The allies had broken through Dong Zhuo's fire attack, but at a cost to their morale and men. Many dead bodies were now floating down the river, either burned to death or drowned.
The remnants of the charred boats could be seen before they finally sank to the bottom of the river."Prepare yourselves!!" He Jin yelled, seeing the enemy beach bustling with movement. He was lucky to still be alive, if it were not for the aid of warriors like Zhang Fei and elder veterans like Lu Zhi.
Ahead, on the opposite shore, was a massive army waiting for the allied assault. Wooden barricades could be seen as well, but behind them stood archers that were not visible. Thousands of infantry were smashing their weapons together and hurling insults toward the approaching allied boats."When we hit the beach, move forward!!" a captain screamed to his men as the first set of arrows could be seen leaving the shore area. One projectile came right down into the same captain's skull, killing him instantly and sending him to the deck of the boat.
The lesser allied soldiers began to panic and some jumped off the boats before getting to the shallow water. They either perished or had a difficult journey getting to the shore. If they even survived, they probably dropped their weapons in the river.
Not like that mattered though, as there would be plenty of available weapons scattered along the beach; lying next to their respective dead owners. The allied boats are approaching the enemy, but have not reached the shore! Will you rally the troops for the battle or try and rescue some of your allies to increase troop numbers? They were needed now if ever.*Note: Do not land yet as this is not the battle thread.*

The Green-Clad Female, who was in charge of her own squadron, was one of the last to leave the shoreline, had already stopped her boat and starting searching for servivors one her orders. The dead were unceromoniously thrown back into the water, while any enemies that tried to pose themselves as one of their own were dispatched... then thrown back into the water. Dirty work, but someone had to do it. But, on a better note, they managed to pull up some of the soldiers from their side; Tired, waterlogged, but still alive and kicking. the current ratio of picking up someone who was alive and not a enemy right now was 1:6... Not exactly too bad, but it could of been better.
"Keep going men." Xifeng called out to her troops, watching from the top deck. Her attention was eveantually diverted toward a ship heading in their direction. The woman brought one hand to shade her eyes, looking out in their direction as the breaking Sun gleamed off the water. It took her a moment to recognize who it was, but the face of their Officer soon became familair.
“Wonderful timing, my lady! Your ferrymen could use some aid.” Indeed they could, she could see, parts of the boat were on fire. The woman waved over more men to go help, also Moving toward the back of the boat and standing near the back railing. "At your service, then." There was a twicth of one corner of her mouth in what could of been a smile as Zhang He finally noticed his shoulder guard was on fire, and she regined in a laugh... Although there was a flash of amusement in her eyes. Xifeng pulls up some Soldiers, saving them from a Watery Grave while at the same time, helping Zhang He put the fires out on his boat!

Xiahou Dun, having broke rank to the south of the allied formation had his boat tugging along toward the shore. Zhu Jun behind him hopefully he could land easily and storm Dong Zhou's formation. At least that was his plan, and as he assumed Zhu Juns to.
"The chaos over there has died down, are cover will be blown if we don't land soon. Let's get going!"
Yet in the back of his mind he had the thought of getting there first, with what he knew was ahead of him he would probably just get Lu Bu mad and be the first victim. Regardless someone has to be the first person to do anything for anything to get done.
Xiahou Dun dosen't really do much of anything but prepares his eventual landing south of the allies postion.... What a Team Player!

