unfortunately, they were either cut down by arrows or Wu Sheng Tian's men who were rampaging.
The left side of the Horde line was where most of the action was. Both Qiang officers were killing the crap out of the allies there, but many of their troops were ruffians so the outcome did not look good. Even if they scored initial success from charges, flanking, and ambushing their men were not as hardy as the allied soldiers. Hell, Zhou Tai would be called the Butcher of Qing Ni as he mowed down Horde ruffians like Cao Cao mowed SSX's lawn.
The Militia lancers under the King were deep in combat, but he was able to pull forth 200 and rallied them before giving orders to kill Mint. They did not know who or where the cowardly enemy was attacking from, but they knew ranged warfare well and soon enough would locate them by the arrow attacks. They charged forth, leaving their comrades to fight the good fight and they rumbled toward the enemy unit in the darkness.
As they were closing in on the relative position of Mint, a lone rider approached from the shadows. He was out of breath, but did not seem in despair. The messenger informed the Qiang King of something that caused a smile to spread across his face. It seemed his plan was already underway, ahead of schedule.
"With me! We fall back to Chang An!"
The King surprised anyone and everyone who was in the area. Luckily he had rode a bit away from the front lines, but soon enough the soldiers would realize their leader was gone. He looked for his Champion, but knew most likely that the man was deep into battle. There was no turning off the Champion's kill mode and the king would usually only see him days after battle. The warrior's armor would be stained in blood and he would have satchels full of enemy heads!
It was no use though, to try and get him, so the king retreated. The total troops who were informed of the withdrawal outloud, then in secret, numbered around 1200 or so. 400 Militia lancers, 400 Qiang skirmishers, and 400 Qiang raiders were the soldiers taken from battle.

SSX, Aja Jex, Cao Cao, and Huang Zhong........Ma Chao was impressed by Sun Shang Xiang who had stepped in his path to block the slaying of her beloved Cao Cao. It was brave, but foolish. She may have had a chance to withdraw, but after attacking the Horde leader straight away her survival looked unlikely.
Mengqi was in a state of fury, but for him it was when his true combat skills surfaced as was the case with most warrior types. The stratigest types were cool, calm, and collected. However, the warriors were aggressive and daring; not afraid to rush into the enemy like their more cautious counter-parts.
SSX's attack was direct and to the 'point' as she was not about to let Mengqi take the life of her lover. They just had a demon baby together, so many years of joy still awaited them. Unfortunately, both parents would most likely leave the child alone in the cruel world after dying at the hands of Ma Chao.
The Horde leader quickly raised his spear horizontally to block the slash attack and immediately swung outward after contact between the weapons. Now, the strike hit the center or shaft of the spear as Chao held it with blade to his left and end to his right. The end was sent toward SSX's pretty little face and connected with a large thud. However, without missing a beat the young female warrior used the momentum of her turn after being hit.
Ma Chao jumped back, avoiding the sword as it cut horizontally across his abodomen. Seening an opening, he brought his spear down looking to trim SSX's arm off. She quickly retracted the blade though and Chao's weapon cut air before striking the wall; sending sparks flying.
SSX waisted no time and used the missed spear slash to send her sword jabbing outward. It was to no avail though as her opponent released his spear, pushing it upward slightly as he hopped backwards, and unsheathed his broad sword. All was done in one set of motions and he attacked with the undrawn sword immediately. SSX was forced back and by the time Chao's momentum from the swing had supsided, the famed spear landed in his left hand!
Both warriors faced off again and there was no doubt Ma Chao was impressed. Cheng Yi and Han Sui could not even best such a woman. Was Cao Cao that much of a pimp?
"I will offer you the chance to step aside! If not, you will fall here today!" he yelled, whipping the sword through the air with his right hand.
With Aja Jex and Huang Zhong also present, the Horde leader would be hard pressed to take all of them out. Cao Cao was in his grasp and then gone just like that. He was, the supposed Hero of Chaos, a sneaky little rat to Ma Chao.
Just as the two were to engage again, word came from behind Mengqi, from an elite, that the siege tower was about to collapse. An angry expression spread across the face of Chao as he comtemplated doing was he never did.........retreat. Had a woman forced him back, able to defend Cao Cao from such a powerful warrior?
"It seems today is your lucky day."Ma Chao sheathed his blade, able to do so because the main admin writes the story and anyone else would probably have been killed by 3-4 officers. He pointed his spear in the distance at the fleeing Cao Cao who was headed to the opposite side of the wall like a coward.
"Your head will be mind, Mengde!" he barked, gritting his teeth immediately after and then instantly darting for the wall.
In a similar manner to Sun Liao at Chang An, Captain Jack Mengqi would escape a difficult situation by using a little experience and, of course, a lot of luck. Or, was it luck? Maybe he planned things out the entire time!

