------->Dong Zhuo Army Theme Song<-------- ************************* "Where is Lu Bu!?"Wang Yun shuttered after being caught off guard by his master's deep and powerful voice. Dong Zhuo always kept track of his prized possession as he was nothing without Lu Bu. Sure, Hua Xiong was strong enough to best any of the allies but Fengxian could take them all on.... at once! "My glorious emperor, Lu Bu is ravaging the enemy as we speak along the shoreline" Wang Yuan said, bowing low to Zhuo as to not anger him further. To this comment, Li Ru huffed to himself. The strategist knew that without his plans thus far the rebels would have been beaten already. The Fat Man was sitting, inside his command tent, upon a floatilla, and eating grapes by the hand full. Fruit juice was oozing out of his mouth and all down his beard before splashing down upon his fine silken robes. He was delighted by all the food but angered when a messenger made haste towards him. "My emperor, the allies have pushed back our defensive force along the shore and are now forming up! They have captured your brother, Dong Min, and also Niu Fu!" the soldier said, looking around frantically to see if he was the only one scared shitless. Dong Zhuo, caring more about his respect and power, ordered the messenger beheaded immediately due to his not bowing first before delivering his words! Hua Xiong, standing to his left, was the grim reaper and moved in with his twin swords to dispatch the lowly man. The humming sound of Xiong's blade could be heard, followed by the thud of a head, and the loud bellowing laugh of the emperor himself! "Gwahahahaha!" he laughed, but it was short lived and he turned furious immediately after. "Rally the army!"******************************* Flag bearers raced back and forth along the huge frontline of the Zhuo army, rallying their fellow soldiers before the final battlel. Thousands of spears and shields were being smashed together, creating a loud noise along with chants of the ally's imminent defeat! "Ha ha! This is what we have been waiting for, man!" one soldier said, a Veteran who had been anxious for battle. However, his comrade did not seem so excited. He could see across the way, at the allied soldiers, and the way they were acting. "They are not scared.""What, what do you mean? We have Lu Bu and Hua Xiong!" the soldier said, trying to make his ally see the light. As the rebels talked to one another, along the front, the generals were gathering behind. Great men moved to speak with the emperor before doing his bidding. "Great emperor, surely we should send Hua Xiong around their flanks with our elite cavalry!" Li Ru stated bluntly, having recently been arguing with Wang Yun about what was to be done. Hua Xiong grimaced at the comment, wanting to charge headlong into the enemy as Yun had suggested. Lu Bu, of course, also was for an all out charge so it seemed Li Ru's words would fall upon deaf ears yet again. Dong Zhuo, though a good general, was an over ambitious and powerful man. He would have nothing less than a total massacre, here and now, to end any uprisings in the future. He would kill them all. "No, we will rush forward and finish them!" Zhuo barked, to which Xiong and Bu both smiled. "I want this to be over as soon as possible! Gilmore Girls starts in an hour!"Li Ru shrugged and rode off, angered that he was ignored. Still, he could gain glory in battle as long as his men would fight hard for him. Problem was, his commanding ability was not up to par with his tactical knowledge. ************************** Dong Zhuo's large army lines up directly across from the allies with a massive group of solid spear/shield veterans! **ALL ALLIES ARE ON THE FRONTLINE DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE MAP** *********************** ::Morale:: ************************ ::Objectives:: - Capture Wang Yun alive! (+100g)

*Sun Yuan Ci gritted his teeth as he cut down a soldier from the flanks of his horse, twirling the Crescent Spear over his head before bringing it down to the other side, slashing down on another soldier. He looked up, gazing upon the stretching lands of the battlefield with a smile as he saw what was happening before him. He rode up a bit, rearing his horse only a few feet from the fallen corpse of the mighty He She It. Yuan Ci raised his spear, forming his men up behind him as the remaining forces of Dong Zhuo's army fell back even father. He scanned the horizon, overshadowed by lines upon lines of Dong Zhuo's soldiers. It was a sight to behold, and Zhiyun took it in as he gazed down his allies ranks, where thousands of soldiers formed up to prepare for the next phase of battle. So it was... the shore had been breached. There was no longer a defense to crack, only a mighty battle in the fields to claim the victor this day.*
*Sun Zhiyun tilted his head to the right, looking up the hills as the enemy army halted, formed back into ranks, and presented themselves once again as foes. Yuan Ci could see the main unit, which had made its appearance shortly before the army began to move back to regain itself. At Zhiyun's back were hundreds upon hundreds of fallen soldiers, befell for the glory which they'd never live to see. For a peace they'd only dream to obtain. For a peace that even Zhiyun himself could only dream to achieve. He looked down to his arms. His silver armor was coated crimson, the once shimmering scene of beauty was dulled out to match the hell of war that Sun Yuan Ci had launched himself into. The Crescent Spear dripped of blood, and a thick layer laid over his gauntlets. His cloak, entering the battle a light blue hue, was splashed with the reds of blood. Why does this spearman have to wear so much shiney shit?*