“Zhang He thanks you!” Trying his best to keep his cool despite the fashion disaster at his shoulder, Junyi gave an exaggerated bow as he called back. He then set to putting out the fire, making a mental note to find out the lady’s name. With her help, the fire was quickly quenched; the boat’s hull was relatively intact, although Junyi noticed with considerable displeasure that the sails were ruined. Fortunately, he always kept spares. He sent men down to the storage area, where they brought up the backup sail. They set it up, and as it unfurled one of the men nearly fell form the mast from shock. As eyes slowly met the giant fabric, it became evident why: Junyi had insisted that the backup have a huge butterfly embroidered onto it. Amid a chorus of sighs and tears, Junyi addressed his remaining men. “Gentlemen, can see that you are moved by our beautiful sail, but please try your best to put it out of your mind for a moment…” “We’re not moved” interrupted one of the men, “We’re-“ “Shut up, Bao,” interjected another. Nonplussed, Zhang He resumed his speech. “As I was saying, we’ve suffered a setback, yes, but we can persevere! The rest of the fleet is approaching the other shore, where the traitor himself no doubt awaits us!” as the men whispered among themselves, he gestured toward Xifeng’s boat and continued, “Now we are reinforced, and we can avenge our previous defeat. I’m certain we are all more than ready to wreak our beautiful vengeance on them for this dastardly attack (and the los of my nail). Now then, let us show the traitors true beauty!” He flourished and posed as he finished. “Um, where did those butterflies come from?” “Shut up, Bao.” “Oh, that reminds me,” added Junyi, “Has there been any word of Qu Yi? I fear he may have been lost…” He turned about and stopped suddenly. “Oh my.” * * * * * It was an unrealistic goal. An impossible goal, really. How could twenty men single-handedly repulse wave after wave of attackers without backup? More importantly, how could so few men capture an enemy vessel? It seemed like the sort of thing one would read about in the ancient (and often fictionalized) histories. Not that Qu Yi ever read any history books. However, it was undeniable: at this rate, the enemy ship would be theirs, as would those next to it. The two ships connected to the middle one had been pouring men to stop Qu Yi’s inexorable advance, and not one had been successful. Unbelievably, all twenty-one of the swordsmen still stood, with Qu Yi at their head. He was the first to leap up on to the enemy boat, and the first to see the row of archers that had held back until this point. He tried to hop back down to the other ship, but the archers loosed their arrows just a second too soon; one of the projectiles grazed his shoulder, while another struck him in the calf. Luckily, none of the other men had made it up when they fired, and the swordsmen took the opportunity to surge over the railing and slaughter the archers as they sought to reload. As they did so, Qu removed the arrowhead and clumsily bound the wound with a part of his sleeve. He climbed slowly over the railing just in time to see the last of the archers fall. The twenty swordsmen then surrounded the terrified first mate, who was hacked to pieces. As Qu was about to declare the fight a victory, the captains of the other two ships appeared at either side of the ship, each accompanied by their first mate. It seemed that Qu Yi and his men had successfully slaughter each and every man on the three ships, save these four; however, it appeared that this final quartet was unwilling to go down without a prize of their own. Before his men could react, the quartet charged Qu Yi. In the split second he had to analyze the situation, Qu realized that it was hopeless: not only was his leg wounded, he was also missing one of his sword, which had fallen from his hand as he was shot. He resigned himself to his fate, content with the accomplishment he had achieved. As the four blades neared him, he reflected on the fight. It would make an impressive story. Such impossible odds, yet they stood where they were. Impossible odds… Qu Yi’s men turned about just in time to see the results of the final clash. For a moment, time stood still as twenty brains registered what forty eyes saw before them. The five combatants stood like a grotesque sculpture: Qu Yi’s sword was inches from one of the men’s necks, and both the sword’s intended victim and its owner were frozen. If one followed the arch of the failed strike, one could see that it coincided perfectly with the three headless corpses that stood in this moment surrounding Qu Yi. As the twenty brains comprehended this, the forty eyes noticed the weapons protruding from Qu Yi’s body: in this suicidal last stand, Qu had sustained a stab to the abdomen, a slash to the chest, and a blow to the head, although this last blow was absorbed somewhat by his helm. The final sword wavered inched from Qu’s side, held by the man Qu failed to kill. Qu Yi wearily sunk to his knees as time resumed its flow. In a flash it was over. The last man was swiftly set upon by twenty extremely angry swordsmen. Qu Yi was just barely conscious, bleeding heavily on the deck. The archers climbed onto the deck, and panic set in as the men tried desperately to bind their commander’s wounds. As they did, one of the men leaned close to Qu Yi and whispered. “The fleet should learn of our accomplishment. What should be done?” Qu Yi coughed up some blood and whispered a reply. * * * * * Zhang He gave orders to his men to move out, along with an invitation to Xifeng Yue to join him as they advanced toward the shore. However, en route, Junyi would make a point at stopping by a particular cluster of still-smoldering ships in the distance. Any doubt as to the location of Qu Yi had been dispelled. As Junyi’s ship began to move forward, he gave an audible laugh. In the distance, visible over the nine linked ships floating together, was a single flag bearing on it a crudely-drawn but unmistakable butterfly. - Zhang He has put out the fire on his ship. He has rallied his soldiers and is moving toward the enemy shore (after a detour to pick up Qu Yi).
- Qu Yi kinda took over three ships. As they say, ZOMGWTFBBQ. He’s kinda wounded bad, though.
- Zhang He has sent an invitation to Xifeng Yue (who’s name he still doesn’t know) to join him in pwning Dong Zhuo in the butt! (Metaphorically, of course. That’d be disgusting.)Zhang He’s Troops:50 Veteran Spear and Shield 40 Veteran Bow 20 Veteran Sword and Shield Qu Yi's Troops20 Veteran Sword and Shield (My god, how are they still alive?!) 20 Veteran Bowmen

