Humble... That's good, thougth Wei Yan as he listened to the general speak. After a moment though the questions were back on him and for a moment, the mighty Wei Yan was at a loss for words. So, he took a moment in silence and looked the warrior over, thinking to himself.
"My friend Lu Rai and myself are going to Chang An to set up a home there. Infact, our men are already there, working on the city to better it. I believe you are correct in thinking that the darkness has only gotten darker, so I believe I'll be making ready for war. The Morag Tong has already taken up resident in my lovely Chang Sha in my absence, and I'm undermanned to retake it. So for now, I'm making ready. When the time comes that a warlord needs my assistance, I hope he has a valiant cause for I won't be leaving my home undefended again."
The warrior took a moment to let all he had said sink in before continuing.
"As for you, Sun Yuan Ci. You are the cousin of a great general, Sun Liao, and in your own right quite a humble warrior. Whenever you are in need of assistance, seek me out in Chang An, I will gladly join your cause." he paused looking back at Lu Rai, "And with me comes that lout." joked the warrior as he pointed over at Lu Rai.

Meng was amazed to see the many citizens who gathered around the city of Luo Yang, in celebration, of the great battle which was just fought between the Allied forces and Dong Zhou. The fight wss grueling, but yet satisfying to the fact that they where actually succusfull. Screams of cheer could be heard all throughout the city, some citizens where cheering on the walls, numbered in the hundreads and more where station at the entance of the city. It was a long line of people, on the left and right making a path for the Participants in the battle.
Meng troted in slowly on his brown steed. Meng had to shine up his amour special for this celebration, though Meng was not the to go out much for parties, as Meng passed the large city gates, more citizens where station on his left and right cheering them on. Meng just slightly waved to them and smiled, to show his appretiation for the time of being here, the woman where espicaly fond of Meng, apparently his 6 0'clock shadow and tired look made the women started fodeling there selves more as he started as them with a gazed look, and poked his lips, to somewhat teazed them, knowing there is know way for them to actually have a relationship with him, though he wouldn't mind spending one evening with theman all drink and just to have a good time.
After leaving the scenery, he entered the buidling where the banquet was being held at, the huge amount of stairs, made Meng somewhat fusturated that he had to go to all of this trouble just to get some food. Meng dismounted his steed and ran up stairs just to get it over with, as he reached the top, he was kinda sweaty and out of breath, but it was all worth it, turning to see the massive amount of food, made him feel good. Meng then quickly made his plate and got his drinks, sat down and chomped down.

At Yuan Shao's thinly-veiled barbs, Qu Yi tried once again to make an angry retort, but was this time cut off by the lady. As Qu Yi quietly fumed to himself, Zhang He did a double-take. Repeated attempts to discover the lady's name during the battle had failed, yet she just gave it freely upon first meeting Yuan Shao? Did Junyi detect some chemistry between his lord and his battle-mate? He certainly hoped not. Although he meant it when he said Yuan Shao was beautiful, Junyi was referring more to his nobility than his physical attractiveness. Certainly a flower like...Xifeng, was it? Yes, Xifeng deserved someone...at least closer to her in age.
"My lord is sparing no eloquence for you, m'la...Xifeng," he interjected, placing intentional emphasis on the title his master had just shed, "But perhaps my lord would prefer to hear some tales of our glorious exploits. I must say, the lady Xifeng's timing on the river was most beautiful..."
As Junyi tried to interrupt what he saw as shameless (and therefore unsightly) flirting on his lord's part, Qu Yi gave up trying to involve himself in the conversation, and turned his attention to the newcomer.
"So, you must be Zhang Fei. I heard our beloved flower boy here saved your ass from-Ack!" Qu was interrupted as Zhang He, without even turning to look in his direction, slapped the back of his head. Qu Yi mumbled angrily for a moment, then continued, "From some giant blob. You don't actually expect me to believe that, do you? Zhang He couldn't even save his nails..." This time he ducked the slap, but fell victim to the subsequent kick ot the shin. He glared angrily at Junyi, who payed no attention, and turned back to Zhang Fei, hopping indignantly on his uninjured leg.

