Chang An unfolded before the two warriors, Wei Yan and Lu Rai, both mounted on their horses, quite the host of men behind them. It had taken them far longer than they first realized to arrive at Chang An, due to people stopping them and asking them about the battle between He Jin's Loyalists and Dong Zhuo's rebels. Mainly people wanted to know how the two had faired against Lu Bu and how they still lived.
One man even went so far as to ask them if the mighty Lu Bu really was a demon. With that, both men had to laugh and bit and shake their heads. Though they made sure to give full credit to Lu Bu to Xifeng Yue, Qu Yi, and above all, Sun Yuan Ci. It didn't seem right taking any glory for a battle they didn't get to see from the beginning or to the end.
After nearly a week, the two found themselves outside Chang An's gates and looking up at a few guards stationed there. Lu Rai looked over the place and smiled a bit. "Yes Yan, I do believe this place will be good for relaxation."
Wei Yan laughed slightly and nodded before addressing the guards. "You there, guards of Chang An, do you have room for Wei Yan and his host?"

The guards were no doubt impressed by who was standing before them, the mighty Wei Yan of the Luo Yang battle, but such a large force would be inviting disaster into their city. Instead, the two brave officers would be allowed in with a small escort, if necessary, and the remaining troops could camp outside the walls. "Ah yes, we have all heard of your great deeds in bringing revenge to our fallen Emperor" one guard stated, moving forward and bowing. Both guards asked Wei Yan if the stories of him leading the vanguard against overwhelming odds was true. They wanted to hear it right from his mouth so that they could tell their friends. "You did not really stand there and 200 arrows cut out your figure in the sand behind!" the other guard said, seeming to be part of the secret Wei Yan fan club. He even had a T-Shirt underneath his armor, but that was besides the point. The guards gained their composure and told Yan of the conditions for entry before sighing in jealousy. One day they would be heroes like the two men before them, but that was after they graduated from gate guard school. -The escort may be 20 soldiers of your choice-

Wei Yan had to laugh at the question. Honestly, most of the Beach battle his adrenaline was spiking so hard he couldn't remember much, so Lu Rai made sure the story was told and that the guards were informed that the two warriors and their host would be hoping to make a home here. They made sure the men knew that their host would be used to defend the city if need be and they dare not make themselves useless. They would work as much as possible to help rebuild the city.
Finally Wei Yan had to stop Lu Rai from rambling on. The two warriors, along with twenty spear and shield elites made their into the city. First stop, the barracks as to sleep for the night.

After some thought, huddling together in secret, the guards decided that they did not want to fight anyone should the city come under attack. So, they would take the offer of Wei Yan's defense and allow all his army entrance.
The gates open for the rest of Yan's men.

It was late in the afternoon, with a little drizzle and mist outside, the weather hasn't been very coopretive with Meng, though he didn't have a problem with rain, he just doesn't feel in the mood to be having weather like this. It was raining towards the begining of the day, and since it began raining very hard earlier, and died down, the grass was very damp as the mud got deeper and thicker as the day went on.
The magnificent city of Chang An was just in plain site from where Lu Meng was. About 15-25 yards away from the city, the city was big even being do far from the walls. Having many days past since the Major battle with the Allied forces and Dong Zhou. Meng did his part in that battle by capturing Wang Yun along with the help of Xing Cai, but it wasn't enough to make his name stick in the minds of the many Generals, that heard and participated in the battle, Meng played a little role in the battle though it was alright for him.
Mounted on his brown steed was Meng, plated in brown and a red crimson amour, which was medium weight, and was somewhat wet due to the light drizzle, the steed was also a little wet, the horseshoes was a little muddy, but could still move with ease. The horse was at a slow trot, just to ease his way to the city gates, Meng was holding the reins tightly and somewhat, hunhed downard leaning on the horse.
The new ruler of this city Wei Yan, a man that fought very well and made his mark in the Dong Zhou battle, lead this city. He and Meng got somewhat aquinted in the battle, due to a ship hitting one another, the warroir had a unique fighting style and it helped him rid the battle field of the greatest warroir alive, Lu Bu,As he arrived about 10 feet away from the gate, he looks upwards to see the many guards on walking along the walls, and the archers station in the towers ready and looking downward at Meng if he tried anything funny, but that wasn't the case. In front of him was three Elite Guards both heavily amoured and equiped with swords and sheilds. The head up came up to Meng as he ordered
"HALT......STATE YOU BUISNESS AT THIS CITY"
At Meng, he sort of chuckled as the man guarding the gate was a bit chunky and the roles from his gut where just coming out of him amour, his cheeks was very big that his eyes looked as though they where close, and to top it off he had an high pith voice to go with his large body he then dismounted his steed and introduce himself..
"My name is Lu Meng, I've come here to meet with your new lord Wei Yan"

A well dressed politician could be seen arriving at the main gates of Chang An. Lu Meng was outside the entrance, so he would notice the golden banners carried by the envoy's guards. The two protectors were clad in fine armor and brandished top notch weapons, there was no doubt they were elite in status.
"Hello there, warrior" the man said while approaching Lu Meng. He did not know the southern general, but figured he may be apart of Wei Yan's force.
The envoy dismounted his horse and so did his two elites. All three walked toward Lu Meng and the main gate of Chang An.
"I wish to speak with the ruler of this grand city, Wei Yan."
It was possible the people of Chang An knew of Ma Chao's banners as his family had ruled there for quite some time. However, it was most likely Meng or Yan did not know nor of Mengqi's intentions for this visit.
"My name is Fu Lan and I was sent by my lord, Ma Chao the Splendid, to meet with Lord Yan" the man said. He was well spoken and frail looking, the true signs of a nerdy politician.
Fu Lan awaits a response from the guards!

