Hmm, i'm not 100% sure if i agree here.
The PS3 is selling way more then it did, and because of the drop in prices they are definitely equal to the Xbox in selling terms - or so every damn game shop has told me through the midlands. I'm not sure about general statistics, but the PS3 also had the Blue Ray which no other console has, and since it will MOST likely take over the dvd platform with the Blue ray cd's and dvd's other consoles will need to purchase the rights to install that drive.
You also can't forget Sony produce shit loads more then Xbox products, so whatever they lose they'll make back regardless, I don't really geek out of consoles no more - I'm to old to really give a damn, but still - PS3 isn't crap, and altho i want both consoles, i'd definitely purchase the Ps3 first, just because in my opinion, it looks better, its generally better, graphics are better and..yeah - its better,
Xbox releases things every damn year, whilst the PS3 took god knows how long to create, i can't see Song using all that time to produce something that sucks. i bet anymoney when your seeing the Xbox 600 the ps3 will still be around, just look at how long the PS2 was buying and selling for, now yeah PS3 won't meet those standards but, Sony will definitely outlast Xbox..any console..anytime.
That's my verdict.

Its all about the money in my eyes. Majority of people that buy these machines do it for their younger kids - and they get the cheapest console. It's why the Wii was so popular, because it was cheap (albeit I could contest that with the novelty factor..). The 360 is the cheaper out of the main two, and it came out earlier, got on the market quicker, and had the games available, and now continues to have all the games. Because you can pretty much buy all games on both consoles now - the 360 is what the casual gamer will go for - because its cheaper. (hardcore gamers would buy all of them anyway..) It all depends what you want. The PS3 is the better overall machine - having the blu-ray capabilities puts it leagues ahead of the 360 as an overall piece of technology. When blu-ray first came out, a blu-ray player alone would cost more than a PS3, so its "expensive" price was an absolute bargain considering what you were getting. But, if you just want a gaming console, the 360 wins hands down. Xbox has got Microsoft behind them, so I think the whole making/losing money point is null. Besides, its not a case of "making back" the money, they dont want to lose money in the first place. As a side note I seem to remember the PSP losing Sony crap loads of money, because it was.. well, pants. Either way, the FF news is a big blow to the PS3 - theyre gonna need to sharply bring down the price of their console in order to compete now.

Vash. Your PS3 is fucked up then. Ive had mine for a year and through all the updates all have installed perfectly. Also Xbox both systems each lost microsoft 4 billion dollars. While it has been made up with their other divisions that hurts. The PS3 has only lost 2.6 billion so far. Yes thats large to us but compared to a total 8 billion for Micro id take it. This is all according to a CNN special dont know why it was on probably E3.

I would say Nintendo is winning, I'm partial to their side. Also I would just like to say that I was very disappointed in the Too Human demo. The controls sucked and the camera control sucked, alright graphics I guess. Still I don't like it.

Nah. I had mines for about half a year..been updating like fucking crazy. I play it for a while and then stop playing it after maybe two or three days. They just dont seems fun on the PS3, 360 just...feels better to me.
In order to gain some then you must lose some also. No matter how much it is or the difference both systems have.
All in all...every system has their unique concepts. I have all three of the systems but I play the 360 more, then the Wii and last is the PS3. Since I beat MGS4 on Big Boss and replayed it and all that other shit...nothing out for me and the PS3. Might sell it and get me the 120 this Christmas

I can understand that vash. I have all 3 too. My PS3 I play the most though. I usually by multi system games on there probably because I had a PS2 before.

Hmm... I don't have all three. Just the 3. HA! but all three have been played. Best Friend has a 360 and... apparently my sister's school has a Wii lab and when I went with her to her open house they go their whenever its raining in their PE class when they're supposed to go outside... who knew lol.(spoiled brats... the school was a lot cheaper when I went... we had to go outside and if we couldn't we watched movies)
Sorry got off track. I don't really think in high of terms as you all since I just do it for my enjoyment and not to say "WE OWN IT -censor patrol-! YOU ALL CAN KISS OUR -censor patrol-" but I've pretty much been a PS male since I was able to play a game... and FF7 helped me read who said games rotted the mind. But the thing with the 3 in my eyes is that... thanks to the head start the other systems got the companies became impatient and signed on with them, don't know if its true but thats what I think, and when the 3 finally made its long awaited appearance it didn't have too many games for it on the other hand it was like the others had an army of games with their release.
Also the lack of a good long storyline kinda killed it for me. Back to the good ol' four disc days. The games don't really last long enough for me and I usually get bored with them quicker. I am not a MGS fan and I never have been only played snake eater when I was bored. Yet I still say that the 3 is a good system without it. FF... one of my more favored RPGs but I can do without one thing that did catch my attention on the 3 was that it had quite a bit of features too it. I was on it checking out this site last night.
What was I even supposed to talk about? How could I forget so easily.... oh yeah! I'm too lazy to check for all these updates and I probably am gonna have to get them all tonight when I get home, but overall the 3 has damn good graphics to me, my brother was playing DW6 on it and I was just watching, taking in these I never really noticed before. The land is awesome on it. I'm kinda hoping for an RTK game to come out on it.. no matter how low the chances of that is, but it would attract a few more buyers to the 3... at least thats what I think. and remake Suikoden 2... and continue with the Suikoden series...

Replace Suikoden 2 with 3 and I pretty much agree with your post (never played Suikoden 2 ). Xbox 360 is a lot better than the current-gen system Sony vomited out. I was a long time Sony fan until this current-gen, and after that I decided to ditch both the PS3 and Xbox 360 for something simpler, because I've become a much more casual gamer. Hence, I have a Wii. In any case, Sony is boned with tons of companies making games for the 360 now. To be frank, a big reason I didn't get a 360 was the whole red ring of death thing, but aside from that, the 360 is a pretty good console. The release of Piss [and] Sh*t 3 and Piss [and] Sh*t Portable (take your excrement with you on the fly!) pretty much ended my Sony fandom. Both systems massively disappointed me in every way conceivable. It was as if Sony decided that they were dominating the market so much that they could practically ship a bag filled with flaming dog poop into stores throughout the nation, label it their new console and expect said console to sell en masse as all their hivemind consumers rushed to pick it up and sniff it lovingly. No, f*ck that. I don't give a damn about blu-ray. I buy gaming systems for the games, and the only thing Playstation 3 has going for it at all is Metal Gear Solid 4. Beyond that, Xbox 360 has everything it has and more. Further, the price tag and many other objectional features of the Playstation 3 ruin it. As for the PSP, it's so outclassed in sales, great games, and wifi by the DS that it's not even worth a tacit mention, but here I am giving it one anyways just because my RAAAAAAAAGE for Sony has become so vast. Oh and since the title of this thread is E3 convention, E3 is a steaming pile of fail. I live in California, and even I would never even set foot in LA while the convention center has it going on. It. sucks. Don't go there. Ever.