*It was a painful moment when Zhiyun contemplated the amount of men he had slain throughout the battle. Each thrust of his spear took a mere fraction of a second, but severed had he the life of a man. Merely looking into the eyes of a soldier about to be slain could do nothing to tell the man's history. Where was this man from? Was he married? Engaged? Did he at the very least make a booty call on occasion? What was his first son's name? Had they met under less hostile terms... what trying to kill eachother and all... could Zhiyun have found a friend in this man? It was all for naught, for he was dead now, at the hands of Sun Yuan Ci himself. And how many times had Yuan Ci been forced to endure this pain, the struggle of war and knowing that with each purge of steel into flesh, you steal a man's life. Pondering this, Yuan Ci had lost track of time, allowing it to slip away as the allied armies now prepared for the final battle. Xilao Shao rode up next to his commander.*
"Our army has fought long, fought hard. Sun Liao is off elsewhere, though I do not doubt he is well some of the men fear he may have fallen in battle. With the fat bastard finally showing his god-forsaken face, our enemy's morale will rise. My lord, I know not how accustomed you are to speaking publically as such, but these men look to you as a hero. That is why they have swarmed to serve you. And these men around us, these men we fight by. It was not until you arrived that the battle took a turn for the better. If you speak, they will listen, and if you speak well, you shall ring their spirits on the high, to a point where no man, no army can match in strength."
*Captain Shao spoke, and as he concluded, Sun Yuan Ci had already rode out. He rode straight ahead, about fifty feet past the allied lines toward Zhuo's. He could feel the piercing gaze of hundreds at his back, but he did not feel any sort of fright from that. It was then that the coat of blood around his armor could now be a badge of honor. Where once, he wore it as a burden of war, he could now use it to show those who saw him to prove his might as a soldier. To prove his might, and get all who bore arms to follow his chivalry.*
"This army... is weak. I look ahead and see nothing. I see nothing to be feared. I see greed, I see the false provokings of power, and I see a man who has lied and cheated his whole life simply for this moment, where he can hold his pathetic reigns for so little time more, until the cold steel of our blades severs the tie between his grasp and his power. I see this man... Dong Zhuo, and I see hundreds and hundreds of man and steed who come before us to stand against justice, against peace. I see soldiers who fight in fear of the man they fight for. Unfortunate for them, he is not the only thing they need fear. For the army they fight is so much more powerful then the man they serve. For today, we sever that tie between Dong Zhuo and the power he possesses.
"But alas... it shall not be my blade that cuts this tie. It shall be the blades of the many who take up arms for righteousness. Those who risk their lives against a dictator because they envision peace as I do. Now I beseach upon you, men!"
*Sun Yuan Ci spun his horse around, brandishing the Crescent Spear high in the air as he rode back toward his own unit, turning westward as he rode down the ranks, meeting the gazes of the many soldiers he passed.*
"I ask of you now to stand and fight like you have never fought before. When I entered this battle, I sat mounted atop an elevated plateau to the west. When I was up there, I could see the entire battlefield clearly. From there, I could see the overwhelming numbers that Dong Zhuo possessed in his favor. I saw the crumbling flanks, and I could feel the morale as if it was as clear as the skies above us. Alas, nevermore is the tide in the favor of the vile. I rode down that cliff with my spear in hand, and I did so not for myself, but for each and every one of you! Behold, a light from the heavens shone upon this battlefield and I thank the gods I arrived in time to see it. Despite being overpowered by numbers and position, you have now gained the upperhand! You have fought like warriors of heaven, and now you have Dong Zhuo on his lanst stand, at the fringes of oblivion, ready to be cast into the darkest depths of hell.
"And for that! It is the greatest honor of my life! To stand before you today... to fight along side you this day! Dong Zhuo hides behind his finest soldiers now, this shall be the final test before we may claim the coward for our blades to befall upon him. Fight with the vision in your head of a country of peace. Fight in the vision in your head where you may live under bright blue skies and rolling fields that stretch as far as the eye can see as the sun so soothingly beats down upon the skin of your arms as you caress so gently the wife you love so dearly. A land free from the tyranny of war, where you can look at your sword at laugh at its presence, where you may raise your children as they should be raised.
