One by one, another round of flaming boulders were sent sailing toward the walls. The previous attempts had ended mostly in failure, with 3 either hitting short or over the walls, but there was a successful hit against the left side of the gate and one into allied soldiers. If Liu Shan was still right out front the main gate he could be in trouble.
This time, however, the boulders connected with a solid thud against the walls. They sent pieces of fiery debris at any nearby soldiers and crumbled some of the wall. If a direct hit could be scored against the gate, when closed, it could be blown right off the hinges leaving the allies open to assault.
It seemed there was currently only one way onto the walls but it was going to have a short window of opportunity as allied soldiers moved to inflict damage upon it and the archers inside. Small fires had broken out inside from Aja Jex's attacks and more soldiers fell from the tower to their deaths. Still though, it was together and holding strong.
"Let loose, cover Tiny!" a captain yelled, letting loose an arrow that just missed Huang Zhong's face. The captain, for his cowardly and dishonorable attack, was caught in his own face by one of Aja Jex's crossbow men. Blood splattered upon some of the captain's men from the bolt and soon morale for the archers was dwindling. If that was not bad enough, it seemed Tiny had gotten himself into a tough situation. Had the captain's arrow hit, Tiny would have been standing over Huang Zhong's dead body before going rampage style on the walls.
Unfortunately for Tiny though, his mega attacks were powerful but slow. Even though Huang Zhong was around during the first Dynasties of China, he was a well trained warrior and had fought in many duels to the death. He was still alive, so there must be some skill present in that old body.
Tiny almost smooshed Zhong with a powerhouse move known as the Terminator. Normally, the big Qiang barbarian stands a giant Twinkie up and smashed it with his twin hammers. The creamy filling is sent into the air, being ejected from the Twinkie, and he catches it in his mouth!
"Yum...num!"
The big man was day dreaming a bit, thinking of the pure golden deliciousness. It seemed all things gold were good, especially the Horde who were issuing blank death certificates to the allies for them to fill out before being annihilated.
Tiny felt something warm though, running down his leg but it was not piss. Usually, out on the field of battle, if he had to go he would just do his deed right there. Many a time soldiers had noticed some poopy coming from his but as it does from a rhino, indeed Tiny was a beast if there was one. The problem was, it was blood!
"Huh?" he said, feeling a stinging sensation now.
Crimson was pouring from the back of his leg and soon the big man fell to one knee. The shockwave sent Huang Zhong back a few feet and also caused the Horde archers to spring into action.
"Move! Move!"
Archers jumped off the tower and started firing arrows at whoever was around. Aja Jex's crossbows were targeted as well as Zhong's if they were still present. A few of them may have been cut down immediately by Zhong but others held their arrows trained on him, just in case. Some of the archers moved to aid their comrade and duct taped one of his hammers around his fucked up leg!!
"Damn, duct tape is the shit" one of the archers said before getting cut down by an enemy missile.
There was silence as Huang Zhong dispatched another soldier of the Horde. The noise of the killing would have been heard but Tiny was sucking all the oxygen, sound, heat, and bugs into his mouth in one massive breath of pissed-off-ness.
"Grooooooaaaaaarrrrrrrr!!!!"
Tiny turned around with his new leg and smashed one of his own allies with the remaining hammer, sending the man flying off the wall. Qiang barbarians cared little for their allies, justice, or honor so killing a few here and there was acceptable.
The big man was back in action and he charged at Huang Zhong to finish their little fun time. He had one final move that would rip his enemy into halves! Charging forward, he began to shift his massive weight to the right. It was going to be a spinning attack and he intended on using his new hammer leg as the pivot foot.
Huang Zhong probably crapped his old guy diaper when he reaized the attack was mid height. The veteran rolled out of the other major attack, but was he really that keen and nimble in his old age......

The Qiang Champion was cutting allies down like blades of grass as they tried to flee back toward Qing Ni gate. It seemed some of the allies had grown their balls back and turned to engage the chasing Horde wich was a great sight. The Champion had not yet claimed the life of Wei Yan, though rumor had it the berserker had his eyes set on Ma Chao. If that was so he was a fool, indeed, as no one could take on Mengqi in single combat. Lu Bu himself would have been cut down in less than 50 bouts at Luo Yang and it took five allies to even force him back.
"Pathetic!" the Champion barked, he was pissed that the battle was not over yet. How dare the enemy actually turn around to face them, did they not know defeat was imminent?
Then, it happened.
From the Horde west, a unit under the command of Wu Sheng Tian moved in to flank the exposed soldiers giving chase to the allies. The Champion and the men ahead of the main Horde army were caught off guard and blindsided. The attack gave Wei Yan, Sun Liao, and Xu Yueman the perfect opportunity to turn the tide of battle. Well, at least for a few moments.
"Form up and defend!"
Ruffian horses were foolishly riding into the spear troops of Wei Yan and Sun Liao, showing their lowly class. They were all but worthless when under stress and in no formation. If they could not be settled soon, they would break!
Horde swords and axes clashed with Tian's troops as well as fought against the other allies but it was a hard fight. Trained mountain bowmen were present though, letting loose timed volleys into what they could see. Eshmunbaal was just in their view but disappeared so they sent arrows toward Xu Yueman and her soldiers. Just then an arrow caught one of them in the chest and it seemed the Carthaginian was not too far away after all.
Horde cavalry and mixed infantry fought desperately to fend off the multiple attacks against them, ironically putting them on the defensive after just giving chase with the upperhand.
It was at that point the situation for the allies would turn sour yet again.
Cheng Yi could see what was happening up ahead as many a torch were present amongst the Horde up ahead and his own units. He ordered his archers to prepare a fire volley into the mass of allies in the center, near the gate. Mortiss, Liu Shan if still present, and others would be struck if in the way. Most likely the remnants of or the rear of soldiers under Yan, Liao, and Xueman were present.
Following this attack would be an onslaught of around 1000 mace/axe soldiers under the command of Han Sui who had just heard the commotion breaking out on the left flank. Wu Sheng Tian had skill, but Sui would have numbers on his side. Only time would tell what the outcome would be.
Fire arrows raced through the sky, lighting up the surrounding landscape, as the volley from Cheng Yi went up and then down into allied lines. Immediately after, a war horn could be heard and then the rumbling of a thousand men. The ruffians were let loose!
The entire group moved toward the left flank and would engulf Tian's entire army like an ocean of maces and axes breaking over a solid rock. Just like the rock, Tian's men would stand firm. However, with so many against them it would be a difficult fight.
Swords on that side were in such quantity now, they were able to wrap around the outer flank of Wu Sheng Tian if he let it happen. The counter attack though, was far from over.

