It's not the Current social state of the Yuan Kingdom that worries her, but the Moral state of mind of it's leaders. Where has honor gone? What's actually been going on in the background of the Yuan Kingdom? While Shu is blamed for the rockslide, darker stories have been dug up about the Vermilion Kingdom and it's Physically sick leader.
It wasn't what she wanted, but it had been her duty to stay with them. Some say that the last straw had been when she had confronted her Lord about such moral decay, an argument servants on the lower level will swear they heard from all the way where they had been working. But when the Beautiful Devil had exited the room, she looked as calm and Infallible as ever.
Then Xifeng disappeared.
Since then, all traces of her, including personal troops, have been erased from Chang Sha. But outside the city, it's harder for one with such piercing eyes to move about unnoticed. Currently they roam, but from the word of her soldiers, it's possible The Beautiful Devil may seek refuge with the person who opened her eyes to the truth...

Post by Wei Yan on Sept 5, 2008 14:08:48 GMT -5
So people have talked, as people do, of the great battle between The Golden Horde and Glory. With it rumors have sprung up, some of them being confirmed. Glory has been disbanded spread like wildfire, and has been confirmed at every passing corner.
Then actual rumors began popping up about the Ex-Glory Ruler, Wei Yan. It was said the warrior was seen marching south from Chang An, his army was in tow, but when he was sighted at Cheng Du, he was alone, and not as any had remembered him. People have been talking in the streets of Cheng Du, and it seems the rumors are spreading quickly of why the warrior has come to the capital of Shu. Some say he's come to exact revenge going so far as to claim he smells of bloody breath and has an eye full of vengeance. Others have gone so far as to say the warrior has realized his folly in trying to rule and has come to join the kingdom of Shu, but those are quickly countered with talk of how the warrior has been heard in taverns of small towns speaking of the greatness of Sun Liao, Hero of T'se.
There is only one thing that all the rumors agree on, the warrior is changed, very different from his time in Chang An and he is only asking to speak with Liu Bei. He's lost his goodly aura and it's been replaced by a sorrowful shadow that lingers to his right where his shieldman use to ride.

Word has begun to pour out of Xu Chang that the armies of Wei have mobilized. The once dormant power seems to have sprung alive with a fervor none had expected from Wei. At this time many seem to believe it all speculation. Perhaps it is, for Wei has done very little up until now. At the time however, Mengde has been known to be highly cunning. Perhaps the Hero of Chaos has finally made his move.

The maids and servents of Cheng Du's palace have been spreading word that Wei Yan spoke of riding to T'se next, and possibly residing there. People have been asking why he plans on going there and the rumors are diverse.
Some say he wants blood for Sun Yuan Ci being so dormant during the battle of Chang An. Some say he's going to see Sun Liao. Others say he has heard the rumors of Liu Chan's sickness and then his triumph and is going to thank the man for his help at Chang An. None are very accurate in their detail though.

There are speculations that after the ordeal with Wei Yan in Cheng Du, Liu Bei has lost all heart into what he should do next, there are fears for the worst as maids and assistants pass by the room where he retreated to. No one know for sure that he is even still in Cheng Du, for all that we know he dosent want to be approached by anyone during this time. One that was close to him for a short period of time is the one he wants to see. Possibly his brothers aswell

Post by Liu Shan on Sept 8, 2008 6:58:38 GMT -5
The Tongue Gives Way Many eyes gazed down at the white face, all life had been dragged from the body and taken to the courts of hell. Dressed in the finest silks the family could find the body of the Eunuch was finally placed into a funeral carriage and soon it would be prepared to make the journey to the Huang family cemetary in Luoyang. Were tears fled? No, not even by the family of Huang Hao, for they knew his time was numbered, ever since they saw a star fall within the north they could feel their own son wither from this land. Many surrounded the hole in which the Eunuch would be burried in, mostly part of the family who were employed to make sure the tombs and cemetary to be kept in order. All dressed in white the first one to place any prayers upon the spirit of the Eunuch was the one he proclaimed himself protector of, Liu Shan. The tears wished to fall, but knowing that the family could become insulted if someone outside of their own group showed them up with tears, there could be some problems for him. Next was the closest person to the Eunuch, a trusted confidant and dressed in white robes the man stood forward and poured a little wine into a cup. Raising it into the air, the man smirked a little.. 'I shall further where you have failed'. Indeed a strict promise coming from a man like that, it was Yan Yu, a man who had military knowledge and was possibley known to be turmoil incarnate; more so than his own friend, Huang Hao.The credentials did not take too long, all wanting to take the to the taverns to 'celebrate the life of Huang Hao', however, such a family needed not to lie to show their addiction to alcohol. It was only Liu Shan who remained stalemate infront of the Eunuch's tomb, poised in a way which wanted to fall to the ground and weep...for the only man he could consider a friend. Soon the young Liu was flanked by Yan Yu, towering the small boy his body was large, but most muscle. "Do not worry young Lord, the spirit of Hao shall soon ascend to the Heavens.." The hand was placed onto Shan's shoulder, though it was meant to comfort the young Liu could not help but feel somewhat scared - There was a lingering of fear, but Shan did not have the mind to work out what that was..merely believing it was the lonely feeling once again creeping back into his life."To honour a friend, I shall be the one protecting you from the evil that desires your head." What Liu Shan did not realise is that Yan Yu was worse than Huang Hao, is tongue carried twice the dose of poison and his arms possessed the strength that Huang Hao lacked- usely used to enforce his wishes upon others...One snake may die, but the Heavens shall always replace the lost by something far greater than the land had imagined.. The Deadliest of Bites As rumours spread that Huang Hao has finally passed away, many seem to believe the strangle hold in which he had Liu Shan by would now be obselete; allowing the son to be reuinted with the father. How such tales go. But there lay in wait something far worse than the Eunuch, a man of militant background and soon rising minister of war in Luoyang, Yan Yu. Many dislike the man for piercing the structure of good to allow the bad take hold and destroy, however, how can people rise against things they fear? Now in the charge of Yan Yu, the young Liu has been refused to leave Luoyang until the order of Yu has been spoken. "I hear that Liu Shan is being contained in Luoyang, refused direct entry and no way of leaving."
"That's nonsence, he's being detained because that proclaimed 'Lord of Hanzhong' wants his head."
"Yea, that's right, poor boy.. What a disgrace that his own father wants the so called 'truth' hidden; just doesn't want to recognise that the boys demise is placed all on his shoulders."
"I thought Yan Yu was preparing an escort to Wei? That's where most children of enemies go, but.. What would I know? I tried to have my duck mait with my cockrell."
"No you idiot, it's a return to T'se."
"You're a retard... Why would he go to Wei?.. It's Wu he's going to, Yan Yu apparently has plans.."
"I have plans involving your face!.. I know what's going on. Yan Yu is taking the young boy to Ma Chao."
Perhaps the people were not the greatest source, from the rumours shone more of the lack of education these people had- though their words were indeed interesting on the whereabouts and doings of Liu Shan. Whether they can be trusted is another matter, but one thing is true..that Liu Shan is being detained within Luoyang and any entrance to speak with him must be allowed by Yan Yu himself..