Her name had slipped out of her mouth before she even realized it. Curses, this is why she didn't do parties, too many variables. She had wanted to go into and outof the fighting withoout really being recognized. It made things so much easier that way. After all, many warriors didn't take to well to being beaten and showed up by a woman. She didn't frown, remaining neutral even as she mentally smacked herself.
The Compliments were nice, and she dipped her head in agknowlagment to them before Zhang He joined the conversation, saving her from having to reply. That wouldn't of gone too good really. She was more warrior than anything else, unless she felt the need to seduce someone. Then she could turn on the charm! Calling someone My Lord wasn't part of that charm, it was just easier to adress people that way. Also, it had a sort of detachment to it, unlike names. Names like Yuan Shao.
As Zhang He continued, she stopped him once to interject before he could get to the part about Lu Bu. His 2ed most likely wouldn't be too happy about having that brought back up. "Your giving me too much credit. I only came to help defeat the Intolerable Tyrant." She said with a slight smile. The purple clad man was so Animated...

Shao smiled at the modesty of the young warrior. He realized then that his comments had appeared somewhat flirty, and perhaps only cause he did not allow himself to finish; hoping to keep a suave persona before him and the possible recruit. A suave man would be drinking slowly from a gord of wine, though Shao. He was not that man, to the dismay of many at the party, anymore. He leaned up against the table, taking the conversation down a bit (for Shao was a laid back sort of man). Resting his wooden cup of water upon the table, he spoke calmly to his comrades, "So have we. But even so, not out of loyalty but because it is the right thing to do. My sword (shao motioned) rests at the throne waiting for the next man, or woman, to step in line. This is but my ambition, for there is no morality in it, for there is no one certain being to receive it. It was in battle and will be left hear as a reminder of the pains of war... We all came prepared to kill Zhuo, but our blades found the young men he managed to draw around him..."
The Yuan gazed looked down and gazed at his hands and spoke a bit softer, "I can still feel their blood, and I can still feel Zhuo's heartbeat within my grasp. We will probably never be able to shew such things away from the corner of our minds... the next Emperor will most likely won't have the images that plague my mind, but maybe my sword will speak to him at night and pass on the foolishness of evil..."
Shao laughed and raised up with a smile, "Rambling again. If you do not mind me asking, what region are you from miss Xifeng?"
In the background Chunyu Qiong slapped what he thought to be a beautiful woman's bottom. Lo and behold, it was Qu Yi's. The aid to Yuan Shao laughed, as he spoke up in his drunken slur, "Haaha, i wish'd youadn't turned around, i thought u tobe er motha." And with that Chunyu fell upon Qu Yi, splashing his wine all over his fellow 'comrade' and passing out for just a second.

Qu Yi's face was a mask of disgust as he shifted slightly and tried to shrug Yuan Shao's intoxicated captain from his shoulder. He despised Chunyu almost as much as he despised the favor and tolerance Yuan showed him despite, or in spite of, Qu's obviously greater talent.
"Get off of me, drunkard! Where the hell were you during the fighting? Drinking, I bet. That's all you're good for..." he growled, then turned back to Zhang Fei, trying to ignore Chunyu's antics. "Sorry about the idiot. Seems Lord Shao like 'em weird." He threw a sidelong glance at Zhang He, who didn't appear to hear him. No sooner did he look away, though, did a hand shoot out and chastise Qu Yi yet again.

