Name: Xifeng, Yue
A.K.A The Beautiful Devil
Age: Late 20's (Exact date unknown)
Sex: [/i] Female
Height: 5’9
Weight: You can't ask a lady that!
Appearance:
Long, dark hair reaches past the small of her back, with tinted green bangs that frame her face and bring out golden eyes that express a vast range of emotion from happiness to anger. Her face tends to be bright and animated, no matter what the situation. She’s said to have the features of an angel, but fights like a demon.
Yue’s skin is light, fair for one who spends so much time riding out to war, actually. Most of her body is covered by armor in various shades of green. her leggings underneath the armor are white, and go into boots that lace up to her knees.
Weapon 1:
Demon's Claw- Obtained during her bet match to keep her troops, the spear is extreamply unique in it’s own right. First off, it is expandable, changing from a small canastiar-like apperance about a foot long long to a whopping 6’5, including it’s three blades, each which point in a different direction. When compacted, the blades fold up to form one point, making the smaller version look for all the wold a rounded knife. The spear is golden in color, very shiny in a way that could be reflective in the bright sunlight. To this day it is still believed to be cursed, and has become part of the legend that follows her name.
Weapon 2:
Knife: A rather large jagged dagger that Yue keeps strapped to her upper thigh for easy access; mostly used for surprise attacks.
I'll give you all the answers
Personality:
Xifeng's shown that indeed, in a world where it isn't typical to be a woman warrior, she isn't typical at all. On the battlefield, she's just as fierce as any man (or six), willing to throw herself into the fray to push back, decimate, and block her enemy, while at the same time compassionate enough to jump in and save a comrade-in-arms. Truly a sight to see on the battlefield; strong, commanding, and encourging.
In social situations, she's very awarkward with both men and women. Small talk isn't something she does very well, and due to her reputation, it's hard to find someone willing to speak with her at all, really. But when she does find those few who don't scorn her, she can relax slightly with them. Otherwise, she'll clam up.
Xifeng's a very intelligent woman. She knows when she needs to rally the men, and when she needs to keep her head low. She knows when it's best to cede to the wishes of others over her own and when enoughs enough and you have to stand up. Smart in a Stree-Sense kind of way, but learned in enough academics to get by as well. Writing comes easiest to her while things like Basic Math (You have to count those troops someway) and History she gets by alright with. Her weaker spots include most anything scientific, but seeing as how there isn't anythign really scientific happening in this part of the world yet, it doesn't matter.
Yue can also have a... Darker Side to her, blanking her emotions out to not allow herself to feel. This is her form of defense after long years of both war and nasty rumors that flew about her, until she finally just stopped fighting it and lerned to turn everything off when needed. On theother hand, when her pent-up emotions take control she bursts, leaving her in a slightly out-of-control way. Sometimes it's violent, other's it's self-pity,(depending if she's by herself or not.) but from the child to now, she still hasn't outgrown these tantrums.
Although this is who the woman is, her abilities are guided by a set of morals that where instilled in her from a young age;
\\Those with power should use it//
\\The people have a obligation to the higher powers, but a right to make choices//
\\Conflicts should never be left unfinished//
\\Not putting your all into your goal is as bad as not having done anything at all//
History:
Xifeng has had a strange life for a woman in her time, and much more is surrounded by mysterious circumstances that have made her the stuff of Legends. and like all good legends, they hold a little bit of truth to them.
Many heroes are said to be the sons or daughters of the gods; Xifeng Yue is said to be sired by a devil. Her golden eyes are thought to be part of her demonic heritage, along with the fact she looks nothing like her father. Though outwardly, the family stuck together and maintained her mother’s image and honor, it was always a great source of conflict behind closed doors.
Yue was always a strange child, even at a young age. She had a way to charm people, to get what she wanted from whoever she wanted, but could go into a terrible rage in an instant. Her fits continued to circulate whispers of her true parentage, which in a world that believed in multiple Deities and in which heroes boasted of being the sons of gods, it seemed believable. Either way, she was still part of the Xifeng family, which was neither well-off or poor, just somewhere in the middle. They were most well known for being the leader of the small defensive force they had in their village, in which Yue’s father trained, equipped, and managed very well. They could quickly mobilize to fight off bandits successfully, and were often called on by neighboring villages to help with problems.
This militia was expected to be passed onto Yue’s older brother, as tradition went, but the older had been sick with what is now known as Polio, and had been weak all his life, so it didn’t look like that was happening. Instead of him being the one who rode out with his father to watch the troops train, it was young Yue. She would sit on the horse with him and marvel at the way things were done, even having the audacity to issue orders every once in awhile. Of course, this was all written off to he being a child. But the girl watched, and learned… and her father realized this at one point. So slowly, he began to train her; in politics, current events, and how to defend herself. She caught on fast, absorbing this information even though she was still very young.
This became a point in her life where the legends began. It’s said that by the time she was thirteen, Xifeng ran the militia in training; by fifteen, she was the unofficial officer as her father grew sicker and sicker. Her men obeyed, those who thought otherwise were punished, sometimes in cruel ways that lived up to her ‘demon heritage.’ She had one man castrated for raping a local girl, another starved for misconduct. By the time her father died and she had Officially gained the group, she was Seventeen and riding high on life. But, of course, there were those who didn’t believe a female was fit for the job. When the milita was called in to supply the army of their land with people, Yue rode at the head of the pack, confusing the Army officers. When she told them she was in charge, they laughed in her face, and stated flat-out that they would not accept a woman as a officer in the army. She would be replaced.
This was unacceptable, but also predictable. She couldn’t expect them to just change immediately, unless she forced them into it… which is exactly what the woman did. After all, turning down a bet from a woman would be defiantly losing face, right? So when she challenged one of them to a fight for her position, they basically had no choice but to accept. Many expected her to lose within a minute, but other’s weren’t so sure about her, this young girl with piercing golden eyes…
She was allowed to chose a weapon first from their stash, and was immediately drawn to a box covered in seals and locked tightly away. When she asked about it, a collective shiver ran around the room. It was a weapon known as the Demon Claw, that had killed over a hundred men. It was hard to wield, but those who had seemed to have a unstated bloodlust that burned within them. Naturally, they thought it to be home to a dark spirit that could not be exorcised. So, of course, it was Yue’s first choice of a weapon.
The men were flabbergasted, even more so when she had beaten down the officer she had challenged in less than three minutes. even so, they had to be true to their word, and the young woman stayed on as an Officer as the rumors about her spread… and many their were. Her angel face was a mask for a devil, she could call on and control lesser demons; Yue never bothered to correct them or comment about any of it, for it allowed her to issue orders and have them carried out—There were few who would want to mess with her. But in return, her battles and skirmishes come back with her land as the victor, it never failed.
… But what’s next for the Beautiful Devil?