"With that vision, with that essence and dream in your mind, now look at your swords, and look at your enemy. Now tell me... how is it that Dong Zhuo can best an army such as this in the fields of battle?"
*Sun Yuan Ci turned his horse around, beginning to make it back to his own ranks. As he rode, he viciously drew his sword, holding it off to his right as he clanged it against the blades of soldiers as he rode by.*
"Fight alongside me here and now, and let us make this dream a reality. Let us make this vision a true one. It is so near to us now, and all we must do is complete this battle with the death of one last man. Form up, soldiers, and follow Sun Zhiyun to the last of the war in our beloved country!"
*Zhiyun almost felt bad lying to these men. He knew this was not the last of war. Even should Dong Zhuo perish by the end of the day, more would come. Those who seeked power and were in position to obtain it. It was unfortunate, but Sun Yuan Ci would fight them as he fought Dong Zhuo. For now, he simply settled back into the ranks of his lancers, remaining oblivious to the cheers he created. His glance scanned the enemy army. They were still outnumbered...*

Zhang He surveyed the battle lines that had been drawn up. As expected, his array was a most beautiful arrangement, almost a piece of art. It was a pity he would have to disrupt the glorious harmony he had created with his magnificent array. Ah well, such was the way of the warrior, Junyi supposed. Across the field, Dong Zhuo’s army loomed, bigger than the allies’ force, but Junyi was quick to note that they were also far uglier. The clashing color choices for their wardrobe especially offended Junyi’s sensibilities. Ah well, such was the way of the beautiful, Junyi supposed. He also noted that some of the men on his side seemed somewhat intimidated by their numerous foes. After a moment’s reflection, he hopped atop a nearby heap and prepared to rally the men.
He then fell off the heap rather ungracefully when he realized that it was the corpse of He She It. Gods above, even dead it was revolting. He dusted himself off and was about to launch into a speech when he overheard the adjacent general giving a speech of his own. Though somewhat annoyed at the interruption, Junyi waited politely until he had finished before giving a shout of his own. With a disgusted sigh, he flipped atop the bloated corpse of He She It and began his speech.
“Gentlemen, we have come a long way to reach this point! You have all performed most beautifully; indeed, I am honored to be able to call myself your leader. However, our task is not yet complete. The rude villain we set out to crush is just across this plain, would it not be a most beautiful achievement to slay him and rescue the Han from destruction? I invite you, then, to join the illustrious ranks of men like Yuan Shao, Qu Yi, and myself, men who have been made heroes because of today! Together, we will destroy Dong Zhuo and make this world beautiful!” He struck a pose amid a chorus of cheers and fluttering butterfly wings. Ah well, such was the way of the hero, Junyi supposed
(Dong Zhuo, I challenge you to say “fluttering butterfly” three times fast!)

"Rai, how's that arm of yours?" asked Wei Yan as he looked over his hundred elite shielded spearmen. In his hands he held his own long spear, Horizon, strapped to his back was his battle-axe, Boar's Tusk.
"Good enough to keep saving you." mocked Lu Rai as he stood to the right of Wei Yan. His shield was strapped to his left and in his right hand was his short spear. His left hip was adorned with his short sword. Lu Rai was a few inches shorter than Wei Yan. Both generals wore their hair shaggy, nearly down to their shoulders and kept it hanging loose.
"What do you make of this field, Yan?" asked Rai as he scanned over the enemy. In honesty, Wei Yan wasn't sure what to think. It seemed like only moments ago that Lu Bu had been within his grasp, and now the two were on opposite sides of the field. Xifeng Yue had aided him in the duel as much as he had aided her and neither officer could take the mighty Lu Bu's head. The two men exchanged glances for the first time, their eyes were a cold set of greens as they returned to looking at the field.
"I think it is beautiful assortment of colors, but by the end of the day it will be painted red with our blood or theirs." answered Wei Yan in a determined, calm voice. The breeze picked up a bit and caught both men's hair, Lu Rai nodded to the answer as he pulled a cloth up and tied his hair back.
"Where do we head first?"
"Does it matter? With an army this size we stand no chance of pincer or flanking, we need only move forward. There is plenty of men out there for the both of us."
The two men nodded a bit in understanding moving down towards their unit. "Here they are, Yan. One Hundred of the finest soldiers in all the world. They say they are trained at Phalanx fighting. You make anything of that?"