The victory banquet for the successful defeat of Dong Zhuo was well underway when a soldier upon the ramparts noticed a group approaching from the west. Most, if not all, the officers who had partaken in the war were either already present at Luo Yang or streaming in from the south where the actual conflict occurred. Therefore, it was odd that soldiers appeared to the west bearing golden banners.
What was not odd, however, was that fact that Ma Chao, the Defender of Xi Liang, and leader of the Golden Horde, was at the head of the group.
The young warrior had only hatred for the Fat Man so he wished to see the caged beast himself. Zhuo had destroyed all that his father had lived to protect, though Mengqi's own opinion would differ from that of Ma Teng, and had ushered the land back into chaos. Not since the Yellow Turban Rebellion were commoners so stirred to act out against their leaders or rulers.
Ma Chao, himself, was caught up in recent skirmished around Xi Liang against multiple rebel groups. It was the main reason for his absence during the allied assault, though it was probably better for them that he was not present. After all, Mengqi was known to be quite the warrior and leader as well as retaining the title 'The Splendid'. Surely, he would have been the one to carve a bloody path to victory instead of warrior like Zhang He and Wei Yan.
The Horde's banners blew violently in the wind as the all cavalry group rode hard toward the main gates. They finally arrived and were welcomed by the guards after a brief greeting.
Riding through the city, looking all magnificent and what not, Ma Chao was greeted as one of the heroes against Dong Zhuo. He just sneered at the civilians who yelled out to him, jealous that he did not gain fame nor glory on the battlefield. At least, not in the Central Plains.
Dismounting his horse, the young leader made a face akin to: "I should have brought supplies" while looking up the infinite number of stairs. His personal escort, of two elite guards, began the long journey to the banquet with him.
Mengqi's armor was glorious, to say the least, and it glistened like a baby's freshly washed ass while he ascended the stairs. He looked to his right and ordered one of his guards to conceal a dagger that he handed to him. Instructions were given quickly, before they reached the top, just in case.
The two guards nodded to Ma Chao as he walked by and entered the palace. Ahead, there was a huge table with all the foods available in the known world as well as a wine list that would make Yuan Shao beg to become a permanent resident. Actually, by the sight which Chao caught briefly, it looked as if Benchu had his eye on the throne.
It was quite the gathering of heroes, but Ma Chao was not all that impressed. He looked at the famed Wei Yan and raised an eyebrow akin to: "Hmph, pwn festival". He scanned the room and saw the great Lu Meng, but even the southern warrior could not get much respect at the moment from Chao.
The leader wanted to sigh, out loud, but he supposed maybe after a few glasses of wine things would liven up.

The Hour Beforehand
Brushing her hair to the side of her face in a fringe like motion, Xing Cai stared deeply into the mirror. She was invited to this feast, there were so many things wrong with that. She was a nobody first and foremost, despite being the daughter of Zhang Fei. Second, she hardly helped with the battle, despite capturing Wang Yun. But that was mostly Lu Meng's work...Her eyes trailed down the mirror, which in turn trailed back down her own body. She was young, and would most likely be the objective of many men's attentions. She knew nothing of love or relationships, and in turn would not be prepared from anything like that. The closest man to her was Gao Jin, and he was much more of a protective sibling as opposed to a lover. She had never had proper affection from a man, she knew Zhang Fei loved her, but he was often drunk and showed some reluctance to get all sentimental.
"My lady, we should get going." Gao Jin entered, his armour cleaned, his spear hanging along his back. Xing Cai turned slowly, nodding to Gao Jin, she straightened her robe and left.
The Feast
Even from a distance, the noises from the feast hall could be heard. Outside, troops and banners hung high, banners of people Xing Cai had only ever heard of, never had the honour of meeting. Yuan Shao, Wu, Wei...Such powerful foundations with leaders to boot. Sighing, Xing Cai jumped off her steed, leaving Furious Angel on the stallion. She gave the steed a soft pat before entering the hall. Xing Cai's objective was to remain somewhat more subtle, and only really converse if someone else spoke to her first. Seeing her father already getting into the grog, she decided to move away from him. Grabbing herself a lone seat, Gao Jin following, she was quickly offered a wine by a servant, shaking her head to the offer of alcohol, she merely only ate small portions of food. Gao Jin could sense her discomfort and decided not to mention it.