"Yan! Men are diving overboard on the other ships!" cried Lu Rai to everyone's dismay. Cowards, thought Wei Yan as he brought around his battle axe.
"Fine then! Men topside on the double!" boomed Wei Yan as all his men moved from the rows and made their way to the deck before Wei Yan, forming rank. "Men! Do you seem there!? Do you see the fated diving to their doom! What do we say to cowardice!? Lu Rai!?" began Wei Yan.
"More killing for the rest of us!" answered Lu Rai. "Hoo-Rah!" echoed the soldiers.
"That's right! They want to die this early, let 'em! But us, men! We choose to taste the delicious taste of glory! We choose to roam the land seeking fame! We choose to die on the battlefield! Not in some water, not the straw death, not anything else! We come here, to this grass to fight for glory! Weapons to the sky! Show the enemy how fierce we are! Tigers they will call us! Tigers!" roared Wei Yan, bringing his battle axe to the sky and pumping it three times.
"Hoo-Rah!" One pump. "Hoo-Rah!" Two pumps. "Hoo-rah!" Three pumps. "Raaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!" Finished the men, as ready as they would ever be for battle.
By now, Lu Rai was so excited he was jumping at the wheel. Once he was sure the boat was fully on course for land, He rushed to the front of the ship, Spear and Shield brandished and bellowed long and loud for the enemy to hear.
"Here I Am! Lu Rai! Prepare Yourselves!" The words barely left his lips when Wei Yan responded. "And he comes bareing gifts! Wei Yan's Boar Tusk aches for blood!"
If they weren't ready for battle now, they never would be.

Wei Yan, Lu Rai, and their remaining troops rally for combat and ready to land!

Stunningly, the Allies survived the wicked assault of Dong Zhuo’s fire ships, though only just, with a handful of men clawing their way towards the shore, now encroaching upon it like a vicious tide. The closer they got to the shore, the sheer scale of the enemy they now had to fight become evident. With such few souls to their names, the volunteer generals would have to unite and work together to overcome the false emperor and his loyal, if delusional servants. Men such as Wei Yan and Zhang He were undoubtedly brave, having smashed their way through all onslaughts so far, perhaps their own enthusiasm would cause their downfall here. As soon as their boats would land on the beach, they would not be greeted with the comfort they solely needed, but a hail of precision arrows on this beautiful day. One figure however, would not dare treat his foes with such cowardice. The enemy shore began to rumble, particles of sand began to skitter along the surface in a dull beat, as 250 Elite Mounted Lancers stormed out to the front lines, clad in the regal armour of the pretender Dong Zhuo. Such magnificent adornments glistened in the sunlight, flashing their position to the Allied arrivals. But the greatest of glimmers came from one man’s mighty halberd, slicing through the air maliciously. “The scum made it after all! I’ll take them all down! I’ll make them wish they had drowned out there!” Lu Bu cackled to himself, slicing open a path into the air for Red Hare to pierce on through, his Elite Lancers swiftly following behind their general, though clearly unable to keep pace with the crimson stallion. Bu and his men halted just before reaching the shore, now mixed in with several hundred men belonging to Guo Si. The prodigious general smirked, and then reined back his horse, not before casting his piercing gaze out on the Allied boats once more. “Still not strong enough.. If they can make it past these lines, then they shall be ready to face me!” With another simple grunt, the general stormed off back to the main forces, leaving the front lines. His short presence here was one of warning, one of a villainous message to the Allies - Lu Bu was prime to strike at any time.