"Good riddance."Ma Chao watched as the green banners of Shu were heading south the leave the field of battle. It seemed Liu Shan also had little want to return to the ever so glorious kingdom of Liu Bei. One would have to wonder if it were really true, what the people said of the Imperial Uncle. With Xing Cai's betrayal, Liu Shan's rebelling, and Zhang Fei acting as diplomat it seemed Shu was in for some rough times. Not only that, but Guan Yu had betrayed his good friend Wei Yan who was waiting for his arrival.
Something deep within Mengqi was stirring though. Maybe seeing Xing Cai's father, a figure that was now void in the young leader's life, and the situation unfold before him caused some changing of heart. He had foreseen a few of the events which were playing out like a well written story, but that was when he was not caught up in an epic battle and worrying about his sexy lady. However, his mind was now made up.
Ma Chao kept his head down, staring at the shaft of his mighty spear. Was this all he could provide for her? A warrior who lived on the battlefield could not give such a woman what she needed. He looked sad, but would never cry and certainly not in front of his army. So long he had gone without the touch of a woman or the affection he desired. There did not seem to be an end in sight for the chaos and due to it they could never be together. Maybe she would look back later and understand what he was doing.
A war horn echoed out in the background as he approached Xing Cai who was riding back from meeting with Zhang Fei.
"Go, you can not be amongst this chaos! Your father is looking out for your safety and so must I" he said looking into the young goddess' eyes. He would have loved to fight alongside her, but if she fell in combat he could turn uncontrollable and would surely lose the battle.
It was quite clear now, to the young leader, that not only was the Golden Horde in danger by Xing Cai's presence but also the Kingdom of Shu. She was clouding his judgement and it was as Han Sui had feared earlier. Although many things would be said later, of Shu's part, Ma Chao denied their aid due to not wanting the other lords to turn against the Imperial Uncle. Mengqi did not see eye to eye with Xuande's ways or choices, but he knew the man was virtuous and had the talent that could unify the land.
That was, if the Golden Horde did not do it first!
"I am sorry."Mengqi rode over to Xing Cai upon his white war horse. Both of them had a torch in one of their hands so Chao reached out with his open hand. The pitch black of night made the two light up like angels due to the fire light. The young lord leaned in and kissed Xing Cai for the first time since meeting at Xi Liang. His eyes were closed but soon they opened to catch her gaze as well.
Unfortunately, while Cai was probably mesmerized by Ma Chao's incredible kissing tecniques, the golden robe was removed from her neck!
"You must leave, please i beg you!" he commanded as her current leader and lover.
Immediately after shutting Xing Cai down for the second time, Ma Chao roared out a battle cry that would have shaken the surround earth. He was caught in a cage of emotion and could not escape!

"CHARGE!! I want Cao Mengde's head on a pike by this morning!"Mengqi urged his steed forward and it rose up, flailing its front hooves as it would do to pwn Wei Yan in the face, and it gave a powerful neigh before moving north. The entire group of his Dragon Elites, who were 800 strong, heard the command and prepared to be the downfall for the allies. With them was the Qiang King and he too began to move out.
The quaking ground could be felt by Yan Xing who was holding up the center and he knew it was time.
"Prepare to march!" he yelled, awaiting his lord to catch up and give more detailed orders. With Xing were 1000 Ruffian twin swords, 600 or so Militia spears, and 500 Militia sword/shield men. They were ready to tear the enemy apart and soon they would get the call.
With Cheng Yi moving to aid the left flank against Wu Sheng Tian and the Qiang Champion in the center it would seem the right flank was open. That, was where a tidal wave of death would roll in on the allied forces.
Orders were given to the Qiang King to take Militia lancers as well as the 500 Militia swords to roll out on the left flank, finishing off Tian and his night raid. Ma Chao himself, along with Yan Xing, would move to the right with dragon elites and the Militia spears. The 1000 ruffian twin swords dashed ahead, given the order to charge and they would fall in with Cheng Yi's units. Instead of going left with the 1000 mace/axe, they would barrel straight up the middle toward Wei Yan, Sun Liao, and Yu Xueman.
It was an all out assault and before many of the units collided another round of siege attacks would commence. If the allies were going to make a stand, it would have to be now. Something major would have to happen or the outside forces were going to get pincered and crushed!
The Golden Horde formation spread its wings like a powerful dragon. The allies out front of the gate would be devoured and then any weaklings hiding behind would be exterminated!