Standing there Xiaoli Qing looked at the stairs for a moment and sighed slightly to herself. Her body guard looked over at her for a moment and laughed. "It won't be that bad after all it's just a party" he said giving another glance over at her. "Well I fully realize that" she said brushing herself off "parties like that aren't always that entertaining though" she said looking down at her clothing. Her father had demanded sense he was sending Qing to this party that she dress up for it.
Her long hair was up and had flower like decorations holding it up, they were red and all made out of glass. Qing's dress of course was a red color that fit perfectly on her. Of course she had worn flat shoes and looking at those stairs she was happy she did. Her bodyguard looked over at her and smirked slightly "you look nice". "Don't remind me" she said giving a glare his way before she started to walk up the stairs.
As she walked up the stairs Qing did not appear to be having any problems with them even if she was all dressed up. As they reached the top she looked over at the bodyguard "now how long do I have to stay here for?". "Long enough to visit with some of the other people hear and to have a good time" he said giving her a small smile. Rolling her eyes she looked at him "your just saying that" she mumbled as she made it to the last step. As she waited for her body guard he followed her up pretty quickly and she rested her hands on her hips.
"Any idea who anyone is here?" she said looking threw the entrance at the people wandering around the banquet. "Nope, that's the point of us coming here" he said looking at her as she stood there. Reaching over he gave her a small shove into the room and it being unexpected she was a little taken back by it. Looking around the room she was not entirely sure why she had decided to come to the banquet. Looking back at her body guard he was of course catching up to her he had to just move threw all the crowds.
Grabbing a glass of wine she stood there sipping it looking around the room for a minute. Some heads turned to look at the new coming lady that had just gotten shoved into the party. Of course Qing brushed it off like it was nothing, no need to make a fool of herself. Certainly not in front of a bunch of people that she had no idea who they were. She hated making a fool of herself in front of people she did not know...or anyone for that matter.
Her dark eyes scanned the room for anyone that seemed like they were a interesting character in the room but she was not really sure what to think of the banquet in general. At least her men hadn't come, or they would of ended up making fools of themselves and of her. It wasn't that she could not control them it was just that they were big fans of alcohol which made them more irresponsible then usual. Of course she guessed she couldn't expect much from men who were of course pirates. For the moment Qing just felt like she should stand there and see if anyone approached her.

VictoriousZhang Ren, Liu Pi, and four of Ren's Elite swordsmen made their way through the streets of Luo Yang. They were here as victors, but looked nothing of the sort. They were not cheered for. Even some people had looks of recognition pass over their faces, and they turned away. Possibly for the local authorities, possibly just to run away.
Hero, Ren was not.
The small group of men found the palace steps.
A look of despair passed over Ren's face. He looked over to Pi. "Are you fucking kidding? People actually use these things... There's gotta be an elevator or something around here." Ren looked around hoping he would actually see something that wouldn't exist for hundreds of years yet.
Liu Pi just shrugged. "Hey, everyone else has had to walk up them. We will too." Pi finished speaking as Ren popped a thin mint into his mouth. Liu stuck his hand out for one, and Ren dropped one into his hand. Pi put it in his mouth and the six men made for the stairs.
Zhang Ren grudgingly began the epic trek up the stairs... ******** A short while later, at the top of the stairs, Ren issued orders to his men to stand guard. He and Pi went inside. At first notice it seemed to Ren that quite a few of the allies had arrived. What stood out most to Ren though, was the absence of He Jin, and an empty throne. It briefly flashed through Ren's mind that perhaps he should sit upon the throne. The problem was that he would have no support. Even then it wasn't a serious thought.
What did catch his attention without break was the presence of one man. Ren knew he wasn't involved in the fighting. But Ren knew who he was.Ma Chao. Son of Ma Teng. Mengqi the Splendid. Ren knew th man well. During an insurrection In the Xi Liang region, where Ren managed to get his horse, Ma Chao had been sent to quell a simple uprising. Ren had been hired by the locals. In the end it turned out to be a waste of time. But what Ren remembered was how easily MA Chao had ruined his men. Ren had had to start over that day. Ren lost many friends. Ren wouldn't forgive the man.
So, Liu Pi in tow, Zhang Ren made his way for Ma Chao...