In the time she had taken to speak with and learn the name of Zhang He, a few more boats had pulled up into their position. The woman took a moment to scan them, assessing what she saw. Still the allied forces where scared, nervous; they were up against impossible odds, it seemed. What they needed was a directive, a goal to focus on. That part was simple- The Destruction of Dong Zhuo’s forces. Now, they just had to be rallied to see that this cause was indeed something they should fight for.
The woman smiled at Zhang He and recalled her troops to her boat, moving to take the stairs to the top deck two at a time. To make herself seen, she stood on the railing, the boat's gentle rocking in the otherwise calm water making her have to adjust to it as she prepared to speak. One Hundred and Fifteen (115) faces looked up at her, the extra having been saved from the water.
The Beautiful Devil's voice carried over her own boat, possibly to those around them as well. "Do not lose hope, my comrades! That Shore before us is where we will stand and fight the forces of the Intolerable Tyrant to prove that we will not be cowed by dirty tricks! You are here to prove that China will fight the Injustices brought upon us by Dong Zhuo and his men, not hide in our homes like scared children!" Xifeng reached behind her to grab her spear, the Demon Claw, and with a flick of her wrist, extended it to it's full length. She raised the hand that held the spear into the air, the blades and golden color of her impressive weapon gleaming in the light. "That Shore is where we will defeat Evil; That Shore is where we will prevail! Call upon all of your strength to fight like you never have before, for That Shore is where we make Our Stand!"
There was a roar from her men so loud that it shook the boat and startled the horses, possibly so loud that it could be heard at the shore that the woman had made into a object for one to obtain glory. Indeed, the speech seemed to energize the men, who now remembered why they were here, why they fought. Yue Xifeng smiled in triumph, turning and stepping off the railing to give the order to the man in charge of the boat. "Set course for the Enemy! No longer will I keep them waiting!" 15 Allied Soldiers are rescued from the water! The encouraging speech Xifeng gives boosts morale for those who hear it! The course is set to the other side of the river! The Beautiful Devil accepts Zhang He's invitation to fight together!

Zhou Tai stands at the head of his boat. His shoulders are thrown back, and he continues his speech from before (in the last battle thread). "Listen, mt men. What we have done is survived a last ditch effort of the enemy troops to send up back. But we have shrugged off their futile attempts. We have thrown their best chance of defeating us aside." he said while facing the enemy shore.
A soldier from his ranks spoke. "We are honored to fight for you, Zhou Tai!"
Zhou Tai smiled, and then turned around. "You know what, friends? I am honored to fight for you."
His troops beemed at this, and began the war cry again with Zei Fang. "HUZZAH! HUZZAH! HUZZAH!"
*Zhou Tai has prepared his men with a tear-wrenching speech!*[/i]

