The one eyed general of wei came in at the head of a unit of horsemen right behind the other late wei general. Xiahou Dun and his spear equiped horsemen pulled up at a stead gallop seeing that there was next to nothing that his men could do for the moment. Only archers or bowmen could really do anything since the enemy was already in retreat on boats. So they brokedown into a trot and came up right behind Yuan.
"Well if your actions and movements aren't as quick and rash as ever, cousin Cao would be impressed."
His horsemen came along Xiahou Yuan's right flank of his unit and came to a stop. Dun was sill looking out over the water watching the boats fleeing.
"Now are you planning to at least talk to the main imperial army? Or are we just going to stand here and act on are own?"
Xiahou Dun arrives with 100 veteran Spear and Sheild weilding horsemen and talks with Xiahou Yuan

((Zhou Tai isn't doing anything pressing right now, so I wasn't sure what to post...))
"Indeed. Indeed..." Zhou Tai said as Zhang He dismounted with Dong Min. As Zei Fang arrived, Zhou Tai turned his mount to face Zei Fang. "Head count?"
"We have 85 warriors left." Zei Fang said. as the warriors all got into their lines behind him. "The remaining are all in excellent shape, not even tired. Although, it's probably adrenaline." Zei Fang explained as he put his sword in place along his back.
Zhou Tai turned to face He Jin. "Grand Commander, My men and I await your orders."[/i] he said.
*Zhou Tai and his men are awaiting orders!*[/b]

So the allies had survived the vicious night raid from Dong Zhuo’s forces, all that was left were the hundreds of carcasses strewn across the fields, and the foul stench of blood, sweat, and flames mixed into the air. The victorious could bask in their early victory, and fire insulting barbs along with their chasing arrows towards the fleeing Niu Fu. The wounded however were in limbo, they faced the pains of their fallen brethren, yet could not enjoy the success of the battle along with their fellow living counterparts. Indeed it seemed they were left forgotten by many of the volunteers - only the Han opened their hearts to spare some reverence to these men. But even then their attention seemed too focussed upon retribution and punishment; the drunken Zhang Fei seemed to garner more attention than most, as did the formerly rebellious Zhang Jiao. Some however, had their minds elsewhere. Staying close to his lord, He Jin, Huangfu Song cast his gaze around to his fellow soldiers, and the mighty generals that crowded the landing bays nearby. Dismounting from his steed, and removing his helm, he let out a brief sigh, and began walking through the masses of men still standing - lucky, and ignorant, he thought. “Get a camp built up here, quick! The sick are being treated, slowly; we can speed this up by getting more organised!” Song then moved back to aid some of the fallen warriors, establishing a brief outpost near the shore. Many of the remaining supplies were brought closer to these boats, where it seems the launching pad for the full invasion would stand. He hoped however that the men were well enough to fight, and that the injured were properly treated. “We’ll get the bastards soon troops! Get some of the men on the boats and move them out! We need not any of this in-fighting!” The Han general shook his head, placing his helm back upon his head, and fixing it neatly. He sauntered back towards the main lines, having sent a few dozen men to make preparations. He might not have been listened to by his superiors, but he knew of what needed to be done. *Huangfu Song is establishing a base camp and is aiding the wounded - he urges He Jin to begin the invasion!*

"Son of a..." Xiahou Yuan mumbled under his breath as the one he was aiming for, Niu Fu, just got away. It was the wind, of course it was! The great Xiahou Yuan never misses. Turning to those watching, he loudly exclaimed. "Of course, the wind ruined my shot. I never miss!" Clearly no one cared as to whether or not his aim was on target, as most were leaving now. The horse bowmen chuckled under their breath, Yuan was certainly entertaining to be around. They would never throw their loyalty away either, despite his cynical nature, Yuan was a gifted leader. They couldn't wait to practice their newest method on the enemy. The newest formation was deadly. But, back to the story...
Dun, Yuan's brother, appeared behind the rash leader. Yuan chuckled at the words of his brother, he was always the calm and restrained one. "Well, I can't trust you with everything. You always take too long to get the job done. Me? I just get out there and exterminate them." The horsemen turned around, as well as their leader. Xiahou Yuan scanned the allied beach, looking for the commander known as He Jin. Seeing the man, he stroked his goatee. Whispering to Dun, making sure no one heard. "Ithink he wishes he was Cao Cao. Although, his inept leadership will allow us to shine like the blazing fire we are, brother."
Summary
Err...Xiahou Yuan is intent on killing Niu Fu in their next encounter. Also, Yuan explains to Dun his disliking of He Jin.