"Gods... Heavens... Did you see that!?"
"What? Are you sweating? It's like 40 degrees tonight. Are you sick?"
"He was just there... Those eyes... That horse.. It was him..."
"What the hell are you talking about you panicking pussy? Told you that you could only take one cup of wine."
"No... It was him. The terror of China."
"What!? Here!? Haha! The maids of the Palace say Lord Sun Yuan Ci slew him in the battle against Dong Zhuo. You are drunk."
"I may have been.. but that sight.. It'll sober a man."
"No.. No.. You are drunk. There is no way Lu Bu would come to Ye. Every powerful warrior known to man is gathered here now. Sun Yuan Ci, Sun Liao, Liu Bei, Wei Yan... Well I guess he could kill Liu Shan, but the rest are pretty damn scarey!"
"But I saw him. He glared at me. He smiled at me. He was right there."
"Just get some sleep. Lu Bu is de--"

The two men were found dead the next morning, behind the pub where they were pissing. Each one cleaved clean in half.

The banquet of the era, which has the possibility to break a dawn into a new era, is in full swing with representatives from each lord, including many of the greatest warlords of the time grouping in the same room.
Gates to Ye are open for celebrations, but the palace is sealed off and under immense protection. In a night where every lord is in the same area, SYC dars not allow any bold assassins to stalk into the banquet hall and find themselves at the greatest catch of all time.
In other words, Lu Bu can't make a random-ass burst into, but I will let him in to proress the plot.

When a Dragon Dies, the Rest Must Grieve As the day went by, the intentions of the banquet at Ye had become obscured as the fuedal lords could not seem to agree on the definition of 'peace'. Sun Yuan Ci, the Lord of T'se, seeing that unity was the key, Liu Bei, the first to protest expressed that an Emperor be placed upon the throne and given the credentials of Son of Heaven; clearly it was a direct clue to his own desires, seeing the chance to be placed on the Dragon Throne...for if an heir to be placed for Emperor Ling, it would be the Imperial Uncle. Next to object was a Wei representative, who carried an air of arrogance, typical for those who bow to the banners of Cao Wei. However, the Lord of T'se could not conceal the dislike he had for Shu, who had strung away from their heritage and instead claimed himself 'King of Hanzhong', struck Liu Bei where he stood. Surprisingly none came in the defence of the so 'virtuous' Lord, not even the young girl who came in his company, was it Heavens will that this man died now? For none protested against such act, instead allowing a being to approach and lash the sword across the throat of the self-proclaimed King of Hanzhong.
That being, whose mind had gradually become deteriorating over the proceeds of the banquet; some saw him talking to the wall, others noticed a twisted glint in his eyes and even the persona of the beloved boy had transformed. It was Liu Bei's own son, Liu Shan, a boy whose frail mind was easy to be lead astray. Some speak that the act he performed against his father was merely freeing the spirit of his father, as a man would do to a horse whose injuries were too many. Others believe that the distressed boy had yielded to insanity and had no clear mind on what to do, merely allowing the corruption to do their bidding. The attendants close to the young Liu know that Shan would never truely aid in the murder of his father, for there were so many questions the poor boy had...the fact that even when treated to horribley by his own father, that Shan bored the love a loyal son would...
Soon after the occurances, while black banners appeared from the south, the skies grew dull and turned their eyes from watching the ensuing horror that was Liu Shan's mind. No path was given to the young Liu, Wei Yan had now disserted him and Yan Yu believed back in the Capitol. Not knowing what to do, the poor boy continued to give in to the insanity, or spirit of Chao Cuo. Only one showed their concern for Liu Shan, the cousin of T'se Sun Liao, who sent his loyal guard Pang De to seek his counsel and make sure that his sudden mental deterioration would not bring harm upon the frail child. However, soon the boy could struggle no further and saw the only way to rid himself of this curse was to bring his own death. Performing the same treatment as his father did to him, Shan dashed his body to the ground in hopes of draining what was within out by blood. It worked, though the body of Liu Shan lay lifeless infront of Pang De and so many others.
Liu Shan, the Dragon of Hidden Courage, was pressumed dead to the world with only one man knowing the truth: Pang De, who could observe the frail half-failing breaths of the suffering boy..