"Hurry Fei! We are late!"
Spoke the general with the magnificent beard. He had boarded his ship with his brother Zhang Fei beforehand, but them collecting their remnants of troops had taken slightly longer than the other officers of the allied forces. They were late to arrive and had noticed that the allied lines were in a slight disarray. Guan Yu sighed with disappointment in his arrival and turned to his brother.
"Brother Fei. We must assist them in recovering their troops. There are plenty in the water and more look disheartened. Try and be encouragin."
Guan spoke to Zhang, in a pleadful voice of his last sentence. He knew how Fei could get and he himself wasn't one to completely make another feel better. Thats what their brother was good at so they would just have to do their best. Guan looked at the allied boats. They were quite a ways from a shore where it seemed that the Dong forces had been awaiting them. Guan and Zhang would get there later, but they would assuredly get there.
As Guan looked over the side of his boat he could see bodies floating. Trying to look out to see who was alive or not, the boat had started to slow down thanks to the dying winds. Guan looked to his men with a serious face, one in which he'd give to Zhang Fei if he was scolding him.
"Alright men. We missed out last time. That means we'll have to fight with greater vigor and ferocity than we ever had. We must not fail our allies. Now. Get to helping those men onto the boats."
Guan had arrived after the previous confrontation and has ordered his men to start bringing men into the boats that were in the water.

Gongsun Zan will help the Holy teacher Zhang Jiao onto his boat, two old men who would probably share many a story if given the time.
Either way, Zan was more intent on bringing the fight to his enemy. He did a quick rescue of any bodies nearby his boat, but then had his men push on.
Our fight is on the land, not the sea!
His men gave a chutzpatic cheer, and began to prepare for war...

This is Retarded...
Zhang Ren's vessel trudged forward slowly. In the initial attack/smash into enemy ships, it seemed most of his oars had been snapped as well. All in all he had about 6 or seven oars left. His men did their best but still the vessel went forward, and even then still filling with water. HE had issued orders to his men to move as far back as they could, attempting to tilt the boat back slightly, letting less water get in at a time.
Every now and then an allied ship would sail past, sending waves out, forcing more water into the ship. Right about now Zhang Ren couldn't hate his allies more. "ROW FASTER DAMN IT! ONCE WE ARE OFF THIS BLOODY SHIP WE CAN ACTUALLY GET SOME FIGHTING IN!" Zhang turned and addressed his men further. "In the initial raid we were unable to get any true action. And even here we didn't get much but a sinking ship. The enemy will soon know of our true ability in combat."
Ren began to look about his boat, some of his men were administering first aid to each other. Some were enlightened by his random speech. Others were fishing men out of the water as best they could. Every now and then they would try and aid an Imperial troop, who would either accept the aid, or end with a sword or axe in his skull. It seemed to Ren as if the day could not get any worse...
-Zhang Ren's ship moves very slowly forward. As the other allies just move on past, or are to busy fishing for dead. -Ren tries to limit the sinking of his ship. -I have no idea what Liu Pi is doing. -Ren attempts to rally his troops, but doesn't do so well. -Ren's troops attempt to fish for men themselves, aiding the odd one out of the water.