Wei Yan took only a moment to ponder on the thought before nodding. "Oh yes, I remember reading about it. They work kinda like a wall. Slow moving, but impenetratable. This should be an odd way to find an enemy that looks exactly like you. Hopefully our skill will overcome thier numbers."
It was only now that both generals finally took into account the men around them. To their left they saw the warrior general Zhu Jun, most known for helping Xiahou Dun capture a catapult at the shoreline in what felt like moments ago. To their right was a new comer to the allies plight against Dong Zhuo, Sun Liao. The man was a sight for sore eyes at the last battle, almost single handedly saving the right flank from destruction. Now, Wei Yan and Lu Rai both took a moment to thank the heaven's for a chance to serve beside him.
"Yan, I do believe it's time we gave our mighty host a thank you for all his courtesy these past few days."
"I believe you are right, Rai. I believe you're right." answered Wei Yan as he made his way down infront of his unit. It was there he raised his spear to the sky to get the attention of all his men.
"You there! Soldiers who have fought to this point without fear, what say you!? Shall we drive a tyrant back to hell!? Shall we take hold the reins of fate and steer our way into glory!? Shall we!?" boomed Wei Yan with a spear stab to the sky.
"Hoo-Rah!" replied his men.
"Good! Then form rank! Earn your right to be here! Be here on the greatest battlefield this world has ever seen! Show Dong Zhuo your might! Show him why he should fear you! The bell tolls for us! Kill the ringer!" roared Wei Yan as he stomped the ground and let out his own personal war cry that rang out above that of his men.
"Hoo-Rah!"
"Hoo-Raahhhhhhh!!!"
Lu Rai stood poised, ready, eager as he joined the lines of spearmen, his own shield and spear at the ready. The whole unit brought their shields around, making a wall, Lu Rai stood in the middle. It was he who started the thunder, with spear on shield, the whole unit echoed of metal on metal bashing. It was the thunder of glory!

The land before them was soon to be filled with clashing blades, moving bodies, and freshly spilled blood. But as of right now, the sandy strip that separated the two opposing forces was quiet, only disturbed by the breeze that occasionally whispered through. From either side, the quiet noises of muttering voices and horses snorting barely carried. The two large forces were currently immobile, waiting to see what the other did … Who moved first to begin the battle that would determine the end.
Xifeng had moved into her position on front of the Grand Marshall He Jin, diagonal from her fighting companion Zhang He. Her Golden eyes sought out the man for a moment, spotting him from atop her horse as her troops closed in a tight circle around her, and then she broke away from her watching to turn her attention to them. The Female Officer slid off of her horse, passing her reins to her second so that the animal wasn’t blocking her men’s view as she spoke, voice quiet and low. This was for their ears only … After all, she was just some nameless Gung-ho woman who had showed up with reinforcements.
But this battle meant more.
“My comrades,” She started, her gaze seeking them out, to connect with them. “This is the final stand of Dong Zhuo, his False Empire, and his Intolerable Reign. No more will China be oppressed by a Tyrant who hides behind his Troops and Generals and Traps and expects them to hold Justice back from it’s rightful place. No, my friends; this is indeed the end, and we, along with the men who stand with us, have been graced to bring it about.”
She paused, catching the dying ends of one Commander’s rallying speech, yet her and the troops were silent. “This is also a battle against people you once considered your comrades-in-arms; but are now no longer. No-To them, we are the traitors; Ones who have been branded on the back and seen as Dissidents. But, my men, it is those on the other side of the plain over there that have turned their back on the Truth, and what is Right, on how things Should Be.” There was a pause as they reflected on this, on the true origins of Xifeng’s battalion. From the lands that had accepted Dong Zhuo’s rule, only they had found the courage to say no…
“My men, this battle will decided if we go home as Heroes or if we’re known as dogs for the rest of our lives.” her hands clenched into fists, golden eyes ablaze. “This battle… It means everything.” Xifeng gives her troops ‘the talk’! (TBC) [No not ‘that’ talk <_<]

Xiahou Dun sat, cleaning and polishing his scimitar to keep himself removed from the calm before the battle. His unit fresh supposedly of a higher caliber, this time he elected to go with men proficiant in duel weilding swords.
"Gah... should've had him."
"Sir? Something a miss?"
"My shot, Yuan wouldn't have missed Guo Si. He should be dead, it would make this whole ordeal a tad easier."
