(I was bored so I started to write a certain section of plot line I planned for a short story I'll never finish . Set in the world of the 2nd CoD. Also don't be surprised if I never finish it.
I've used Brian's character Shen Ha Hope he doesn't mind, and I based a character off one of Josh's creation. I based this duel off of the duel Brian had with Little Matt on Bot3k. Funny times.)
The Sage, the personal adviser to Ma Teng, the leader of the Qiang hordes. Always a thorn on Zhao's side. One that never leaves. The Sage, who also goes by the name of Saerin, was a black haired enigma of a man. A witty, strong, and a man who is said to be aided by other worldly forces. He is seen adorned by a blue army uniform and a blue cape. Weapon of choice? An iron long sword, accompanied by a round shield.
So what was The Sage doing in the mountains? Hiding from the Champion, Zhanglao had sent Shen Ha to deal with this nuisance. With Ba Zeng's campaign against the hordes holding out at Chang An, the Sage was running out of hiding spots. Ba Zeng's actual secondary goal was to give Shen Ha, the Champion of Zhao, enough time to track down the Sage and kill him. Without this tool, the Qiang tribes will cease to function like a whole.
It had pay off, Shen Ha and an entourage of about 50 capable men had tracked down the Sage to the highest point mountain in Tian Shui. Literally, Saerin had fled to a temple in the skies. Shen Ha had set out to kill him, and lucky for him, an informant had, informed Shen Ha that Saerin was accompanied by a bodyguard, Pang De. The Tiger of the Qiang.
Killing two birds with one stone. Nothing Shen Ha couldn't handle.
Within the heart of Tian Shui rises a mountain so high that it never stops snowing. Funny that some brilliant architect took years to build a temple on the side of it. So whithered and eroded from years that it didn't have doors or window shutters. The last hiding place for the Sage.
The Temple was huge, built into the side of the mountain, completely stone. A small wooden pathway was built to lead up to the mountain, it was winter so it was almost always covered with foot upon foot of snow. The temple was called the 'Majestic Temple' snow filled up the thresholds often and usually the inside would be half frozen with frost covering the walls. The only way to live in the Temple was to retire to the basement where it was slightly warmer then on the exposed surface. The basement also acted as an armory, which was weird considering no army has ever been up there in ages. Perhaps it's previous owners acted as arms dealers.
Perhaps.
"Thats it sir! Right up there!" A soldier said who was behind Shen Ha, the Champion was only accompanied by two soldiers. Merely foot soldiers and nothing more. Shen Ha trudged up through snow that reached all the way to his knees, he did not care. All he knew was that his target was in that structure and he had to kill him, Pang De was a plus. Shen Ha's spear clung to his back, the same weapon he had used to duel Pang De with in the past. He knew Pang De well, he used two large axes and wield them with expertise.
Still nothing the Champion couldn't handle.
Saerin paced the floor of the upper level in the temple rather nervous. He had ran out of options and Shen Ha has tracked him to his last hiding place. Pang De leaned against the frosty wall, relieved that Shen Ha was only taking 2 soldiers with him. Pang De wasn't worried he was the Tiger of the Qiang, he also knew that Saerin wasn't that bad of a fighter.
Saerin looked worried, keeping his eyes on the doorway at all times, there were two staircases on each side of the room that lead down into the entrance area.
A shadow appeared of a tall man, a cape billowing in the snowy wind.
"SAERIN!" A large voice boomed and echoed throughout the mountain side and the temple.
Saerin picked up his shield and kept his eyes on the doorway, Pang De simply shifted his head towards the doorway. His dual axes strapped to his back.
"You and I have some unfinished business."
"You ain't kidding." Saerin retorted. He pulled his his longsword and went to the far left staircase, climbing down a few steps. Pang De climbed down the right.
The two soldiers that accompanied Shen Ha moved to the far right staircase, Shen Ha himself moved to the left. He removed his spear from his back whilst his cape shadowed his movements. After flourishing his spear for a few seconds to show off, he climbed 3 steps intent of finishing Saerin. Saerin stood his ground and awaited the Champion to charge him. Shen Ha has a spear, a range advantage, Saerin would have to block and hold him off until Pang De could rush to his side.
"You don't stand a chance!" De smashed one of his axes against the wall cracking the stone, and intimidating the two soldiers. He threw the axe in his right hand at the head soldier, it struck him in the chest, and immediately he fell backwards.