In-Battle Post "A beautiful speech," Zhang He mused to himself as he heard Xifeng's rally. As his ship made its way toward the mass of ships where Qu Yi was, Junyi bade his men drag fishing nets over the sides of the ship, so as to trawl up a few survivors. Any surviving allies were sent to the back of the ship, where towels and a small, heavily-controlled bonfire had been prepare to dry off the soaked men. Contrary to the Xifeng's cold treatment of enemy soldiers, Junyi merely had them bound and gave them used towels to dry up. No sense in slaughtering the defeated, Junyi reasoned. There was an unexpected third catch; occasionally the nets would lift a walrus out of the water. The men recoiled at the sight of the strange animals, having never seen them before, and quickly dropped them back into the river. Zhang He, however, smiled to himself when he saw them. He didn't know why, but their appearance made him feel like he was keeping a promise made some time ago, though he didn't know when. Maybe in a past life. When the ship had neared Qu Yi's location, Junyi quickly discerned what his lieutenant had been up to. Corpses littered the decks of both the smoldering wrecks joining the ships and the larger enemy boats. From an initial sweep of the decks, Junyi was surprised to spot no men wearing the colors of the allies. On the nearest fireship, the survivors were bunched together against the rail, calling to Zhang He's ship. As soon as the boat was close enough to be boarded, the men leaped over the railing onto Junyi's craft. A number of them collapsed when they landed, exhausted. The remainder shouted all at once, some begging for food, others for water, some merely for a listener to hear of their glorious exploit. Junyi tried to quiet them, to no avail. Then, out of the press of men, a pair of the swordsmen came, carrying a still-bleeding Qu Yi between them. "He's hurt bad, commander. He could use some medi-" "Ew, he's bleeding on me. Can we put him down yet?" "Shut up, Bao." "SILENCE!" Junyi bellowed, his voice dropping several octaves as he did so. The men fell quiet as Junyi stepped over to Qu Yi, who feebly raised his head. "I...I bet that was glory..." he paused and coughed up a small trickle of blood, "...enough for Yuan Shao." he smiled weakly as Junyi gently placed a hand upon Qu's shoulder. "A most beautiful gift, Qu Yi. I'm sure Yuan Shao will be pleased." He turned to one of the sailors trawling the nets as the man let out a yelp and dropped another hapless walrus into the river. "You there, get me my cosmetics bag. I have some bandages in there. We must tend to lieutenant Qu's wounds." To the other soldiers, he shouted. "Now, onward, to Dong Zhuo!" "Huzzah!" - Zhang He has retrieved Qu Yi, snagging some drifting allies (and enemies (and walri)) in the process. His ship now moves toward the shore while the wounded are tended to. "Your the only one whose late,Yu! I was saving He Jin while you were back there hiding!"
Zhang Fei shouted at Guan Yu half-jokingly as he hauled one of He Jin's Soggy Veterans from the River.Fei had rescued a handful of them and as his ship sailed after He Jin,he continued to drag the petrified Soldiers from the Murky Waters.
After a while,Fei had rescued 43 Veterans from the Battle.Yide smirked and walked over to group of Soldiers he saved.
"Alright, thats the last of the survivors over here.Anyway, since i saved yer hides your gonna fight for me until this battle is over! Got that!?"
Fei figured that his speech was encouraging enough for Guan Yu and he walked across his ship to the Lookout, who was perched next to the Navigator. With a gruff tone,Fei spoke to the young lad.
"Hey,lookout.Do you know how many died or anything like that?"
"Well, sir. It looks like Zhang Jiao and General He Jin lost their ships.About a fourth of our allies have died,Morale is low,and i'm not sure, but i believe Zhang He lost a nail."
Hearing this,Zhang Fei threw his back and laughed. He spoke again after a few moments.
"So,Butterfly lost a fingernail to Dong Zhuo! Ha ha ha! I wonder if he'll still be able to fight."
"Sir,please.I don't think Zhang He is that fragile! He's a warrior like you!"
"Heh,i've seen Zhang He.He ain't a warrior like me,but he is a warrior.I got a good look at him back at Camp."
"Sir!?"
Seeing his Lookout turn a shade of Red,Fei laughed again and walked back towards the front of his ship.He hooked his thumbs onto his pantsline as he laughed.
Zhang Fei rescued 43 of He Jin's Veterans from the River, they are now under his orders until the battle is over.Zhang Fei's Ship sails after He Jin and Lu Zhi to form up with them.

''So we have arrived?''
''Yes, My Lord.''
Liu Bei with his two swords held in both arms. He had been held back but is here to provide support his two brothers were already here. He had no time to run around the battlefield trying to find them. He was already briefed on the battle situation and it was time to turn the battle in their favor.
"Raise the banner. Prepare to disembark"
As soon as the ship was ready for everyone to get off Liu Bei wasted no time in getting into the mix of things his 100 veterans and himself should hopefully get the allied morale up some more. He stood at the front of the ship his men behind him in formation. His virtue would shine today.
"Lets go! For virtue"
Liu Bei raised his twin swords up in the air. A officer in his unit looked out of the boat to see some soliders drowning in the river pretty close towards Liu Bei's ship. The men of Liu Beis unit knew what answer he would give them so they wasted no time in helping the men out of the water. As Liu Bei turned around.
"Well done."
Liu Bei and his veterans have landed. Rescued 20 soldiers under Liu Bei's orders. He is raising their morale.