"Ah ha ha! were lined across from the largest assembled line up of dong zhou's soilders and officers yet in these battles, which include the likes of Lu Bu and you concern yourself with wether or not you killed Guo Si!"
"Watch yourself captian...."
Dun rose, now knowing full well this was it, Dong Zhou had shown his face now, as well as bringing up Li Ru and Hua Xiong. Around him Zhu Jun, some one whom was usually alwas around to help cover his rear in the past battle. Of that none of the other generals around him he recognized. Across the way was a tandum three of Li Ru the deadly tacticition, responsable for the fire boats attack and the pit that saw most of his men dead. Lu Bu, the warrior responisble for the rest of the casuilites in his unit, then Guo Si... well Xiahou Dun just didn't quite like him. Compared to Wang Yun, Hua Xiong, and Dong Zhou these three were nearly godly. Acutally Lu Bu was almost alwas considered godly.
"Well, this collection of officers and soilders has come this far, survived hellfire on the river. A cowardly night raid and a beach landing against heavily fortified and prepared enemy, this is just another task to be completed. Were going to break through this enemy formation and win just like all the other battles against Dong Zhou!"
He shouted moving toward the front of his unit taking the center awaiting for the order to charge. Hopefully this time and on foot he could have a more succesfull assault without much enemy trickery screwing his unit up.
"Listen men, the voices of are allies piping up and speaking on the same lines of are inevitable victory, we wouldn't want to let them down would we?"
Xiahou Dun tries to inspire his men but being unoriginal he just has his soilders listen in on the other generals speeches!

Post by Sun Liao on Jul 14, 2008 2:46:39 GMT -5
Liao trots to the front of the line of men. Blood stains their armor, a hard battle was just fought. Sun himself is covered in the blood of enemies, even his cute little thing on his head has blood stains on it, and that will take hours to clean. But anyways Sun rides forward, stunned at the sheer numbers of the enemy, and the tenacity in which they fight. If these numbers were used on the shore, the day would have been lost before Sun even arrived. Thank god Zhuo was foolhardy. A true sign of not being much of an emperor.
Liao's spear is heavy in his hand. Fatigue claws at his body and sweat covers his brow, but he knows. He knows that the day is so close to being won, yet even closer to being lost. This battle is far from over (considering we filled Eight pages on a shore) but Sun relishes the battle. A chance to defeat his enemy once and for all, Zhuo is just across the battlefield, waiting to be vanquished. Sun watches, hoping he can be the one to put Zhuo down, but knows that most likely Zhuo will be in the center of his troops, and Liao must hold the right flank or all will be lost.
As time goes on the other generals line up and Sun can sense that the time for battle was drawing near. He has survived this far, and he and his cousin had turned the tides of the battle on the shore, but now, now they were seperated, and there was no flanking or surprise at their advantage this time. It was a straight on head to head battle, and morale is on the edge of tipping. As hard as the men have fought and as many men as they kill there are always more. The harder they fight the more men come, and warriors such as Lu Bu and Hua Xiong, proven tigers on the battlefield await them on the other side.
But the men have new heroes of their own. The virtuous brothers of Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Liu Bei, the fierce women warriors of Xing Cai and XiFeng Yue. The powerful Lu Meng, Zhang Ren and Xiahou Dun, the wise and powerful Zhang Jiao, Lu Zhi and Ji-Huang Liang, the courageous Gonsun zan, Zhou Tai, and Zhu Jun. The ever so beautiful, and graceful, and awfully fruity Zhang He, and the impulsive Yuan Shao. Even the fearless and mighty Wei Yan, but none more pronounced then Sun Yuan Ci, the rising sun in a new era. (sorry if I forgot someone, that was a lot to go through, I didn't realize how many of us were here).
At last time has come for Sun and Zhang to prepare their men, they turn to see 100 men standing at the ready, prepared to die for victory in this battle. Sun looks up and looks to his left, their he sees the battle ready men of Wei Yan, the fierce warrior who spearheaded enemy ships while under direct attack, and led the charge onto the beach. A fine ally to have on ones left flank. A warrior Sun wishes to meet more, and will fortunately get the honor to do so in battle. Sun turns to Ce,
"I owe you for following me this far, and I never meant to thank you for the ambush on the archers, it was well orchestrated, and you saved the day for my unit, and not to mention many lives."
Zhang Ce bows his head,
"I do as I am ordered, and you knew it was smarter to send the cavalry north, I take no credit for my actions."