The first skirmish had seemingly finished, and the second was beginning, Zhuo separatists showing their true colors by trading into the Zhuo faction.
Bastards!
Gongsun Zan was at the head of his column of veterans, 100 strong, all armed to the teeth, Spear and shield sitting atop a white horse, glistening with sweat from riding a distance. He arrived at the main camp, to the leader of the Han encampment. He looked around, and shouted;
"I am Gongsun Zan! I have come to aid the Han in destroying Dong Zhuo! Who is in charge here!?"

Zhou Tai saw the strange man come towards him, and he nodded his head towards his right. "That would be Grand Commander He Jin. " Zhou Tai said as he cocked an eyebrow at the man, his right hand near his blade, but not dangerously close to it.

Gongsun Zan nodded to the man, obviously not in any position to lead, more than likely just a lowly ruffian thinking himself important. Of course, Zan, being a smart man, voiced not his concern on who the man was, but where his hand was.
"Stay your hand boy, lest you find yourself in a dire straight. I may be older than you, and a bit frailer, but I can still fight with the best of them!"
Zan turned towards the man who was nodded to, and saluted, a bowed head with a fist to an open palm. He stayed that way while speaking.
"I am Bogui, Gongsun Zan, General of the Baima Cavalry, leader of men! I am here to assist the Han in destroying Dong Zhuo. Allow me to assist, and I assure you that they will be run through with my spears!"

Zhou Tai smiled at this man. "Don't worry, I believe you. Oh... and don't call me boy." he said as he turned away to talk with Zei Fang. "Zei Fang, you need not worry. I will never turn into someone like that. There are some rules you will learn eventually, the first being to treat people with respect. If you don't, you will recieve none in return. Second, you should not make promises you can't keep." he said to Zei Fang as he walked towards his men. "Sit, men, and rest. We will be leaving soon, so you should get your rest while you can."
His men responded with a happy sigh, and as they sat down and sheathed their weapons, they began talking among themselves.

Zhang He glanced at the newcomer and laughed.
"Ha ha, wonderful timing, General Bogui. Not only have you just missed the battle, you seem to have most gracelessly rubbed one of its heroes the wrong way," Junyi tossed his hair over his shoulder as he added, "In any case, hopefully you'll be able to make good on your most beautiful promise soon. Dong's vanguard has been routed, but I'm certain you'll find plenty of opportunities to prove your zeal," he turned on his heel and began to walk off, "Now if you'll excuse me, I must go and work on my delivery."

Xiahou Dun had come closer to Yuan as he began whispering his words. He had to keep the laughter inside though, as it would be an open insult to the grand commander of the imperial forces.
"Yuan, your almost as quick with that mouth as well let's try not to run cao cao's name through the muck by repersentation here."
He said this not in a whisper but not so loud ether, enough so the soilders around them would here it. That would mostly be there own men whom were also repersenting cousin cao.
Then turning his attention to the general adressing the group as a whole, apparently a man very close to He Jin and thusly close to the top in the chain of command. And yet no one seemed to be following his orders.
"Alright follow that generals lead over there, I want a third of you the gather and manage are horse and equipment, a second third should help gather the sick or wounded and the final lot should begin setting up camp. Let's go."
He said adressing his own men, then tugging his reigns and moving to head toward the general who just spoke, Huangfu Song. Leaving the orgnization to his lieutenant.
"Hello, and pardon me but by the orders you speak you seem to be very close to the top around here, my name is Xiahou Dun and rather than bothering He Jin himself I'd figure to bring my questions to you. Simple put what has happened and how can my men help. I've asked them to divide into thirds to set a camp, help the sick or wounded and the last to just keep are steeds and spears ready and together. Since we missed the prior action I would gladly voulnteer are services at the forefront of the next encounter."
Spoke with Xiahou Yuan and Huangfu Song, had men begin help the wounded and setup a camp

