Sio The Dragon King Wake Me Up
I can't believe I couldn't see! I've been sleeping a thousand years it seems! Without a voice! Without a soul! You've been following me forever! Save me! Call my name, save me from the darkness! Oh Night Mother. Oh my love, oh my truth! Rescue me from death!
Sio and his troops marched, archers and swordsmen. They traveled across the land, praising the Night Mother and taking the roads of darkness, when they arrived upon Ling Ling, it was sunny and the chirping of a thousand ugly birds could be heard. Sio and the soldiers marched through, camping upon the border of Ling Ling, waiting for Nevar to gather his own troops. Then together, they would travel upon the very walls of Ling Ling, together. Morag Tong and Dark Brotherhood alike.
"Me Hung Big."
Sio merely grunted as his troops were commanded into two formations, when Nevar arrived and they began setting towards Ling Ling. His troops were set as followed. Their morale was high and they were overjoyed, the Dark Brotherhood would be reborn!

Illith’s forces immobilised upon the plains of Ling Ling, the encampment in which Sio waited having only been upon the ridge just out from the Ling Ling region. There soldiers would wait for orders, and then display such orders on the fields of battle, fighting against one mister Me Hung Big.
A strange name if ever you had heard one.
Nevar didn’t mind though, his forces approached the rear of the camp, and they exchanged simple words to the man they would fall into line with, Sio. A man who had done many great deeds for the Dark Brotherhood, but maybe not so many as he himself had achieved in his more – younger days.
With the simple formalities over with, and the two armies now within a simple formation, they began their descend to the cities beyond – where blood would await them, and where death in its purest form would welcome them.
It was then a day of celebration for these soldiers, for they preferred nothing better but to slay, but to kill the enemies of their masters – and whether they died or not seemed irrelevant now – for battle awaited them. And they must win, if not for the sake of their brothers and sisters, but then for the sake of the Night Mother herself.
“Rally Men!” Illith’s cries were heard upon the dampening thoughts passing through them, and the city walls slowly filled their entire village, they had an idea of the bombardments that awaited them, and gracefully, Illith called out to them – his voice dark, and his mood set only to kill.
“Come face us like men, on the fields of battle. Or must you hide and weep behind the city walls, waiting – praying that my men never reach you. Have you no decency, or would you rather watch as your entire village becomes engulfed within the darkness we will bring!”
The man’s rage was only the first sign of his hatred, the second was his battle preparations, even for an assassin – a darker force seemed present, informing all that these men were NOT to be underestimated.
The positions in which his men took where as followed:
100 Militia with Spear and Shield adorned the front, with 200 Ruffian Sword and Shield on both the right flank, and then 200 more on the left flank. Archers swarmed the middle, where the ridge they waited on positioned them slightly higher from the rest of their army, and to the far right, beyond enemy fire waited the cavalry – just waiting to tear through the enemies ranks with a foul, sweeping blow.
“Face me!” Illith screamed, and his blades slithered from his gauntlets, “Or are you simply too afraid!”
Summary : I’m on the edge of Ling Ling, just out of the range of archers, although a few wind guided arrows might be able to hit the front, but it’s unlikely. Illith Nevar is also challenging for the city to grace them with a field battle, I’ve also placed the formation in italics for easy distinction.

Me Hung Big had long since been expecting an attack during this troubled time so he was more than prepared for battle when enemy troops had been spotted by scouts he had placed hidden in the forest along the border of the city. Troops had already left in the night to the outside of the city on a secret mission some 200 ruffian swordsmen and 150 ruffian spearmen.
The rest of his troops he had gathered together and had seperated them between two groups of equal troops. One which he lead and another which Huang Zhao, his trusty advisor, lead. Both groups had 300 ruffian swordsmen, 125 ruffian spearmen and 200 ruffian bowmen. Me Hung Big took his group to the north while Huang Zhao to the east.
Me Hung Big listened to the enemies challenging him to come out and he just laughed outloud. While he ascended the stairs to the walls his troops were getting into formation. the ruffian bowmen along the walls with the ruffian swordsmen and the ruffian spearmen behind the swordsmen 3 feet away from the entrance of the gates. Down to the east gate Huang Zhao was getting his troops in exactly the same position. Me Hung big when finished ascending the stairs adressed the foes outside the city/
"Are you foolish enough to think we would come out their and waste our time in combat with you! You are nothing more than lambs to the slaughter yet you fail to even realise it. A battle is fought by more than just weapons and you shall soon learn it the hard way. Retreat now and you shall live, stay and you shall die! Now begone you useless lowlives. The stench of you alone is unbearable let alone your ugly faces so we would prefer it if you leave. We'd rather not have to spend the rest of our lives getting a good clean in the bath to get rid of the stench."
With that said he descended the stairs and had the swordsmen brace the gate and enforce it with extra wood nailed to it. He saw no siege weapons among the enemy lines when he addressed them but it was better to be safe than sorry. He dispatched a messenger to the east gate to tell Huang Zhao to do the same.
(Map update and the rest of that crap in the next post so please be patient for two more minutes.)