Sun Liao laughs at his Lieutenants remark,
"You modest prick, I couldn't ask any more of my most loyal companion. Thank you."
"Quit this sappy shit, we have a battle to fight, don't waste your time with these pathetic goodbyes, we are not going to lose this battle, not with the men and inspired generals we have today."
"Well that was kind of mean but I guess I get your point."
Sun turns to his units, battle hardened men. Bloodshed is nothing new to these men, and Sun can see it in their very personas that they carry around them. This battle Sun will fight amongst not farmers, not tradesmen, but true warriors.
"Men I know you are sure to have heard it all, fought all sorts of battles for lords who you have never met. But today, today is different. Today you fight for a lord who stands beside you right here. One who will gladly lead you to his own death for glory! And for once you will fight not for greed, or one mans ambition, but for a just cause, to strike this rebel from his stolen throne! There are warriors over there such as Lu Bu and Hua Xiong, but you need not fear them, they are merely stepping stones to Dong Zhuo, and we have shown that we can fight them off and still win a battle."
"Today we will charge their lines, despite numbers, or odds, and we will fight to the death! There will be no ploys here, it is only us, them and the gods who watch over us. Let this not be your last battle men, fight in the name of all that is honorable and precious to our people, and remove this infection that plagues our lands!"
Sun turns his force and yet again looks at the enemy lines. He raises his spear despite his exhaustion, he puts on his helmet despite the fact that he is winded, he puts on a strong persona for the men, despite the fact that he knows that they will be lucky if half of them survive. Sun now, with Ce at his side awaits the battle cry of He Jin, the beginning of the end.

Zhou Tai and Zei Fang reached the far west of the allied line, and was able to resupply his troops. His twin swords were resupplied, this time with 100 elites. Once they were all formed up in their lines, Zhou Tai spoke to them. He spoke with clarity, force, and he spoke simply. "Men, we've been to hell and back today. We've fought long and hard, and we are so close to finding victory. I'm asking you to pledge your swords to this cause one final time, so that they may taste the blood of the enemy troops. We are better then them, even though they are more in numbers. But that means nothing, because we fight with more heart and more vigor then they could ever hope to match. Now, my friends, the taste of victory sdhall cleanse our pallate!" he said as he raised his katana high into the air. He and Zei Fang turned to face the enemy, ready to charge.
*Zhou Tai raises the morale of his troops and prepares to whoop some ass!*

Hmmm...the enemy seems to lack tact, their formation is simply a mirror of ours. Dong Zhuo was a great general and tactician once upon a time. Has he truly degenerated to such a degree of recklessness on the battlefield? ...How regrettable if it is so. Though, the man is despicable, though, I openly opposed him in "his" courts, I did respect his ability in the ways of war. No matter, his death shall be swift if the situation is as it appears.
Gongwei sat silently upon his steed, thoughts swirling, while he stared down the enemy forces. The banner of Lu Bu could be seen almost directly ahead of him, Gongwei did not fear this man, he was a useless savage; without the qualities of a leader of men -- a fool upon the battlefield. Despite that, he continued to have an effect on the soldiers' morale, that is what bothered Zhu Jun about Fengxian. "What an abhorrible being.", Jun mumbled, mostly to himself. In response to his iteration of his feelings about their famous foe, Jun received a friendly chuckle from a familiar voice.
"Gongwei, my friend, you should not let your distaste for that incorrigible cur affect you so. It's very unbecoming, you know." Jun turned to see the face that matched the voice, his most faithful and competent acolyte, Fu Xie. Jun smiled a bit and responded calmly to his comrade's jestful reprehension, "I do suppose you might be correct Nanrong. Do not believe for a second that I am worried, though, for I have sent home the poor conscripts that we were previously employing in battle. Now, now we have a much greater force, though smaller in number. The men who served us when putting down the brothers Zhang Bao and Zhang Liang during the rebellion. With undying loyalty they served then, and they shall serve now. And under my command, we will find victory."
Gongwei was met with yet another chuckle from his friend. Fu Xie had always been the softer side of Zhu Jun, often bringing him back down to earth, something that Jun appreciated greatly. Jun shook his head slowly, somewhat puzzled. "What is it this time?" Nanrong responded in the most patronizing tone he could conjure up, "Well, of course I wouldn't think that the great Zhu Jun, successful Han general who scored many victories over the terrible Yellow Turban rebels, and who now fights to defeat a tyrant plaguing the land, would ever be concerned because of such a tactless one as Lu Bu."