The banquet seem to liven up a bit, as more and more Generals began to step in the palace, food was being serve almost every second, the great Generals sure had an excellent appatite. Meng quickly finished his plate of food containing beef, fish, Vegetables and Rice, which was pleasently good, considering he was being served by the Luo Yang Servants. He hadn't had such a good meal in a while, considering his long travels and always eatings in Inn's. All that could be seen on the plate was a few grains of rice and a couple of fish bones.
Meng had only a glass of wine, just not to get too drunk so early in the banquet. Saying something like that to the great Zhang Fei would very much insult, considering his reputation of not being able not to hold his drink. Meng was surely to get another glass of wine soon enough, if the party at least started to get more excited, or even with some live entertainment.
Getting up from his seat, Meng yawn and scrached his belly, to some this would look very disrespectfull, and in a dis-manerly fashion but Meng didn't care much, its not like there was anyone staring or even looking at him, at the moment. As Meng scowled through the room, he sees many generals grouped together such as the two warroirs that made a major impact in Dong Zhou battle, these men where Zhang He and Wei Yan, both had their own unique way of fighting, but still deadly all the same.
Looking more he sees another man walk in the room, for a moment it looked as though the room stood silent as he walked in. It was the famed Ma Chao of Xi Liang, his aura seemed to just set him apart from many other warroirs, he seemd to enter the room with an over cocky strut, lookin like a brand new man with his extra shined amour, yea its good to be cocky some time, but Meng was hoping the Chao didn't over do the whole thing.
Meng wachted Chao, go to aqure a glass of wine from one of the servants. Another General came in by the name of Xing Cai, she was very great in helping in the capture of Wang Yun, and Meng was truely gratfull to her. Smirking as he turned his head, he focused his thoughts on other things, Meng walked from the table where he was eating and went into a corner, but still could be seen, to think about what he was going to do now after the Coalittion is over.

Ma Chao took a swig of his wine which was in a large cup, not like a fairy sized tea cup that others were drinking from. However, not quite as big as the lushes like Zhang Fei and who ever else was throwing down like last call was fast approaching. Those fellows were drinking from barrel size containers, probably what was being used transport the heavenly liquid to the party.
Mengqi shook his head, Fei was such a drunkard. He did take note of the pure strength to which it took for a full minute wine stand; as opposed to a keg stand, lol?
The young leader scanned the room again, noticing Xifeng who was slammin hot. She had booty for days and Chao quickly gave Benchu the evil eye for talking to his future woman! Still, he would be drawn momentarily from Yue's butt by another celestial maiden.
One of Mengqi's elites informed him that the gorgeous beauty was a.......man?
"Pffft! *$#@!!" he spit up his wine and swore at the same time. Smashing his gauntlet into his soldiers's helmet, without spilling his drink, Chao berated the man for not informing him earlier. Should he have hit on her....he it would have been decimating to his obvious popularity and overall notorioty as China's main bad ass.
The soldier quickly redeemed himself and pointed out Xiaoli Qing who had just arrived. All three men started to drool, mesmerized as if a bull by the red dress of the lady. The two guards were beginning to move forward as if being drawn in by Qing's tractor beam of love! However, a quick evil eye from Chao made them back up and decide to stand guard.
Ma Chao nodded to Qing who did not see him and that pissed him off big. Looking to his right, Zhang Jiao could be seen. The young warrior had heard many great things about him and perhaps would give him a few minutes of his valuable time. Surely, Ma Chao of all people could give him lessons on the most important thing of all..... JUSTICE!
If Qing noticed Mengqi, who was about 20 yards away, she would be amazed if not frightened by his appearing right next to her a moment later. He was like the party predator, hunting down the ladies.
"Ahhhh, what a beauty you are my lady" he said, bowing slightly and kissing the young woman's hand.
"What is your name and what brings you here? Surely, you were not on the battlefield unless used to entice Fengxian that monster."
Ma Chao was referring to Lu Bu, of course, and the fact that Xiaoli Qing seemed out of place and shy. Hell, after a few drinks she would not be so uptight!