The guards looked down at both men and then discussed among themselves for a moment. After a bit they called back down.
"Lu Meng, we were told you would come. Please make your way to the audience hall, Wei yan will meet you there."
Then there was a pause. After another few mintues of discussion, the guards nodded and one ran off quickly.
"Fu Lan, of Lord Ma Chao's army, make your way to audience hall. We'll have an escort for you."
When the gates swung open, there stood Lu Rai with his shield strapped to his arm, but no weapon brandished. He nodded towards Lu Meng and then made his way over to be Fu Lan.

Fu Lan was surprised that he would be allowed in without a search, it seemed Wei Yan was a trusting leader. That could be good or bad, depending on the situation.
Ahead of Fu Lan was Yan's second, Lu Rai, and he received a polite bow from the Golden Horde official. Lan noticed the people going about their daily routines and little children singing songs of how glorious their ruler was.
"Hmmm, it is true and i have seen it with my own eyes" he thought to himself. The battlefield menace was supported by the people as if a kind old man, not a raging barbarian. However, one's actions speak volumes and the fact Wei Yan put his life along with that of his soldiers on the line was a demonstration. Great speeches were not always necessary to win over people, just deeds in their name; the name of justice and peace.
"The city seems more magnificent since the last time i have been here."
Fu Lan glanced over toward the barracks and noticed soldiers preparing to partrol but also others hanging around doing nothing. He took in the location of the marketplace and other sites during the lapse in conversation.
They arrived at the palace stairs and Lan had more to say.
"My lord, the great Ma Chao of Xi Liang has heard many great things about your lord. I wonder, after aiding He Jin, would he consider himself a loyal servant of Han?"
Fu Lan just waved his hand and apologized, he was not here to speak with Lu Rai but instead Wei Yan.
The Golden Horde envoy follows Lu Rai and is escorted to the palace....

Aja Jex rode his steed like the wind after finding out about Zhang Jiao's force. It was ashame to him his force went away however he heard a name of a Wei Yan who was great. Jex's horse stood next to the gates of Chang An. He could feel warmer since riding all day however he also needed a place to rest. He said to the guards with his loud voice:
"Guards of Chang An, inform Wei Yan at once a mighty warrior has come to meet him. Inform him also that I bring no harm."
Aja Jex's little brother was away behind him and was ordered to stay until Aja had met with Wei Yan.
The city looked amazing than Aja's small village, this could be his new experiance. He couldn't afford to let this chance go however he wished that Wei Yan was in.
He thought to himself:
"I haven't come all this way to be refused, I shall get what I want."

The guards looked down at the man, a few of them looking him over and judging how much trouble one man could cause. Then they thought about the hell Wei Yan had displayed on the field of battle against Dong Zhuo and quickly nodded to each other. The gates swung open at once as one of the guards called down to the man.
"Aja Jex you say? Very well, make your way to the audience hall, Wei Yan will speak with you there."

At first, many of the guards watching over the Town's Gates may move to warn Wei Yan of Bandits approaching. Dressed in white and blue, they range from the most hardened of warriors, to drunks that simply straggle off on the battlefield. As murmurs would fly through their ranks, two men, one dressed in simple tactician robes, and the other dressed in the armor of a well-set warrior, stepped forwards, each riding a horse of his own. The tactician held up his hand as he approached the gate, the other one steadying himself on his horse, showing that he had no weapons to speak of that were drawn in lethality at the time.
"We come without hostility, dear guards of Chang An. We have come to seek an audience, just the two of us, with Wei Yan. If you allow us, I ask that you allow my personal army to camp out here. We've brought our own food supplies so feel free to reprimand any of my men that attempt to tell you otherwise."

The guards at first had spear's out and shields were heard clanging together from gate top, but then the man spoke and it seemed a wave of relaxation passed over all of them. Bows were unknocked and crossbows were lowered. Heaven's the men had been close to death. One of the guard's grabbed another and sent him running, most likely to the council to tell Wei Yan of his arrival.
"You look of the man Lord Wei Yan fore-told of, though he said he wasn't sure you would come. I am glad to see you have proved our Lord wrong, Master Ji-Huang Liang I presume?" the guard spoke while reading off a small bit of parchment. Orders straight from Lu Rai or Wei Yan no doubt.
"Yes, your men may camp out there, I have no fear of them trying to ransack our great city right now. You and your escort may come into the city, make your way to the Audience Hall. I do believe Master Lu Meng is there right now, so let me apologize fore-hand for any wait."