Sio realizing that there was no way they could break through walls and gates with their men, pulls back some out of the archer ranger, his troops station themselves near Nevar's. The Brothers are ready for battle, but they need someway to enter the city, Sio sends a messenger to Nevar and the question is as follows:
Nevar, the city is intact and the soldiers refuse to come out. We have no seige weapons, what do you suggest? It's stupidity to charge the walls with our troops and have arrows rained from above.
Sio waited patiently, his eyes watching the forest nearby and ready to go over there and chop some trees down for better uses. The only problem is, why would a man like Me Hung Big, would leave such trees defenseless? I mean afterall, Me Hung Big is no idiot, Me Hung Big seemed pretty smart. He hadn't left the walls, like a idiot and Me Hung Big refused to risk his life for a city by coming outside. Me Hung Big was quite small bravewise.
*Would post more, but i'm in a rush :X sorry.

Dagoth gazed at the foundations built – it’s walls growing taller the longer his tired eyes peered over the horizon. The answer his men silently asked for, and that of Sio was soon to come.
“Men!” he spoke coldly, his eyes forcing open as he gleamed hungrily at the men just waiting to die, “The forest is where we will go, a messenger has already been deployed and our reinforcements with siege weapons will arrive soon, inform Sio that he is to follow my unit to the edge of the forest, we will set up camp there, and use the stock provided by the Night Mother to build ourselves some ladders. Keep them long, and sharp. The matter of if we use them is yet to be decided.”
And so the men rushed to their posts, marching north to the forests in a slow manner – word had received Sio by now of the plans, and both armies were to move north to settle their scores once and for all.
Meanwhile, a messenger had arrived on the edge of Chang Sha, notes and passages being given to and fro, it seemed he had left before the battle had even began, and the Siege weapons were now being transported by a huge flock of soldiers under the direct order of the cities minister himself.
Among those men were horsemen, bowmen and swordsmen – but the enemies’ scouts would only calculate their numbers once they pushed along the Ling Ling border.
It seemed, that the battle was just getting started, and the longer the fools waited – the better, death was a silent weapon, swift and agile, and a lot of the time death did not take their victims quickly, but more, slowly – and painfully.
Reinforcements should arrive on my next post, assuming the battle mod agrees, meanwhile sio and Nevar will be marching north and building ladders with the treets on the edge.

An archer from atop of the walls had spotted the retreating forces of the invading army to the north of the forest and at once he informed the commander about which to his surprise the commander, Me Hung Big actually smiled and let out a little laugh as he begun to ascend to the top of the walls to watch.
"Perfect. Everything is in place. Now is the perfect time. Now all troops i want you to let out a loud war cry! As loud as you possibly can all at the sametime. " He noticied the troops seemed a little confused about the order but he went on speaking "You need not worry, trust me and follow the order. You will soon see why. On the count of 3, ready? 1...2...3"
As soon as he said the word 3 all his soldiers at the northgate burstout into a loud war cry all at the same time. The noise travelled far out of the city to the forest and became increasingly louder as the soldiers at the east gate joined in. With the signal now done Me Hung Big only had to hope that the troops hidden in the forest had heard the distance sound of it. To make sure however he bade archers to fire arrows high up into the sky over the forrest as a secondary signal.
In the forest the soldiers heard a distant noise but could not make out what it was until they saw arrows through the gaps in the trees in the sky above that they realised it was a signal. The Ambush captain Ging Jizhou at once rallied the 200 ruffian swordsmen and the 150 ruffian spearmen and charged out of the forrest and straight into the ranks of Illith Nevar's unit just as it reached level to their position.
( Ambush party (secret troops) revealed from forrest and are attack Illith Nevar from behind who loses 75 troops of his choice(since i'm so generous) and his forces morale drops one place/ His unit is also throw into confusion at the rear. Map update in the next post. )