Post by Wei Yan on Jul 7, 2008 0:10:02 GMT -5
Rage had finally consumed him. "The Blood Seeker" Lu Rai had called him, and the name was very reasonable. While Rai Had taken full control of the troops and their movements, continuing to push them on during the chase of Niu Fu, Wei Yan was roaring and twirling his spear like a needle weaving together all the bodies.
Soon he was having to peel two or three men off his spear shaft, the weight was just too much for his liking, not his ability. Wei Yan had found a mass of enemy soldiers and was wreaking havoc in their ranks. Finally, it was almost too easy as he saw one couragous soul rush him head on. His spear was like a bolt of a ballista as he launched it with all his strength into the man's chest. Then, he was unarmed, for a moment...
Dodging in and out of blows; Wei Yan was seen grabbing skulls, arms, legs, hilts, shafts, a blade once, and just breaking people. Then instinct kicked in and he pulled his battle axe from his back.
"Fear the Boar's Gore!" Yan roared as he buried the axe full into a man's torso.
It didn't take long for Lu Rai to realize Niu Fu was out of his men's grasp, and with that he turned to try and aid or calm his friend. So, instead he sent the men back to aid his friend. Every remaining soul under Lu Rai's command returned to surround the Berserker. Rai knew that his best chance to calm his friend was to just make him unable to kill anymore.
Soon the all the enemies were gone though. It was true that Wei Yan and his men had only arrived at the turning of the battle, sadly. After a few moments, Yan was calm again and had retrieved his spear.
Within the next passing of time, Wei Yan had Lu Rai lead the men to aid in the camp construction He Jin's men were working on, and Yan himself made his way over to this Dark Figure he had rushed to aid. The man had been quite a sight to behold in the thick of battle, and had even called to Yan, so possibly it would be honorable to return to favor of words.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wei Yan rages, then calms down. Lu Rai leads remaining troops of Yan's to help build or rebuild the camp. Wei Yan makes his way over to Dagoth Ur to exchange words.
He Jin nodded to Zhang Jiao and was glad that he had decided to strike back against Dong Zhuo at an opportune time for the allies. Actually, it was mutually beneficial seeing as how Jiao’s men, by themselves, could not get the necessary task done. They needed to combine their efforts along with many other brave heroes who had strong soldiers backing them. A few more allied officers had arrived, thirsty for battle, and they immediately moved to the beach; hunting cowardly enemies. While many others were moving toward the river, soldiers were still heading back toward the main camp for medical treatment as well. Huangfu Song, another high ranking general, had ordered a small camp built for easier access to supplies as the main assault would be launched from the beach. He Jin nodded to Song, who had voiced his feelings toward the enemy and the next move. The morning was breaking through the night and a new day would be upon the allies. They had already beaten back Dong Zhuo’s raid so whatever else the fat man had in store would be no problem. The Commander ordered his soldiers to start moving toward the river where the allied boats and some left over enemy vessels were located. “I want to make sure we arrive on the enemy shore together so stay close!” he yelled, to all present who were listening. With the amount of officers and their veteran soldiers it would be no problem moving on the enemy beach. The problem was facing the likes of Lu Bu and Hua Xiong in open combat. He Jin was not sure if any of the warriors under his command could best such beasts of war. “Very well, take a few more minutes to gather yourselves.”He Jin had noticed Gongsun Zan arrive and the general of the north made his way over to speak with the Commander. He was informed of the plan and thanked for his aid with the Han’s cause. “Yes, many a story of the White Riders I have heard! he said, walking by Zan and nodding. “Let us go now, and finish this!”The Commander gave the orders. Either the allies could take a few more minutes to prepare or move toward the boats and make for the enemy shore!
Zhang Ren Arrives... FinallyZhang Ren and his 90 troops that hadn't gone over with Liu Pi came up to the allied shore camp. To Zhang's surprise he saw the Great Zhang Jiao, one Liu PI had told him much about. There could be no doubt this was the Zhang Jiao of the Yellow Turbans. Zhang Ren gave brisk orders to his men to begin aiding in taking care of the wounded.
After a few minutes of searching for He Jin, without any luck oddly, Ren heard the Grand Commander give out orders to invade. Zhang stumbled upon on of his men and gave him orders to get Ren's troops ready and on a boat.