Gongwei could not help but laugh, he did tend to get a bit ahead of himself, and Nanrong used every chance he could get to show that to him. "I like the way you think, Nanrong. Flattery, after all, will get you everywhere.", Jun jokingly responded. "Why else would I hang around you other than to get ahead in this world?" After that last facetious comment, Nanrong's tone changed to a much more serious one, the time for joking was over, they were about to be surrounded by death once more. Perhaps it is only the truly desensitized that can find humor in such a situation, but what else can come of years of being involved in warfare, shedding the blood of those who you knew not, causing unbearable sorrow to those who are left behind, left without the strangers you slew. It truly did weigh heavily on both Nanrong and Gongwei; they knew the toll of playing war well.
"So, Gongwei...are we gonna make it through this one? Not that we haven't made it through all the other times, but we're getting old and I'm getting rather tired. I think I'll retire to a civil post after this is all over, too long have I been a tool for war." Jun nodded solemnly to his long-time comrade; he understood perfectly what he felt. "I'll probably just take up the post I'm given after we re-establish the government. Who knows, maybe I'll end up the Tai Wei. ...Wouldn't that be something? In any case, I don't doubt that we'll make it through this one, it's just like all the other times, really. Perhaps even worse, for we are serving the ambition of another man who will abuse the government. ...No matter, as of right now, we are military men -- this is our job: to serve other's wishes, whether the cause be just or not." He paused for a moment, reflecting as he often did before he lead men to their deaths, perhaps even sending himself to his own grave. It was a lot to process, and it was never an easy thing. Oh the tragedy of human life....
Gongwei came out of his pensive, somber state, resolute and powerful as ever; the general that his men knew well, and entrusted their lives to. Even if ultimately that was a mistake. "It is almost time, are you ready?", the old veteran asked his fellow old fool as he stared stoically at the enemy. "Yeah...just this one last time. And then maybe, just maybe there can be some peace for us." The two of them were ready, whether the peace they sought was to be found in death, or in life was yet to be determined, but the two of them were prepared for it. Prepared for a reprieve from the hardships of their lives.

Liu Bei regathered his men for the final attack on the new emperor of china. His rule had brought nothing that tyranny and chaos to the once peaceful Han Dynasty. He put both swords into his left hand and his right hand towards his face going over his hair then re-attaching his sword back into his right hand. His men were all in a 4 x 4 line up with Liu Bei at the front. He then turned towards them to give them a speech that they will remember, Also to raise the moral of the troops.
Men, These people who serve Dong Zhou are not warriors they are greedy, tyrannic also chaotic people they are in it for the money and nothing else. Remember why you are here to stand up for the Han Dynasty to stand up for Virtue, Honor & Justice that is what i represent it is what you represent.I am proud of you all.
He turned to his troops when he said that that should lift there moral. The troops all turned towards each other giving themselves reassurance and hope. They had much faith in Liu Bei his virtue would shine through out the battlefield today. They believe strongly that Liu Bei wouldnt leave them to die he would support everyone he could. The moral was lifted, Liu Bei had one more thing for them. He went along side the lines shaking there hand getting them to have more support in him than ever before. Once he had done that he return to the front for one last message.
Everyone, For Virtue i will not let you down. For Honor i will not leave you. For Justice we will bring this man down today!
Liu Bei has given a moral boosting speech. All men in the Liu Bei unit are pumped and ready. Awaiting orders to march!

(OOC, My position is actually in between Lu Meng and Zhang Ren, she hasn't moved since the other thread. Also, somewhat limited post, I'm not at home for this week.)
"I love reinforcements..." Gao Jin muttered as the men were rallied behind him. Spears and shields all matched perfectly. Even Gao Jin himself had his trusty trident and a shield from the previous slaughter. Walking down the lines of his men, he scanned ahead. This would be the final climatic battle. Glorious war awaited him and Xing Cai. Turning back to the men, he said nothing, his eyes scanning the men, penetrating into their soul. They all stood perfectly still, some nodding, others smirking. They were ready for war.
"Glorious war awaits you."
Xing Cai adjusted the levelling of one soldiers shield. She knew how to fight with one pronged weapon and one dfensive weapon. Furious Angel was blood stained, and she was proud of it. A feeling she would never thought would occur. She had enjoyed the glorious victory that they had earned previously. Xing Cai moved to the front of the lines of men. Her eyes scanning ahead, there, waiting, was the entire army of Dong Zhuo. The legion of hell and deception. Behind her, stood the army of justice and heaven. Furious Angels of justice ready to descend upon those dastardly bats. Nodding to Gfao Jin in pure seriousness, she turned to the men and spoke loudly, but not yelling. She didn't hand a cliche speech, she spoke a few lines...nothing more.