Sio understood Nevar and followed afterwards, heading towards the forest and keeping an eye for his friend. These monkeys, the people of Ling Ling started roaring and then an ambush appeared. Sio sent forth a medium group of his swordsmen to help aid Nevar and kept the rest nearby, heading to the rear of Nevar's troops and trying to calm them, they were panicing. "Relax, the Dark Brotherhood will relieve you. Go, go aid your father Nevar, he is in deep battle with an ambush. Do not let him spill blood by himself!"
Sio sends 200 Swordsmen with shields to aid Nevar at the front of his army and then goes to the rear of Nevar's army to calm them. His troops stay relaxed.

An ambush?
“Men, fear not – their lives are already finished, push back the assault, you know we suspected it.” But was his words justified?
His army had suspected so, for their movements proved it. The enemy had surged towards them through the tree’s, and the enemies cries had done nothing more but to lock their shields together, waiting – hoping for such an opening as this to strike.
The men launched out, but swords and shields reflected their blows, the cavalry turned upon their right flank, deeper into the forest and swarmed them with their crashing momentum as if a tidal wave had just utterly smothered the enemy ranks. They would be dead soon sure enough, but without little sacrifice.
Illith Nevar’s own blades acted as repellents, and as his cries for vengeance were heard – the sounding stampede of hooves and wood were sounded, for upon the northern horizon, past enemy lines shot two large stones, catapults they looked like, perched upon wooden slabs that protected them from falling. Adorning the entire perimeter of these catapults was an army nearly two times as big as his own – and silently, Illith watched in awe as the spirits returned to him.
These pests will die! He had thought, but with little evidence to prove it, “Tell Sio to move to the northern ridge, stay out of their line of fire, we will remove this threat.” And his army moved on.
2 Catapults along with 500 Ruffian Sword and Shield and 500 Ruffian Horse Spear and Shield arrive at the northern ridge *north side of the map*
Alencon Edit - Chill the fuck out with the insults - got a problem, PM it respectfully to a mod. Otherwise I'm not gonna take you seriously. Either way, get on with the battle. You took a few losses - big deal. I've said it once, I'll say it again - take it as a challenge, and fight on.

(In future if you have complaints about the battle how about you just send it in PM's and we discuss your problems and sort them out in a more of a friendly manner there. Save a lot of hassle in the long run and you will also be listened to.)
The Spear soldiers in the ambush aim their spears right at the men on the horse with their spears as they charged and some 50 or so perished while 75 Spearmen and 92 Swordsmen for the defending forces perished also. Despite the losses taken however Ging Ji Zhou told his forces to press forward into the ranks of the enemy and slay as many as they possibly could.
The sounds of the outbreak of battle could be heard to the very city of Ling Ling itself and Me Hung Big laughed allowed with joy at the success of the ambush. True as it was that the ambush party would be unlikely to survive however it would cause a decrease in his opponents morale aswell as begin to tire his enemies out before the battle had even begun. Now he just waited and watched in the distance ready for the return of the enemy forces who would no doubt return for battle but with siege equipment this time. Which he was more than prepared for.
(Map and such is updated in the next post)
EDIT: Corrected a mistake in the italics code. missed out the / to end it.

I think, what we may end up doing is offering an Auto-Simulate option for any kingdom wishing to attack a Non-Player controlled city.
Keep in mind, if you have NO SIEGE you will not even be able to win. Also, do NOT expect low casualties as the choice to not wait and fight will result in higher losses. Assume the fight would be more computer controlled as opposed to player controlled where they can limit who or what is engaged.
Therefore, i will offer Morag Tong that choice here. If you choose to continue the battle, so be it.