Ma Chao jumped up on top of the wall and looked over to Huang Zhong. He was young and handsome, opposite of the old bird in front of him. However, he had respect for the old warrior and had heard many great things about him. A slight bow, then a smirk, followed his brief stop before he leaped from the wall to the siege tower!
In slow motion, Mengqi could be seen flying through the air before finally touching down and rolling to break his fall. He had jumped into the open hole along the side of the tower that had been ripped open by Cao Cao's trebuchet attack. It seemed his nemesis offered him an escape route, though the thank you would be in the form of a spear up Mengde's anal canal.
Many of Ma Chao's elites did the same, but some were left behind to their inevitable deaths. The tower started to shake, rattle, and roll around; ready to collapse at any time.
When the Horde leader re-mounted his steed, a messenger was seen making haste toward them. He was another elite with the dragon cavalry currently under Yan Xing and he had most terrible news.

Wei Yan.........Wei Yan struck forward, in his encounter with the Champion, and used the inner strength provided by Lu Rai to seek revenge. The Champion had kicked dirt into Yan's eyes, temporarily blinding him, so that the Qiang could harrass and taunt the enemy warrior; hoping to break him down emotionally before slaying him. The man was cruel, there was no doubt, and his tactics thus far were a display. Still, he was a good fighter and not scared of death.
The Champion smirked as Wei Yan charged, shield forward, and he braced for the attack. He raised his right sword up to block and readied the left to strike. What was not expected though, was the shield bash first. The Qiang was looking for a sword strike, so when the shield came forward with power he had to deflect it. However, hidden behind the initial attack of Wei Yan was his true assault!
Three sounds followed the charge of Wei Yan. One, the sword colliding with shield. Two, the slicing sound of a blade. Finally, another slicing of flesh.
The Qiang Champion looked into Wei Yan's eyes and laughed. He had finally met a worthy opponent and it made him happy for the remaining moments of his life. If he could spit the blood that was pouring from his mouth, into Yan's face, he would have but the strength to do anything was leaving his body.
During the attack, Wei Yan's hidden blade thrusted out and impaled the Champion through his torso. However, immediately after the left sword of the Qiang was jabbed into Yan's side and it piered through to his back. Luckily for the leader of Glory, the wound did not guarantee death but he would need medical aid soon.
The Qiang warrior fell backwards, dead.

SYC, Zhou Tai, and Zhang Ren...........Sun Yuan Ci, Zhou Tai, and Zhang Ren were all located in the same area of the battlefield. It would prove to be too much for the limited skill on that flank as ruffians were the majority. The twin swords were getting sliced like butter and Tai was the hot knife. Zhang Ren had moved to try and aid with taking out any ranged units and Yuan Ci mobilized his force against Yan Xing.
As soon as Zhang Ren could be seen breaking through the Horde lines near Zhou Tai, the ruffian archers broke apart. They started to scatter but at least some brave fighters started to fire at will, taking shots at the enemy before falling back to do so again. With them were Militia bows still, so they opened up on the enemy as well before being forced back.
On the right flank, Sun Yuan Ci faced off against Ma Chao's second in command. The problem was, SYC was forming up and not attacking while being attacked. Another volley from 500 dragon elite bows decimated the ranks of the enemy as they prepared for Xing's inevitable charge. However, as was stated prior the warrior was no fool and would not charge directly into a spear wall. No, he rolled out with his cavalry to pinpoint a weakness in the ally's lines or for the SYC's riders to engage.
"Sun Yuan Ci, it is an honor to be upon the battlefield with one such as yoursel. Unfortunately, words mean nothing, especially rumors of ones deeds, and actions mean everything! I shall see for myself if the Face of Inspiration is indeed worthy of my lord's blade!"
Yan Xing whipped his spear around with much skill and his elites all roared out behind him. They had halted, momentarily, to taunt SYC to action but would begin to move again shortly to keep the enemy missile units on their toes.
As soon as an opeing presented itself, or SYC's cavalry moved out, they would charge. The entire time all of that was happening, the ranged elites continued to pick apart the enemy until something was done about them.

Yu Xueman..........Yu Xueman charged Han Sui in the center of the battlefield, the most epic area of the war. Many had died and many would still die, but one of them would not be Han Sui!
Word was spreading quickly through the Horde lines that the Qiang had betrayed them. It had reached some of Han Sui's men but not him, just yet. He was preparing to assault a female warrior of the allies which he was still not totally confident in. It showed, as he stayed back when she issued her challenge.
"Hmmm, she seems very unlady like. A devil woman perhaps?" he pondered, trying to find excuses for the main admin to not have to duel like eight hundred people. Also, some of the officers were need for the next part of the story.
Anyway, Sui was trying to stall and decided to tell Xueman of the time he and Ma Teng raided a farm in Xi Liang. It was great fun! No? Hmmm.
Han Sui slashed his sword around, making it look intimidating and hoping the woman would back down. As she charged though, the lust for blood could be seen and Sui almost crapped himself.
As if the heavens were watching, or the story was being set up, a messenger arrived to tell Sui of the Qiang King's betrayal!
"That bastard, let us go get him..... Or, better yet, let us scout ahead!" the officer yelled, turning his back to Yu Xueman and retreating. Any of the soldiers in that area were shocked and morale started to plummet.