Her bodyguard came up to her looking around the room then at her as he stood there for a moment. "Ya know" she said looking at him "I don't need you to protect me right now, there is no harm after all" she said sounding a bit annoyed. He raised a eyebrow slightly looking at her "was that a statement or a order?". Looking over at him she bit her lip slightly "what do you think" with that he disappeared into the crowd but she of course knew he was watching. Continuing to sip her whine she looked around the room for another couple of minutes.
Qing thought she saw someone give a nod to her but she ignored it after all it did not matter all that much to her at the moment. Then she noticed someone heading her way and she gave a small glance to where they were. She blinked and then all the sudden a man was right next to her, of course she wasn't expecting it but she didn't act like it had effected her in the least bit. Looking at the man her grey eyes had a glint of just about everything in them as she looked at him. Of course she guessed what sort of guy this could be, the one that tried to charm all of the girls in the party and she had sort of expected someone like that to come up to her.
"Thank you" she said her red lips pursed together as she gave a small bow to the man, of course he had bowed to her so she was going to return it. "My name is Xiaoli Qing" she said looking at him her eyebrow slightly raised. "Hm it's a party and I was sent by my father, not here by choice" she said in all honesty as she looked at him. "I'm perfectible capable of fighting just because I look like I do right now doesn't mean I'm helpless and totally incapable". Qing stated very coldly as she looked at him for another moment before her eyes wandered again.
Looking over at the wall she saw her bodyguard looking at her and she gave him a look that she was perfectly capable of handling this man. After all like she had said, she wasn't totally helpless, Qing knew what she was doing. Her bodyguard of course followed her around and treated her like his daughter most of the time which bugged her at times. The father she had at the time she could hardly call a father figure and she defiantly didn't need someone to act like one. Qing pulled herself out of her own thoughts turning her attention back to the man that stood in front of her.

He Could Have Gone About This Better...Ren walked with determination. Everyone around him got out of the way quickly. Who knows, maybe it wasn't just for him, and Ren was just thinking that. Liu Pi was decked out in his full Yellow Turban garb. That didn't matter though. What mattered was that no one was getting in his way.
Ren quickly reached Ma Chao, and proceeded to push him as hard as he could into into a table behind Chao. "Mengqi. I am Zhang Ren. You slaughtered a village of innocents, who your father had refused to listen to. In doing so you murdered my men." Ren drew his blade, and Pi behind him did the same, only he moved to block Chao's guards from getting involved. "Here, you fall. Ready yourself for the afterlife Mengqi."Ren locked eyes with the great Xi Liang general. It might no have been the smartest idea on Ren's behalf. Ma Chao was known as a great fighter, and a good general. Zhang Ren waited for a response, and then struck the sword down toward Ma Chao's lower stomach. He would try and kill the man here and now...

In the commotion between Chao and the very cliche man, Zhang Ren, Chunyu Qiong awoke from passing out upon his nemesis, Qu Yi. He was playing with him and taunting him before he'd fallen in his stupor, but he didn't remember that and was already rebounding and moving across the floor.
"Uhhh ohhh exqueeze me misssss. erere weego a-gain!" Chunyu yelled as he began to trip and mid trip groped some girls ass, he was drunk after all. His hands went up as he began to speed up and then crashed into Zhang Ren. The spectacle draged both men to the ground despite one only being intoxicated.
Chunyu began laughing very hard, now slightly ontop of Zhang Ren.