Zhang Ren himself sought out He Jin. Following where the voice had come from Zhang found He Jin. Ren gave a quick military style salute and began speaking to the Grand Commander."General, I bring promising news to you. One of my men, a man named Liu Pi, has managed to sneak aboard the Imperial vessels, and even now begins to act as a spy for us. I did not mention this sooner for if it failed, I did not want to get the allies hopes up, only to have them dashed in flames." Zhang Ren stood and awaited the generals response.********* Aboard the Imperial vessel Liu Pi whispered to his men to begin making themselves inconspicuous by chatting it up with their boat neighbors. The topics on everyone's mind was the supposed return of the Yellow Turbans, the capture of Dong Min, Dong Zhou's brother, or the complete and utter failure of an assault they just failed at.
Liu Pi made his way up to Niu Fu. Once he neared Niu Fu he cleared his throat. "My Lord Niu Fu. I just wanted you to know that some of the men aboard this vessel tried to leave without your Illustrious Sir aboard." Pi began to wring his hands, he tried to make it look as though it was from being nervous talking to so famous a Han General, but in all honesty, Liu Pi was sure it wouldn't work."Me and some truly loyal Han servants forced the men off the boat, slaying them with our own hand, for one such as yourself needn't bother with such trivialities." Liu Pi made a very low bow to Niu Fu. "I just wanted to let your Lordship know of such things." -Zhang Ren arrives at the Allied Shoreline. -Liu Pi tries to suck up to Niu Fu, playing upon Niu Fu's love of himself.(As well as having Liu Pi degrade himself to utter extremes in the process.)
There was a new development in the battle, well not new, just more of it. More fire. Thats He Jin's unit! Ba Zeng thought to himself. He pulled on his horse's reins as it gridded down to a stop. He rubbed his eyes again, then his ears picked up something. A cry of help. Ba Zeng looked to his right, on the ground was a wounded soldier. He moaned, it looked like he was struggling to move. Blood covered his face, his arm was slashed. His uniform... it wasn't Han.
Ba Zeng felt compelled to help the poor soldier caught up in this lowly war. With a sigh of sympathy, he dismounted his horse. He could see He Jin's unit from his position. Ba Zeng was near a shallow forest. He could see Dong Zhou's boats.
Ba Zeng took a step towards the wounded Zhou soldier. A shame. He tossed his water skin to the soldier, who promptly was drinking every drop of it.
"Halt! Who goes there!"
A ruffian looking man in a Han uniform comes running out of the forest, accompanied by a squad, soon more men start to pour out of the forest. Must've been a hundred men at least. The guy had a arrow pointed at Ba Zeng's head. Better drop my name...
"It is I, Ba Zeng, diplomat and consultant of the Han royal courts. I was on my way to He Jin's side, but apparently they're being engulfed in flames right now. What is a hundred or so men doing hiding in a bush."
The soldiers looked a bit shock to find Ba Zeng so far out in the battlefield, with his only companion being a horse. Instantly they saluted him. One of the men spoke.
"Uh, we were setting an ambush sir, but it looks like they never came this way..."
"Your right, all of you! Form up on me and let us aid-" Ba Zeng stopped abruptly, no one spoke, the man on the ground was spitting out blood. Making quite a ruckus.
"We need to patch this man up..." Ba Zeng crouched to his side and checked his body for his wounds. "His arm is just slashed... hurry someone give me their tunic!"
"That soldier sir... he's with Zhou..." A younger looking private said as a group gathered around Ba Zeng. One of the veterans pulled off his Han tunic and offered it to Ba Zeng, revealing a body with many scars and toned muscles. These men are veterans? Ba Zeng looked up at the younger looking fella, He's not a veteran...
"It doesn't matter! Someone help me move him onto my horse!" Ba Zeng snapped at the young man. He wrapped the tunic around his arm and tied it tightly, applying pressure and probably stopping the bleeding. Ba Zeng took his water skin. There wasn't much left in it. The younger soldier aided Ba Zeng to carry the wounded Zhou soldier onto Ba Zeng's horse.
"So what now? We're under your command now right Ba Zeng?"
"Your right, all of you! March with me, we're headed to your grand commander's aid! heres fires to fight and bodies to be piled!
The wounded Zhou soldier passed out while clinging to Ba Zeng's horse. Ba Zeng walked beside the horse, and behind him a new column of men under his command. He Jin would be relieved to see Ba Zeng. Hopefully. However to Ba Zeng's regret, he would still be alive.
ooc: oh i missed a lot.
Lu Zhi was beside himself with rage that Niu Fu had managed to escape and Lu Zhi had failed in killing a simple pathetic dumb fool like him. The insult just added to his rage. He currently gathered up all his troops which numbered 80 in all while 20 others had perished in the battle. Lu Zhi could not help but sigh in sadness.
After reforming up his army he went in search of Commander He Jin to hear the next part of the plan. When he eventually found the Commander someway further down the shoreline he arrived just in time to hear the next part of the plan, seeing the Commander was a big relief to Lu Zhi to. He and his troops marched up to the nearest boat he was going to set sail and kill that blasted Niu Fu. He laughed outloud to himself at the thought of it.
"Niu Fu shall perish."