"The strong deliverence of justice awaits them."
With one resounding sound, they banged their spears to their shields. The elites were ready to hand a might blow of justice to Dong Zhuo's troops.
Summary - Xing Cai, Gao Jin and 100 Elite Spear and Shieldsmen are lined up in their original position. (Which was between Zhang Ren and Lu Meng.) - No cliche speeches were delivered, just silent glares that took on dramatic ferocity. - The men banged their spears to their shields in one solid move, making a resounding sounds across the beach.

From the allied main camp, to the river and now the the shoreline, it seems like this battle would would never end meng did his part here and there to aid the Han as best he could but didn't do anything real spectacular for hi to get any praise on, but Meng wasn't for the praise or glory, but he didn't have any problem with being famed for something. Meng was late to the beach homecoming to say the least, after being to busy trying to manuver through the fire ships, but now the official party has started, the enemy ranks where deep and filled with amazing officers.
The man Lu Bu was obviously famed for his great might, many say this man or god could kill a 100 soldeirs in just swing, though it sound very unbeliveable to many, some have actually seen Bu in battle and his praised hi for his might, enemy and allies, but Bu knew he was powerfull and would most time rub it in people faces. Some say he is the god of war and could never be beatin in battle. Possible the greatest warroir alive, and maybe will be the greatest warroir, but that remains to be written down in the history books.
Meng didn't get to face or even got to look at Bu when he came to this beach, seeing how Bu isn't really near his ranks so he won't be able to have a little fun with. There was another general that was near his ranks called Hua Xiong, not as terrifying ande demanding as Bu but he has his good fighting style he fights with. Also to the right of Hua was a man named Wang Yuan, not the best stratigest in the world obviuosly not being better than his counter part Li Ru, but he does what needs to be done here and there. Meng was his men where really head up on Wang Yuan's troops and Meng was hoping to quickly destroy his his troops.
Meng felt good about his position he was in, next to the likes of great generals like Zhang Jiao, Zhang Ren and Norion, these men that payed an important role in this battle so far. Meng's horse was brought from the ship, which stayed inside the brigg, while the ship was still moving, the horse troted off of the ramp and went right to Lu Meng, the horse the a light brown color, looked to be about 40 years old in Human years, but still has the speed of a young steed. Meng mounted the steed and rode the horse slowly through his ranks, all the archers, spearmen and swordsmenN all where line up accordingly, now his new Veteran group of men will surely help.
His Veteran soldier consist of 50 twin swordsmen 50 macemen, hopfully these would help Meng route the enemy troops. Meng really wasn't the one for speeches and rawr rawr excitment stuff, he was just all about getting the job done and then going home to you wife and having a good time. At the head of the army with his tiger hook firmly griped in his right hand and holding it in the center of the shaft, the iron shafy felt warm in his hand, the sweat from Meng's bows gently tricnkled down his cheek all the way down to his chin abd driped off to his silver amour. His task wat to route Wang Yun's force, and that was what he was going to do, Meng na dhis troops marched forward to meet Yun...

Yuan Shao calmly pushed his steed on, allowing the beast to finally just walk, rather than run. You see, it'd been running since it was 'stolen' by Yuan. Then again, it's former masters were thieves, so maybe this was just karma coming full circle. Behind Shao there was no immediate entourage, no his troops were further back being lead by an official looking man that surely none other than the troops knew. Such was the nature of being in this force, you were all one tight group. Names didn't mean much, at least for Yuan Shao. Within such views was his ideology, despite what the majority of China that knew of him surely thought.
'Aha,' Shao noticed Zhang He to the front, next to the huge gap in the line. Shao rode to the gap first, and then waved to Zhang He, like an old sibling does to another in a crowded airport. Embarrassing? Unnerving? Cha.' "FAIRY MAN! COME YOUR LORD NEEDS YOUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!" Shao yelled after grabbing the young warriors attention. And before long Shao's army would retire behind and prepare for the chaos to come. These men were thankfully only welcome to this, and just as their lord, saw this whole event as a privilege.

Zhang He sighed and hopped off of the mound of fat that was He She It.
"I really wish he wouldn't call me that. A most undignified nickname..." he muttered to himself as he skipped lightly over to Yuan Shao. "You called for me, my lord?" he asked with a low, flamboyant bow.
